Such a great video! So helpful too see a great balanced trainer using bigger dogs and particularly doing it in dog parks with lots of distractions! Thank you so much
Hey there this is John from Minnesota, US. Following and implementing your training sessions with my teenage Drahthaar. They are awesome!!! Still need a lot of work on impulse control and for her to pay attention to me and not the reward, but getting there. Thanks for making your knowledge available
Love this! THANK YOU! My 8 (almost 9) week old GSP/Lab puppy walks pretty well on her leash, and I give lots of verbal positive reinforcement, but the jumping and nipping/biting/tugging (when playing) is what has been the thorn in my side… I’ve used a few pieces of advice from other videos of yours as well (specifically the Kong meatcicle for crate training worked WONDERS for me today)… Your advice and videos make me feel empowered to train my dog well! I will be pursuing professional puppy training as well, but even just the smallest tips and tricks that I’ve gained in the meantime from your videos have been amazing! Thank you for all you do!
This boxer very much reminds me of my six month old ESS. He is doing fantastic with most of his training until we are out around distractions in the real world. Using a slip type collar makes a night and day difference in focus on me.
Me too. People don’t like prong collars and I have always been against them but having seen you use them in breeds that will literally strangle themselves on slip lead ( this is my dog) they seem to be super super effective.
Can you come to Bedfordshire fella 👍, same problem , but with a little fluffy frenchie/poodle cross that's a bit more fragile , not sure of collar or set up , need you really
Have you ever thought about using a head collar rather than a prong collar? I haven't got anything against prong collars, just would be really interested on your views on head collars 😀
Hi! i think because some dogs may take a longggg time to get used to a head collar, it may work for some dogs, but some that are very high energy like this one, and spins a lot, head collars may not be the best, the head collar can cause whiplash, neck injuries or spinal injuries, but again, not for everydog. same as prong collars, its not for every dog! :)
Same as my XL bully trainer couldn’t get it on mine either to powerful and scared so now I just stick with my front clip harness and try run to keep up lol
Can you suggest a difference between the prong and Hrm Springer? My boxer is amazing to walk however on a harness he always wants to pull a little ahead. He also has a hard time when other dogs get around us he will literally lay down and refuses to move, then lurches if they get close just to play never aggressive. If anyone could suggest which collar would be preferred I would greatly appreciate it. I didn’t want to use the prong as I heard they may get used to it. He is 2.5 years old now and just needs a slight tune up as seen in this vid as far as I can tell. Thanks ❤
My boxer is a year old. He usually has not aggression issues. When I step off the back porch and walk around the backyard, he's suddenly attacking my feet, boxing me, jumping. I can't take a single step without him doing something. Our other dog has actually started trying to protect me. How do u train him to chill out?
When I bought my first prong for my pittie she adjusted really well. Became much easier to walk. Now, she gets to where she pulls so hard she ends up with marks in her neck. Gonna get some rubber tips but idk how to get her to engage w me in anyway. She's so distractible. Not to mention her destructive side, chews on everything BUT her toys. *sigh* she's a work in progress.
I have a 1 year old boxer. He lunges at people and level 10 reactive towards dogs, specially small ones. I have taken him to behavioral training and dog school. It is extremely challenging and I only hope training will help. I am not so sure. He is working line so prey drive is off the roof. Wish someone could share experience if had any boxer dogs previously. This is wild and I am doing my best. Exercise and training everyday. 4 hour park walks every single day to release his energy…
If you're ever coming near Basingstoke/Reading, let me know Will, I've got a little guy who needs to meet you :P It's quite literally a 50/50 whether he plays with the dog/person he meets or decides to fly off the handle. Once he knows the dog/person he will smother them with affection, but trying to walk past a new dog is a nightmare!
Great video! My dog's walks have transformed because of your guidance! However, he's still wanting to be up front and no amount of correction has helped that. We also have a baby who will start crawling soon and the dog has started to show some aggression to other small kids. Do you have any trainers in Canada that either work with Fenrir or you know that employ your strategies? I'm at a loss!
I'm interested to know more about what you said at the beginning of the video about having different tools as signals for different styles of walks. I am currently doing behaviour modification with my older dog based on your videos and a slip leash, it is working brilliantly. Will I be able to return him to walking on a harness and have our progress translate? Similarly I am training a new 7month old rescue dog who's engagement is brilliant but has started coming out of her shell and getting a bit scatty brained on walks occasionally, I have also been using a slip leash on her and getting success, but would like to get her in a harness also...
Thank you for this. One of our pups is a highly reactive, fearful boy. We've paid thousands. Now I am hoping that your videos will help. Please do some in house training on how to stop the pacing and incessant barking and be able to let people in.
Lovely video again 👍 Really need to get a Guinness on the weekend 😀 Quick question and really off-topic, but regarding the video making: in your recent uploads there is some heavy vignetting in the corners. Do you put filters in front of the lens?
Hello will. I have a question I know a lady in kilkenny that is in need to help train their kerry blue beagal, she is a puppy just around a year old but she is hard to walk on the lead at times and would love to be able to walk to heel to be able to walk her a little more. You state in this video your free of charge to the help of dogs, can you explain a little more on this please. Thank you kindly.
Are you coming to Australia? I have a lovely 6? year old American Staffy/Mastiff (diagnosed with anxiety?) Rescued on side of road as a puppy. Owner can't walk him and I have been trying to teach him following your vids (minus the collars). He is much better on the lead (with me but not owner), but is extremely reactive to dogs (fine with people), and due to his size this is a problem.....please help! His owner has talked about maybe giving him away and I can't take him :( He really is a gentleman and just a wonderful woof.
Another superb video mate, well done. Do you have, or are you planning on making any content to control a dog barking? my 8 month old cocker spaniel barks uncontrollably when he’s excited and I have no idea how to stop it :(
This kinda changes my original view of fenrir. Now i think the message comes across wrongly. The reason Will introduces prong is cause of time / dogs age and its easyer to get the pop right for inexperianced owners. I train with slipleads and just do turns. and it took my dog a few turns then he learned im also not as stricked as Will might be... but still after 4 months i sometimes get the pop wrong and my GF messes up with the pop 10x more, BUT we do command -> punishment(pop) or reward if he comply with the command. DONT EVER THINK OF THE PRONG AS A QUICK FIX!!! The use of prong should only be a last resort choice if you consult a trainer like Will or Tom Davis.
Any dog can be a perfect dog just needs the right leadership to encourage him 💪
Such a great video! So helpful too see a great balanced trainer using bigger dogs and particularly doing it in dog parks with lots of distractions! Thank you so much
omg I am so excited for this series! I have a 7month old boxer.

Awesome to see you on the Emerald Isle Will! Hope you enjoyed your time here as well, absolutely amazing work as always :)
This intro - full TV-quality. Great work with that nice Boxer, and that beard must sure be handy to determine wind direction :-)
Great video will! Love to see you working with dogs out and about rather than at your desk! Great informative content. Thanks
I feel in love with the Boxer!!! I have to use a gentle head lead to walk my Boxer.
I am in this same spot with my 1yr old cane corso.. thank you for this !
This is getting so good Dude ! Better than any of the pants TV shows. Your growth has been amazing to see.
Another great easy to follow video
The music was also great ! 😅
This boxer very much reminds me of my six month old ESS. He is doing fantastic with most of his training until we are out around distractions in the real world. Using a slip type collar makes a night and day difference in focus on me.
Beer moustache is the best. Liked it and smiled full teeth when saw it :).
How long would a prong collar be required for Will? Always or will the dog learn quickly and no longer need it.
He will learn eventually! But until the owner has 100 percent control over the dog you should use the prong. Prong collars are great
Man I'd want to say that you're awesome I love watching your videos you're so good with dogs and yourself pack leader
Also, make a video on how to buy a prong collar and how to use. That would be awesome.
i’d like to see that as well
Me too. People don’t like prong collars and I have always been against them but having seen you use them in breeds that will literally strangle themselves on slip lead ( this is my dog) they seem to be super super effective.
Y’all don’t have manners these days.
Can you come to Bedfordshire fella 👍, same problem , but with a little fluffy frenchie/poodle cross that's a bit more fragile , not sure of collar or set up , need you really
Saint catherines Park Lucan Co.Dublin a nice park highly recommended. Great video.
Lady: "yeah."
ffs. lol
Another fantastic video Will.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to watch you in person.
Keep up the amazing work.

Brilliant Video, nice to see you in my home country! Looking forward to seeing more 😀
Boxer's are ADHD in a fur suit, just have to be patient and clear with your expectations. Easily my favorite breed
I literally have that same harness in my house but I had to transition to a prong with a flat and safety clip for both of my dogs.
I have a MASSIVE (bigger than most german sheps) black and white boxer, but he is actually just a little guy with stupidly powerful legs
My last boxer was black and white. He was the best!
One more lovely video. Such a good example of what leadership and understanding dogs for real is! I just feel very happy about Will's work.
What kind of collar is good for a miniature dachshund? These videos are great. Learning so much
A trainer couldn't even get a prong collar on to my boxer! This dog is an angel comparatively so. Just a bouncy normal boxer
Same as my XL bully trainer couldn’t get it on mine either to powerful and scared so now I just stick with my front clip harness and try run to keep up lol
That was a lovely example of a Boxer and he responded well.
How nice was that Guinness 😋

My boxer is a very similar character to the one in this video. I need to work on these techniques.
This is Brilliant well done u make it look easy: Suppose it is if dog owners listen thanks
I love this guy!
really impressed great stuff
Will, come to St. Luica 🇱🇨 in the Caribbean … we could really use your help!!
How far is international ? Africa? South Africa…??
Well done Will!!!🙌🏼
Boxers are the best❤
"Yeah" "yeah" "yeah" "yeah" "yeah"
It would be great to see another way to teach the dog as prong collars are illegal here in Australia.
Can you use a slip lead?
You can use simple leash corrections and one stern 'No' when the dog does something you don't want it to do
Will can you come to Vermont
Very good sir
If you ever come to South Africa please look me up as my GSD and I could do with some of your expert help.

If you ever want to come to Vermont, USA and do some training Will, I've got a pup for you, lol Lovely, free accomodations for you and your family! :)

Great Video. What size prong collar did you use on the boxer. Am looking but between 2 sizes so not 100% sure
Where you get the prong from in the UK. The H&S PRONG preferably
Von wolf in Surrey stock them
Will id love to get with you and see if you could meet my Mastador for some training.

Can you put in the comment link where to buy recommended prong collar? I did few weeks training with my boxer and experience the same problem. Thank

Yeah

How do I book you for my out of control patterdale rescue dog desperate.
Where can you get a good prong collar from in the uk?
Is there a cool sponsorship going on here?
Lovely video again 👍 Really need to get a Guinness on the weekend 😀
Quick question and really off-topic, but regarding the video making: in your recent uploads there is some heavy vignetting in the corners. Do you put filters in front of the lens?
Is this going to include Colorado in the US? :D

Nice!
Where can you buy a prong collar with the round edges?
Herm sprenger is the only prong you should buy
Best informative trainer I have seen. With amazing results.
Do you have a prong collar that you suggest? I've got a mini aussie who's about 20 pounds and I'm not sure what to get.
Herm Sprenger. German made, quality materials, rounded prongs, best brand on the market.

My friend's spaniel does this too and she's tried everything but nothing stops it
Where are you guys touring? And how does one sign up?!
Check out Will's instagram for more details!
ye
can i get a “yeah” counter
Would you like to come to Australia and help me with my 13 week old Boxer boy?😊
I do have some money, not a lot but would love to hire you to help me my new friend. I live in USA. Fancy a trip?
Yeah okay
Yeh
A weekend tour? What?
