I love my gay comedians. 🙌😍🏳️🌈🌈
I've enjoyed watching Solomon's stand-up comedy.
Love this diversity - Thank you!
💜🌼♥️
THANK YOU KING 👑! Our history as black 🖤 gay men is unique. It helps to eradicate self internalized homophobia.. KEEP them coming. MUCH LOVE ❤️
Thank you!❤🖤💚💛💜
I've often watched Spongebob Squarepants with my young nephews and it's hysterical. I'll have to keep an eye out for his episodes.
Spongebob is classic!
Has he faded away? Just pulled him on FB, no posts for years. I enjoy him.
Definitely seen it, but didn't know it was based off true story
Yeah, the British killed a lot of gays in their history
Speak up😊
💜🌼♥️
Informative update. Thanks!
@@MatteBlack2024 Thank you 💜
THANK YOU MY BROTHER! I ALWAYS THE LIKE BUTTON AND DESCRIBE! THANK YOU! KEEP EM COMING!😅😅😅
The original stage play treated the non-white characters as wallpaper, and the film adaptation did very little to improve upon that.😢
When it came out I Love it
I think I have seen it but this year's ago. Love seeing the truth
Homophobes and conservatives don’t realize that taking out our Queer Family, only makes 100 more of us get created!
💜🌼♥️
I saw this movie and found it interesting and like you confused by the anachronism of certain scenes.
Maybe it's interpretive...?
I need to go to Africa and find me a husband that’s where I need to go. I live in America. I need to go to Africa South Africa to find me my future husband. Thanks for the video. Thanks for the video.
2:22 not modern technology randomly thrown in for no reason at all 😂😂😂
@@makeitmakesense2616 I wouldn't have gone that route but I'm not a director 😆
I own this great and sexy movie on DVD as part of my collection. Highly recommended. The anachronisms, such as radios, typewriters and even jeeps, were used to illustrate that homophobia and racism remain in the present.
I was kinda thinking the same thing!
Ah thank you, cause the 70s you never know
This sounds great! Of course they use the "bury your gays" trope. I'm going to try to find it. Is it on any US streaming services?
(106) (Qur'an, Surah Al-Kahf, 103-106) **Say, "Shall we tell you about the greatest losers in respect of (their) deeds? (103) Those whose effort has been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds! (104) They are those who deny the signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight. (105) That is their reward: Hell, because they disbelieved and took My signs and My messengers in mockery. (106)"**
Thank you so much for covering this story, her story.
💜🌼♥️
Really good report and commentary.
Thank you 💛
It's unfortunate. Within the States itself it can be dangerous for LGBTQ+ people to travel from town to town, city to city, etc. When travelling the world, one should not travel alone, but in at least pairs, or trios when a member of a suppressed minority. It shouldn't have to be this way, but the world is populated with monsters.
I agree, we live in some dark times!
Durban, South Africa is gay friendly and also has Durban gay pride. In Joburg you’ll need to mention Shakers nod Factory Nude bar as thriving/preferred gay clubs then those mentioned
I pray that they find Taylor safe and unharmed. 🙏🏿
Me too ❤️🖤💚💛💜🌈
Great💚!
The Mother City Queer Project is NOT a film festival. Its a ARt Project, queer culture party event for the LGBT community and whoever else wants to celebrate individuality and "Queerness". And yes, African govenrments across the continent is largely homophobic and seriously behind the times as far as Gay rights are concerned. Looking at you Uganda, in particular.
❤❤😮😮meu sonho é casar com um africano😮😮❤❤
It took me a moment to realize ... the pronounciation happens to be "Quh-rah-sao" for Curacao 😊 Small glitch, thank you for the video
Hypothetically (IF) Kamala Harris does ever become the Very (1st First) FEMALE American President of United States America in the whole American Political Spectrum &/or History THEN she would be equivalent to Julia Gillard who was our Very (1st First) Australian FEMALE Prime Minister of Australia from our (ALP Australian Labor Party) in our whole Australian Political Spectrum &/or History who was in Office from (2010 Twenty Ten) to (2013 Twenty Thirteen) & before this &/or that she (Julia Gillard) had become our Very (1st First) Australian Deputy Prime Minister of Australia under then Prime Minister' Kevin Rudd of course. Kamala Harris would &/or hopefully will be the America's version of our Julia Gillard who was our Very (1st First) FEMALE Australia's Prime Minister as our (27th) Prime Minister after Kevin Rudd of course.
Don't worry about this a Number of our Aussie (LGBTIQA+) People of Australia & also at the very same time that a Number of our Kiwi (LGBTIQA+) People of New Zealand as Counterparts & including myself would &/or will be backing up all of our American (LGBTIQA+) People also as Counterparts to Support & Vote for Kamala Harris of course. .
Back then it was OK to be closer to one another as it pertained to physical space. Most of these fotos just look like best friends or even family members. Most. Others look like there could have been something.
OMG! I think u already have ALL the ónes I suggested 😂! Yall are great❤❤❤
I PROMISE Imma leave u alone after this😂 Ur channel is SO comprehensive and it makes me think of other stories. If u already have them here, just ignore. Others that may interest u Lorraine Hansberry Luther Vandross The Real World (lgbtq cast member, Pedro Zamora had a Black bf and compelling story and was HUGE in the 90s) Dorian Corey (and the mystery body) Dorsey Swann (1st documented drag queen ...VERY intriguing) Richard Pryor Paul Mooney (rumored) J-setters / lgbtq majorettes/ prancers (i think they either started the style or had a hand in it)
@@QuatMan thank you! Yes check out our playlists 😁
Ooo Honey! I have to got to see the remake! I saw the William Friedkin film version as a closeted gay teen, and they way it built me up and tore me apart was visceral, surreal, and endearing! Seriously, this channel is SO needed in the algorithm!
Thank you, I appreciate it! It's a good movie, I have to review the original soon 🌈💜
The original is better.
👏👏👏
🥰💛
💜🙂🌺
Isn't this film depressing?
Yeah but I still liked it💜🌈
Excellent review. I've seen the original and the remake. Not a fan of either. Perhaps it's me, but it turns me off.
Thank you, and you can't like em all lol
God I need hurry up and get in the industry before it’s too late to share my art
Lol yikes, yes Hollywood is going through! But there's always opportunities, I think theater will always be around in some form 💜
Im not sure if you have seen or reviewed THE CELULOID CLOSET documentary. I think the full film is still downloaded on here. That one is really fascinating!
Oooh that's a good one, I should review it 💛
@@blackgayhistorychannel yes! It features caucasian actors mostly, because of the racism that persists in Hollywood, BUT is somewhat universal in showing how the stigmatization that used to be so common in these rules could still overlap with black voices.
He embodies both feminine and masculine energy but he isn't gay and he isn't bisexual he loves women maybe a little too much if you know what eye mean but he doesn't agree with the miss treatment and bullying of gays he believes everyone has a right to be who they truly are to be free without judgement he is another reincarnation of Osiris kind of like his shadow side
We learn something new every day😊
No way. Blessed for surviving the first time around, and I haven’t forgotten. No need to revisit. Personally, the show feels a little exploitive.
The first thing I thought about was Baby Gap on Noah's Arc. Glad to see more rapper's and black men coming out.
