Acquaintances and friends may come and go, but best friends are there for a lifetime. My best friend and I have known each other since high school, over 20 years now. He's my BFF and the brother I've never had.
Such a great song!! I've seen him live 11 times. When I saw him in 2013, he opened with this song after not playing it live in many years. Was a nice surprise!!
One of the first songs I ever learned how to play on guitar. Clapton is the reason I ever wanted to play guitar after hearing Bellbottom Blues. Thank you for this.
I forgot about this song. Love it. My brother was a huge Clapton fan. Sadly he passed this past May. Thanks for doing some Clapton on the beginning of this New Year. Hopefully this one is better then the last!
I have 3 of those from childhood. We all moved to different states and I hadn’t seen one for over 30 years. We met in NY this summer, shared a hotel room, talked 20 hours a day and had the best time. It was as if no time had passed. There’s nothing like those relationships. Thanks for bringing this song back into my life. Happy New Year!
This is also my first time hearing this song by Eric Clapton… I was a Clapton fan but I didn’t buy albums or anything so maybe that’s why I haven’t heard it before but thank you for playing it😊
Jay, I know what you are talking about. Got to spend NYE this year in Ohio with my Kindergarten friend playing 80’s vinyls & eating pizza reminiscing about the past. We are now 53. We met at the bus stop at 4 years old. You pick up right where you left off!
I snuck out of my yard when I was three and wandered down around the corner and saw a kid on his screen porch and asked if he wanted to be friends. We have been best friends for over 60 years. Sometimes we would not see each other for months or even a couple years but were always there for each other if needed. The last couple years ,I ended up working with him at the same company. Recently he moved across country to Arizona to be near some of his family so we are apart again…for now, but we are forever connected.
Thanks for the great tune. I recently met up with a friend from high school ( 1960’s ish). We were on the basketball team together, and we were both in our garage band - Joe on drums (he still has the sticks) and me on guitar. Lots of great memories. Next time you’re in the mood for Clapton, he does a great blues tune with Steve Winwood on Tell the Truth.
I know a lot of people but I have one best friend. We met in 1974 in grade 7 and we are still friends to this day. We have a mutual love of music and auto racing. I don't see him often but we talk a lot. He lives a long way away. you brought back some great memories thank you. I always enjoy your show. I would really like to see you do Queens right Jet City woman. And make sure you use the official video. Thanks again.
I was 14 when this song came out, dam I’m getting old thanks for the nostalgia 😊 I have one best friend her and I have been friends since junior high,we still talk every day. I think what made us become friends was we were both adopted not something that was very common back in the day . I’m sure will be best friends till god calls us home. 🫶
You've done many Clapton songs but I don't recall you doing his Derek & the Dominos tune, Why Does Love Got to be So Sad. It's a very fast paced guitar treat. Clapton's voice, singing along with Bobby Whitlows soulful rich cry, is superb. Do not miss it 😉 ❤❤
It’s good to have an old friend that you can talk about when you were kids, my friend has been with me since 1960, we were two years old, we have gone as many as 20 years not seeing each other but then it’s like we were never apart, pick up just where we left off. Ted, I love you and am glag that in my old age you are part of my memories and life. Go.
One of my Clapton favorites. 🙂 Brings to mind my middle school/high school buddy who I go for years without seeing because we live in different states, but when we do it's like we last visited just yesterday. We're 63 yrs. old now -- a friendship like that is a treasure. Thanks for reacting to this gem.
Jay thanks for this one I have his greatest hits cd. I only had one or two friends that I can consider best friends. Happy you keep it going with the tunes
No Reason To Cry is not what I would call Clapton's best album, but it has a few highlights and this is always one of my favourite EC songs! Bob Dylan, Ronnie Wood and members of The Band play on this album too 😊
Me and my best friend have known each other since 1988 when i was 3 and she was a new born baby , we bump into each other every now and then at the local shop which is near to where we both live
An often overlooked MUST HEAR Classic,, From his movie "The Trouble With Girls".. Elvis Presley "Clean Up Your Own Backyard",, His MOST rockin' bluesy track EVER. ❤
Great reaction to an underrated classic. I’m not sure, but I think that’s George Harrison also on guitar here. Maybe not, but whoever is playing that slide, is trying to sound like George. And George and Eric were good friends. Eric is the guest player on The Beatles’ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.
When someone asks how long my best friend and I have been friends, we always say since the 5th grade and name our 5th grade teacher. We have been best friends for over fifty years.
A great song from Eric Clapton how many also think that the guitar work sounds a lot like in the style of late Great George Harrison and in the away he is making the guitar weep in sound to.
My best friend from public school, 12 years old, died this year at 60. We were at each other’s weddings, all 3 of his. He has been sick since 2021.. and, in fairness, so have I. It’s sad to think of all that time, like a brother to me and just like that he’s gone.
You can't make old friends and those are a blessing in ones life. Lost two of my oldest closest friends of over 40 years, in the last several years.. so missed. Love this old classic by Clapton. ❤
Beautiful song!!! I have a best friend who has been in my life in some capacity for 30 years now. We have long stretches at times where we don’t get to talk much. Doesn’t matter how long we pick up right where we left off.❤
Jay first of all Happy New Year 2025 to U n ur Wifey Amber & the kids. U need to react to Michael Kamen, Eric Clapton & David Sanborn - The song is called The Nightclub. U will enjoy that one.
Lost my childhood friend from the age of 3 in 2022 two days before his 67th birthday and we had not seen each other for years until the year before he passed and seeing him the first time in over 20 years it was like we hadn’t missed a beat. Just wished he’d had the extra length of years.
So many great guitar players from the era enjoying is listening to people actually playing instruments no lip-synching no auto play no ass shaking no glitter cannons
J.J. Cale; one of Eric's heroes, along with BB King, Robert Johnson, etc. Here they are playing 'After Midnight', & 'Call me the Breeze': ruclips.net/video/5WUeOEkl270/видео.html
Off of 461 Ocean Blvd album was a song called "Let it Grow" that's a beautiful song by Eric. Check it out Jay! Loved you're reaction to this song!! Thank you! 😊
This here is a great tune! Have you done "Holy Mother", Eric's tribute to The Band's Richard Manuel? Check out the album version if not. Thanks for the reaction! Happy New Year.
Gotta react to the Elton John/Eric Clapton duet “Runaway Train” from the Lethal Weapon 3 soundtrack (I believe it’s 3 at least) Elton and Eric on piano and guitar sounded magical
Ok guys…you’ve held out for a couple years…you really, really, really have to listen to “Vann Johnson” singing Yani song “Love Is All” at the Taj Mahal. 2:12
J/Jordan, would love it if you would revisit Mr. Big. Their timing was bad because Grunge took over. Alive and Kickin', Green-Tinted Sixties Mind, Just Take My Heart. Other bands of that era that had similar bad timing: Brother Cane, Cry of Love, Collective Soul
Bro.... when you ever react to the Outlaws Green Grass and High Tides or stick around for some Rock N Roll you'll say why ! Why did I not check them out sooner
New music requests: 1. Can You Stand The Rain by New Edition 2. O Sheila by Ready For The World 3. The Blues by Tony!Toni!Tone'! (Said as Tony-Tony-Tony) 4. Baby Come To Me by Regina Belle

Happy New Year , Jay! Wishing you all the best. Thanks for the reactions.
"Bell Bottom Blues" is extra BLUESIE! What a giant in the world of music!!
My favorite of Clapton. So sorrowful and beautiful at the same time.
I've always loved this song! Haven't heard it in ages! Kind of perfect for New Year's!! Happy New Year!! Thanks J!!!! ❤
The great Eric Clapton. Amazing musician.

Haven't heard this song in forever. Love your channel!
One of the first songs I ever learned how to play on guitar. Clapton is the reason I ever wanted to play guitar after hearing Bellbottom Blues. Thank you for this.
Bell bottom Blues made me cry when I first heard it and I told myself, I want to give that emotion thru music.
" tears in heaven "
one of my song choices
for my dads funeral ...
A great little song that aint played much but such a nice vibe......Glad you played it Rob...Sometimes these forgotten gems are worth an ear.
Yvonne Elliman was the female backup singer on this recording. Next Eric Clapton track "Let It Rain". Thanks.😊
As a huge Bee Gees fan, Jay will appreciate that she sang the Bee Gees If I Can’t Have You in the Saturday Night Fever movie
Marcy Levi from Shakespeare's Sister had joined EC's band by this point too
I forgot about this song. Love it. My brother was a huge Clapton fan. Sadly he passed this past May. Thanks for doing some Clapton on the beginning of this New Year. Hopefully this one is better then the last!

Two friends you haven't seen in years? Sounds like me. Never needed a lot of folks hanging around but can still enjoy this song.
Happy New Year Jordan, thanks for the video. God bless.
The Core and Lay Down Sally, my personal favorites.

Performers were lip syncing in the 60's. Watch an old Ed Sullivan clip. Nothing new.
The last 10 years has seen a huge return of real instruments and bands using old technology. And then releasing it on vinyl
The Core. Put the headphones on and groove.
How about Oklahoma City’s own J.J. Cale Crazy Mama?
Just wrote this down thank you!
