Except for the ladder bars and the decal on the windshield that looks like grannys 55. That is the Ultimate sleeper! Bet it surprised a lot of cars. 👏👏👏

Sweet car. My car had same bog off line. Same et/mph/60' as yours. Jet extensions on secondaries cured the bog on mine.
That was on our list of things to try,, But thanks for the information,, I'll definitely get Jet extensions.

If you have adjustable front shocks, you need to stiffen the rebound a bit, the car is loading good on the hit but then rebounds and bogs.
I think those shocks are stock except there's a drag shock on one front corner. Car has a nice motor and a good,, Strange 9 inch other than that, it's kind of a turd.

That's very observant,, The frame rails have some dirt in them. And every time the car tweaks off the line. It pukes out some mud or dirt chunks
Like I said it's my buddy's car in my motor,, I don't know if i'd be overstepping my boundaries. If I ask him to wash the bottom of it.

Don't know how much that thing weighs, but with the right suspension tweaks, and that engine tuned up nicely, should be capable of very low 11's, high 10's (depending on atmosphere)!

What gear/converter are you running? Mufflers (sounds quiet at idle).

My 55 could be a real close cousin to this one,but it isnt near as fast.

It's my motor and it's my buddy's car. our goal is to get it to run 10.99 on the throttle, and he's got a bottle in the trunk to try to touch the high 9s . that is the plan

60 foot times are very good l think with some tuning it could go a little better on the top end 11.30s at 120mph but it is leaving the light well
It's got a shumble which I think is a lean. Miss just about 30 feet out. If we can get that worked out. I think there's a solid .10 improvement in that alone
@@dzperformance7360 I'm guessing with that mph you are running 1/2" lines. I ran 11.60s in a 455 TA with 4.10s and a T400 with an 11" converter. Weighed 3400 lbs so probably comparable on power. I ran mine at 36" total 16 initial timing with full advance in at 2100. It's leaving good so if its not supply related it might be uncovering the rear jets and you might consider jet extensions. Could be something that simple. Ya never know.
I am a55 man never was a fan of a four door. But the car is nice

He bought the car for next to nothing, He drove it to my shop to take me for a ride. It was blowing blue smoke. And I thought it was such a piece of s***But we put a nice motor in it and a good rear end and it's a lot of fun

The 383 motor is mine. The car is my buddys, but yeah, it even has the back seat in it and interior,, I think we could drop a 100 pounds on that car. Really easy,

That's my buddy's car with one of my motors. And I think the mufflers are knock off flow masters by summit,

The track is called Mokan, It's right on the missouri / kansas border it's near Joplin Missouri, Very close to Jittsburgh Kansas

Four door and convertibles are for moms and sisters...what a waste of a fine running small block. The least you could of done is ship that girly four door up to that hippie in Saskatchewan and let him hack it into a 2 door.
Yeah, except a 4 door is less than 1/2 the price of a 2 door. I run a '62 Impala 4 door with a 383/PG and it runs in the mid 11s.
