      Hey Maggie. i know you have done Righteous Brothers many times but you might want to check out Summertime by RB (Bobby). I believe he, or i just don't know much about notes which is true, may have a little crack in a high note but he just goes off like something you have not seen in the prior videos. Minutes of him at his higher end just shredding a the song. I think you may find it really special.

    The ony probem with watching a reaction to Michael Jackson is he is so INFECTIOUS. You start watching Maggie........and then--through no fault of your own--your eyes start getting drawn to MJ...................and then you're done. I had to watch this reaction 4 times to actually get the reaction part

    There's a reason why Michael was such a good dancer, for one thing he practiced like 1/4 of a daytime (6 hours more or less) on a daily basis. (Of course with natural talent aswell).

  • @Amalgam80

    One of the reasons many of Michael's videos are even better than just the songs is the sound of whatever is happening in them. The air vent, the buckles on his outfit, the feet sliding across the ground, etc., all those extra sounds really makes the video a unique experience.

    Is there anyone that tries this hard? Nothing comes to mind for dancing but Falling in Reverse comes to mind for music video production at least.
    Edit: just remembered Usher's half-time show from the 2024 Super Bowl which had tons of choreography, roller skaters (multiple), and singing with multiple artists.

    You know why Michael Jackson is the King, during his prime he's unbeatable, and in his time all the artist are great, his surrounded by all of this great artist, but his ontop of them all, he's the greatest of them all.

  • @MannysVisionStudio
    @MannysVisionStudio 6 месяцев назад

    He really trained hard to maintain a lot of what made his voice as a kid so special and brought it into his adult vocals. You really hear that when he shouts “I’m BAD!” That little vocal range you mentioned sounds very familiar to his earlier work as a child. He really knew how to do that well.
    I met Brad Sundberg who worked with Michael from Captain EO to his onward projects and even he mentions in person that he brought a lot of what worked for him as a child and used those skills here. Pretty interesting stuff. One of the few artists that has completely changed and utilized new and older vocals to be something unique and different. No one does that.

    Did you know that there was an initial project on this song to make a duo with Prince, but that other singer, and composer, declined, partly saying something like: "You're not going to sing to me 'Your butt in mine', no way" (This is probably not the precise quote, but sure gets the basic meaning of Prince's reaction).

    It’s funny when I hear this song I have two versions running through my head along with this one. You have Weird Al’s parody “Fat” and there’s a kid’s version of “Bad” from his “Moonwalker” movie. 12:00 Michael loved to find people who were very talented and spotlight them. His final tour he was working on his had a guitarist by the name of Orianthi that he brought her in to play the guitar solo in “Beat it”.

    8:27 Well, he came from a multitalented family where his father was known for exploiting them (Jackson 5) to be crazy perfectionist since children, also the culture in those days was very different and he was incredibly gifted, charismatic, super confident and i believe felt his performances, he cant stop felling the rythm. Today the quality is way lower than before, But also others who really work hard dont have his talent.
    Same applies for Rock bands in 80's with today rock bands...

    To be truthful, I always have a bit of a problem singing along to this song. Every time the chorus section hits, after the first two "I'm Bad" lines, I don't sing the "You Know It!" part that comes next, but instead sing along with the BACKGROUND vocals going "Really, Really, Bad!". Anyone else have that problem?
