in my own opinion, you will never find a better dog than a boxer when you have a full family. they are both best friends with your children and loyal protectors of the whole family. we have two five year old males. and they are litter mates. They bring us nothing but joy!
Both of my parents and my boxer dog all died in the past year. So I bought a new boxer pup. It was just him and me, him being the 7th Boxer I have owned since 1984. When you have a boxer you need to play with them or they get a bit ornery. I took him home at 8 weeks and by 12 weeks the games were on. One day that I had done a lot of work, I made a TV Dinner of sweet & sour chicken, a salad, drink, desert and bread and placed it all on a TV tray in the kitchen. In my house there are two different paths from the kitchen to the living room where I eat my dinner an watch TV and I took the wrong path. I should have remembered and known better but absent mindedly I took the path where I walked by my boxer puppy. Carrying my tray and dinner as I walked by my pup, it donned on me oh,oh and sure enough right at that instant he read my mind and tripped me. My dinner went up in the air all over the place and I fell on my stomach on the floor. I was madder than hell swinging my fists and he just stood back and looked at me like "Been walking long human?" The thing that really surprised me was that he didn't go after any of the food on the floor or anywhere. It doesn't do any good getting mad at them because they will always love you through thick and thin. I thought about it for a long time and I bought him a mate. She's a fawn boxer that will be 5 months old in 6 days. It wasn't so much that I wanted to breed them as it was that I wanted a companion for him. It is so fun watching them. It is really good for the heart. Thanks for posting.

It's too bad you didn't get a boxer from rescue. They're so many beautiful, deserving ones in rescue. There's absolutely no reason to breed and add to animal overpopulation. Please spay and neuter your new babies help stop the cycle. Do it for the breed you love. Maybe you would enjoy getting involved with a boxer rescue and fostering. I was raised by a boxer, my best friend, and I do that to honor him.

I've had 3 Boxers in my life. Bandit my first was a brindle male that passed away at 10 years old. I currently have Kaiser a fawn male who's 8 and was a rescue that stole our heart. Most recently we have Stormie a pink freckled face White (with one brown spot on her leg) female that's 3 1/2 months old and she has quickly made herself at home. Keeps us on our toes during this early (and sometimes stubborn) stage of training. Couldn't think of owning another breed other than a Boxer or a Bassett Hound. They are the best IMO ♥️🥊🐶♥️

BEST BREEDS EVER ( this is not a opinion but a fact) The boxer is so great with kids I am on my fifth boxer dog I have owned there was tank and Tyson Tyson past at nine tank past February 1 of 2023 at the age of 8 tank and Tyson were real brothers same mom different dad. After Tyson’s pass we got Maggie our first girl dog she and tank were totally opposite but we’re also best buddies when Maggie turned a year old tank past so she was alone until this Cristmas when we got Clark he was named after clark griswold from Cristmas vacation him and Maggie are now best friends but not even a week ago we rescued Hugo his owners were arrested for drugs and meth use when one of his owners brothers went to the house he found 9 boxers in total 5 adults and 4 pups they were covered in over a hundred fleas and had bad worms all of the pups were so slim that you could see their ribs they were so small but so cute we got him cleaned up now he’s perfect health. Tank was a fawn Tyson was fawn Maggie is fawn Clark is flashie brindle and Hugo is just brindle. If you are looking for a loyal guard and a good family pet boxers are the breed for you! They are definitely trouble makers though Maggie, ate a pacifier had it surgically removed had about 25 stitches up her stomach and the day she got them removed she ate another one! But I love my dogs!

@jacobjarisch4577 I think the brindels or fawns are great also. It's the boxers goofy personality and love that makes them so loved. Duke, my white Boxer, was always so happy. He got such goofy looks on his face. His ears flopped and the word that describes him the best in "EXUBERANT"
I was looking at a boxer adoption res ue in Holly, MI, but they WANTED 700.00$ I o ly get 853$ a month, so, I won't get to havevanother boxer. I'd settle for any kind ,even a deF one I suppose. I just love their personalities 💕
So totally disturbing to see all these wonderful pups without their tails. In Germany, the country of origin of the breed, it's illegal to cut their tails or pin their ears, for good reason!

Many boxers are naturally born without a tail. Furthermore in breeds like boxers tails sometimes have to be amputated due to injuries.
