Back in the 90s when I lived in London I had some neighbours in the building I was in that I really liked. Anyway they had a friend staying with them, he was visiting from Jamaica, he was a young guy in his 20s. They all knew I was gay but it wasn't being discussed at the time. Out of the blue this guy announced that there were no gay people in Jamaica. Well it seems he was quite wrong about that!
