We had a Boxer when I was a kid. Lara was two years younger than me and died at the age of 10 in 2009. She was the sweetest dog ever. Dad went to training sessions with her and when we walked her and passed other dogs that barked and yelled she was just ignoring them. She was so well behaved. Of course boxers can be pretty excited and like to jump people but that was only the case when I came home from Kindergarten or school and she was so happy that she jumped on me and licked my face with her big tongue... oh she sure drooled a lot. 😅 Boxers are great. So adorable, energetic and yet calm, never aggressive but still protective and ensures safety for the family.
My boxers sit, lay, come, high 5, shake, and stay, leave it and sit in Spanish. I got them together at 5 and 7 months old and they didn't do alot. Not potty trained, that has been the hardest. If you have ever tried to train 2 teen boxers at once you are insane like me.
Boxers begin to slow down a little after they are about 5 years old. But they still require at least two long walks a day. Sadly, most only live to about 10 years old.
I just got a 1 year old boxer that was kept in a small backyard everyday. I have had her about a week and the house training is insane. I have had stubborn breeds, but this girl takes the cake. I am just going to have to stay consistent and pray!🙄
I spent just 2 weeks with my friends boxer pup, and they called the day after getting back home from Panama to say they were shocked!😂 The dog came to them with the leash, sat on command & when they stopped, but they were afraid to remove the leash on walks because they were unsure if recall would work for them or just for me. Either way, they say she's been a far better companion simply by not pulling on walks, not jumping up on people, and bringing them the leash when she's gotta go potty. I only wish they'd taken initiative to match my energy and consistency. Still a fantastic dog, but she goes nuts when she hears my name; checking all doors and windows hoping I'm there.
I run with my boxer until he gets tired, and then I'll continue my walk with him and by then he's not as aggressive on leash ...with less energy. I'll have him sit down and watch the other dogs close by and praise him for sitting down calmly watching the other dog. I do warn other dogs owners to not get close to him with their dog. Excellent dogs once they're trained.
My dog is like this a lot. Gets fixated and won't listen either... I need help, I'm 24 and struggling really bad. I don't want to have to lose my dog... what can I do
People that have no experience or willingness to consistently train dogs, shouldn't have them in the first place. This is the truth you don't want to hear, dogs are hard work and the majority of dog owners aren't qualified, and shouldn't have them. So, you either put in the time and money to correct your dog, or keep it away from people and the public, or give it up.
Is she full boxer? Her face doesn’t look it? The energy doesn’t go away I have a 4yr old female and her 7 month old son! One boxer can harness more energy than the sun!
Yeah, thats my dog. My dad actually, got two females from the same litter. And I'm the one who take care. I need some more tips, because they are stroong
Poor thing! She wants to be a Good Girl, but her parents are incompetent! I rescued an “out of control” male boxer. Neutered him, loved him, and spent time with him. Jetson was a Wonderful Good Boy! One of the best dogs I’ve ever had! May he chew everything in his afterlife!! And slobber around everyone in Dog Heaven. We don’t deserve dogs!
This is rude to say. You don’t know what’s going on peoples lives that they aren’t able to give him proper training. Not to mention most people don’t have the know how. They did what they knew best and seeked professional help….
what training did you exactly demonstrate. I didn't see any training whatsoever. I used a shock collar and it worked very well and very fast. Trained my boxer pup with it, and he was calmed down within the first three days of using it. Everytime he jumped, tried to run off leash, didn't act calm on the leash gave him a small poke. It works people. Saves you a lot of my money, time, and frustration. Used it for 5 weeks total when he was just under a year, and has been good ever since.
Disagree. Raised Boxers my whole 72 years. Mom was AKC Boxer breeder my whole life. Your approach is flawed. Boxer reacts to a loving owner..Not a voice/lease. At 4 months old Mom had puppies walking on their hind legs
My boyfriends boxer is really aggressive with strangers is their anyway that you can go over aggressive dogs. I can’t even take him to the vet without him going crazy.
Missed your videos! Realizing that your still sorting the move out.I hope too see more of your videos soon. Just got my 12 Week old Staffy. Right now he’s not too food motivated. Getting the eye contact and teaching Him his name-this is going easy so far. Not much luck charging the board yet, but hoping time and repetition will do the trick.
Yall read the description of the video , Out of control boxer meets dog trainer . That's what the video was about . Yall act like the video was misleading of the title .
I'm trying to train a 1 year old boxer who wasn't trained as a puppy he don't know anything because he was a outside dog for a year it's been a very difficult time I been getting very annoyed and irritated when he jumps runs he has so much energy I'm trying to stop all the energy and potty training right now but it's been difficult at least he goes to the door but I don't think he understands outside is using the bathroom not playing
Be patient. I have two boxers 1 male 1 female and I love them to death. They definitely have lots of energy but if u r consistent with training they will eventually do better. My 2nd boxer was a little more difficult to train but he got better overtime. I’m not a dog trainer but I tried what I was able to do with them. They would tear all my shoes, bite walls, mess my carpet up,and yes it was annoying frustrating but patience is key. They r both good listeners now and they know where to go potty and no more tearing things up. U have to definitely take them outside so they can run and exercise or else ur home will look like it got burglarized
have a boxer mixed with stafford - very cool anymal ..but bro ...srry to say learn about there energy and how to realy channel it ! .... they need walks , play time and a lot of attention to reduce wild behavior ..and that is ok ...i was thesame when i was young and look at us now ...., i stopped him from jumping up , going insane when seeing another dog -etc you just need to b real with them .... AND THEY LOVE YOU FOR IT
I have a boxer/beagle mix. My husband and I wanted an active dog and we got it. We are in our mid 50's. He's our hiking buddy, our walking buddy. He loves to play fetch and RUN and thankfully we have a huge fenced in yard as well. We get him tired everyday. Rainy days are not his friend. He's finally calming down a bit after 3 years, still nuts at times but starting to calm down. Love our boy!
That dog thinks YOU ARE IN LALA LAND!! your not walking, you're not playing, you're not training... All I see is you yanking the leash around, blatantly poor dog training. That dog is trying to play with you or the camera man and is just politely ignoring your obnoxious leash yanking and jestfully trying to get you to do something as you just stand around. Tell her what you want or go do something. You are the problem here!
Not a trainer . Simple fix without paying hundreds for ur dog pulling you is a chest mounted leash uses their weight against them . If they pull it’ll turn them around
It doesn't look like it boxer, that happens because people doesn't adhere the standards and more and more !!boxer!! Looking like this whit big snouts., is look like a mix boxer.
It is scary how bad this dog is. Out of control, can easily kill a kid or a driver. When will people realize the root cause is the owner and FORCE people to train dogs. Force them. BEFORE they hurt someone

Lol I had something similar happen dogs at three dogs all 8 yrs, a pitbull, a working line lab, and a husky in a bloody townhous🤦 I was not having them jump, mouth and bark incessantly, nor did I let them ruin the furniture eat garbage and remotes, they were shocked I had handled all three without major issues, amazing what discipline and lots of regular excersize does

The energy never goes away and it takes a ton of work to channel it and get boxers to focus. Lol but I love my little baby.

This is a perfect example of why it is critical to get started off on the right foot.
Boxerdogs are very very smart dogs

I have a 9 month boxer, she is so hyper! I get stressed sometimes so I need to train her asap
Lol I just love boxers! They definitely aren't for the weak🤣
Beautiful dogs and yes not for weak. We have work to do with ours.
It took a lot of time and effort to reign in my boxers energy. Still has a ton of it, but he's a good boy on walks now and when we leave him home.

One of my favorite breeds.
The dog walk is hilarious I have a 6 week old 1 right now I don't need no leash but it do the same stuff
My dog is like this a lot. Gets fixated and won't listen either... I need help, I'm 24 and struggling really bad. I don't want to have to lose my dog... what can I do

Beautiful Boxer, nice and not-so-snub-nosed, but my, does this girl have lots of energy! Looking forward to the "after" video :-)
Omg a boxer whit its nose at the right place did not see that the last 15 years ..😊
Is she full boxer? Her face doesn’t look it? The energy doesn’t go away I have a 4yr old female and her 7 month old son! One boxer can harness more energy than the sun!
thats not a pure breed boxer, Look at her muzzle
Yeah, thats my dog. My dad actually, got two females from the same litter. And I'm the one who take care. I need some more tips, because they are stroong
My boxer is a year and 2 months old is it possible to still train him?
Yes, definitely! Our online courses on diyk9.com can help.
A lot of great free training videos available all over RUclips, no need to pay for them. Try clicker training to get started.

I've always had boxers you got to exercise them lots of energy
What happened to Zoey the boxer part two with her training. She describes our dog to a tee! I see this was 10 months ago….
So cute 🥰
Boxers I know have had attention spans of gnats but love to play
You boxer has a mind of her own.

It's been hectic. We're getting there. These are older videos were finally getting pumped out. Tons more to come
To cute
Oh I just saw a 10 minute advertisement. Watch how a untrained boxer behaves No solutions. Kind of a waste of time. Yes or NO..? .Give me back my time
Thank you for saving me 10 min
There’s a part two, when the boxers fully trained
Waste of time for sure. My exact words when it was over.
And where did it say it was a tutorial of some sort?

Train the owner as well or all the dog training in the world wont do any good
you don't talk much about boxers. Never recommend them as family dogs. why?

Zoe would be no fun. Way too out of control.
She’s beautiful but off the hook hyper.

How did you do that only within 2 weeks of being together?
