The best era for Liverpool: mid 70's to mid 80's! Simply dominant in England and in Europe. Thanks reds ! YNWA from Italy
Early 70s to 1990 ya mean
Bob Paisley back in his slippers for tea an hour later. LEGEND.
Quality player Ronnie Whelan was, I remember meeting him outside anfield in '92' a lovely gentleman too, respect da Irishman..... Class!
Loving this pre-1992 coverage! More please!!
Hey Everyone in Liverpool just want to say have a great day
Not many people can say that they have met Bob, but I can and smiled just as hard now as I did then an I needed that right now, thank you 😷
“This man has won 19 major trophies 🏆 “ - Greatness personified, Legend..!!
I saw this as an 11 year old. That Whelan curler will stay with me forever.
Ronnie Ronnie Ronnie. Saw this game on the box whenI was 9 yrs old. One touch..Right Foot.... favourite Liverpool goal ever.
Paisley deserved a knighthood
he shouldnt have accepted
no, every LFC fan wants one from him
He doesn't need a posthumous knighthood, it would be mocked by loads saying too late etc. He can rest in peace knowing what he won including 3 European Cups and the hearts of the fans, THAT is his knighthood.
@@Popatop42 u indirectly insulted sir alex??
@@taskinkhan5871 Yes, especially because Ferguson didn’t do well in Europe.
Liverpool winning the fa cup on Saturday reminded me of this final as a child and Ronnie's goal. Wonderful memories. What a lovely looking pitch and the old Wembley was a wonderful stadium.
The pitch at Wembley looks bigger than the new Wembley.
@@bernardjay379 it does. Some pitches now adays look narrow.

Paisley was the best we've ever had.
I want Klopp to prove me wrong.
nah bill shankly is better
Until Klopp! ;)
N oubliez pas Bill Shankly !
@The Argyraspides yea, I know he just brought us from the 7th position to the top 2. Yeah I knew that's not a big deal, it happens everyday.
Brother, there is nothing that we can compare. Managing sides is wayyyy different than it was earlier. I just stated that I could see Klopp winning more trophies, that's it :))
@@arnavjaydev4447 we were 8th, not 7th
My favorite player was Kenny Dalglish. Greeting from Bandung Indonesia
19/20; LIVERPOOL FC CONFIRMED!
One of the earliest live telecast of a Liverpool match I saw here in Malaysia.
That Whiteside goal was 🔥🔥🔥 Only 17 in a cup final against the greatest team in the world
I'm Italian but come on Liverpool
Gioele Ghiretti@ God bless Italy.
Ciao gioele...
I'm italian and i'm a Liverpool fan from mid 70's. I remember very well this match: real English football and a great victory for the legendary Liverpool. YNWA from Italy
I remember I watched this match in a friend’s house. I remember how I celebrated after Whelan’s goal. Seems like yesterday. I was 14. Now I am 51.
I can remember that on the second half, the game was in a Liverpool hand. Man U rarely brought a ball across to Liverpool side.
ye destroyed us
Should have been 5-1
@@clivemitchell4316 i be honest it was men v boys that day once they got in their stride
Wish I was alive during these times 😭
No! They had passion. you can do the same. And make our future generations wish they were alive!
I was alive in the eighties hooray!
@@redboy518 yeah but the 80's was a different time altogether. The passion and support was very intense back in those days. It's not the same anymore
@@williamac7725 am just 19yrs old girls😭😭
I was - brilliant times! Wembley 81" - every other year a Lge title/European Cup. Amazing. YNWA
I was there, great day.
In my official programme for this game it states there was a 'Parade of Milk Floats' before the kick off. You simply don't get that kind of entertainment these days.
Watching the video, i ask to myself: "Whiteside? What team this is?" 😂
What a team, so many Legends
Liverpool ar the best club ever
😂😂😂😂😂😂No
@@liamhjaltason5571 yessssss😁😁😁😁
These guys this team , this club we just don't know when we're beaten it's not in our nature to give up lfc for life
Left foot , right foot , Whelan was so good.
You will never walk alone
I Miss Gerrard
Klopp Winning 10 epl titles
5 champions league
4 fa cups
Errr no chance, he will be long gone before then and yes, I'm a Liverpool supporter.
Whelan is my favourite player
One of the best liverpool Kits ever..we repliacated it and won the League.
I was there ....remember it well. YNWA
I love liverpool
This Liverpool side looks so classy, even their jerseys are so classy at that time. Class....
If am overseas player scored this we'd be asking where's this in the English game 😳 I'm sure Ronnie sees himself as an overseas player 🤦♂️🤪
Whiteside, 17 years old??? Geez, those decades people really looked old...
Ha, remember back then when teams consisted of mainly British players and managers.
Legends...still be class in todays game
That's interesting looking league cup
Nice
Anyone notice how similar Whelan's goal was to Curtis Jones belter VS Everton
This the best Liverpool team ever... period
I cried when Liverpool won it😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭m
i love Manchester united from this match.
"The sort of goal if a foreign player had scored it we would say where is that in the English game?" It was scored by a foreign player Irishman Ronnie Whelan! 😅
Ah yes, Ronnie Whelan :-)
This is Liverpool ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I hope video when we celebration division one title in 89/90
Could've made it 4-1😂
Wow, Whelan's worldie was wonderful
Back when it was a working class game. The best of British and Irish players…
You can say that again. In the earlyu to mid 1980s, i remmember arriving at Lime street station and seeing a group of reds supporters going into the St George hotel in the centre. It tuirned out that the hotel was were the team stayed before a home game. Going up the stairs on that first visit, Alan Hansen and Mark Lawerenson were coming down(i was the only person that got past them that day), on another occasion the great man himself, Kenny Dalglish. In the main lounge, fans were talking to players such as Phil Neal and Ian Rush, on one occasion when they were playing Spurs, it seemed like most of the Spurs team were also in the hotel, i remmember speaking to the great Ray Clemmence, all of the players were more than happy to talk to the fans, these days, you wouldn't get anywhere near them.
I miss bob paisley and the legends 😢
You weren't following the club then lmao.
I love this
"If an overseas player had scored it". Er, an "overseas player" did. I lived in London that year and my nickname at McDonald's was "Ronnie" Never had one before--rather liked it. Liked the Londoners, too. Good blokes.
I was there in the United end that day... Singing in your Liverpool slums, in your Merseyside slums... The scouse were a terrifying outfit back then, and Bob Paisley the master...
Bit rich coming from a manc lmao
@@CoolDude-jp1kj lol
@@developer101 Mancs have no class clearly and lack of self awareness
@@developer101 Manchester is full of homeless people and people on the dole and is very poor in itself. Why do you mancs lack so much self awareness?

Great job LFC
Fairclough putting in a performance Bendtner would be proud of.
I live in Oman
This game sealed faircloughs fate
Whelan was an overseas player. He’s Irish
When liverpool was the biggest team in England and no one come close to them.
We will soon be the biggest club in a few years I believe in Klopp
This video doesn’t show Grobbelaar coming out of his goal to foul Gordan McQueen
Those were the days when the league cup actually meant something. Now its a tournament for the big clubs to try their kids out!
В 70-80 годы Ливерпуль был сильнейшим клубом Англии!

Reds my best team
Ah here, how did Fairclough not score in extra time?
great great
19 major trophies in 9 years. How long did it take Ferguson to win all of his?? 27 years???

Nice avatar.
Those shorts are incredibly short
Normal length , now short are down to the ankles like 100 years ago
LIVERPOOL ❤️❤️❤️
Yes
Kick n rush
i repeat to people that Klopp will never achieve what paisley has done. Liverpool will NEVER show consistent winning again like them years ago. the shankly and paisley era is a one - off. unique. and what Klopp did last season is unique, but its ended.
In truth, they didn't win things as consistently under Shankly, either.
Hi. I don't thin you will read this but can you make a video about grobbelaar

Liverpool: 10 shots on target and 2 goals scored. M. United: 1 shot on target and 1 goal scored
Yep, should have been at least 5-1.
Plus the off-target shots from Fairclough in extra-time.
Whoa whoa amazing passion......now seen less among players in generel not liverpool ..pardon me if i am wrong but its my feeling
