What a great experience and blessing to have the opportunity to visit Shawn for 3 days of in person lessons. Looking forward to following up with some online lessons. Gives new meaning to throwing the club :) To me, it is all about feeling the weight of the club head and using natural forces, my club head speed jumps by about 15mph when I do this correctly and it feels like less effort. This really helps you feel speed where it should be, at the bottom and also drag for lag, nice drill.

      The grip has to match up with your release pattern and other elements of your swing. For me, a strong grip is death. Even with a neutral grip, my solid balls are draws and my miss is a hook. Every time I try a stronger grip, the hook just becomes unplayable. Of course, this is all a chain reaction. If I had a different release pattern, arm and body action, I'm sure a stronger grip would work better for me. I personally hate the way a strong grip looks and feels. It makes me feel right hand dominant. A neutral grip gets my hands activated more equally.

Do to the lightness of a golf club I can’t feel it in space . It’s hoisted then it feels like I’m pulling a 3 foot piece of string . intermediate maybe four feet in front of you . Are you actually saying to have 3 targets, of which two are in reference to the main target ? Your mind is on the target , eye on the blade of grass just behind the ball , as well as your peripheral seeing the 12 inch target ?

    • @rexxengineering8333
      @rexxengineering8333 Год назад +1

      I think this is an artificial difference. The swing is a circular path. You don't swing at the ball or at the target. You swing along an arc. The ball is part of the arc. So you can certainly make the ball your target as long as you are swinging along the proper arc (path, plane, etc). You will not be over the top doing that. The problem comes in when that is misinterpreted to be "swing in a straight line from the top of the swing to the ball". That's over the top. But thinking about swinging to the target can cause problems as well if misinterpreted. This can cut off the swing and result in pushes. The swing is more or less an arc on an inclined plane. My best shots happen when I follow the arc, though in general, I don't think about such things.

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Год назад

      @@rexxengineering8333 this is why we always use an intermediate point and use the arc-blur of club to intersect through both INTO THE FLIGHT PLAN which leads to the end target; you are correct that you cannot go 2 dimensionally straight to the end target as there are way to many things missing between that such as curvature, height, wind etc…
      On our premium channel we have awesome titles such as blur of club, and “arc-blur unstoppable momentum series, and the all important “alignment reload” which educates the golfer on the pitfalls of trusting human side vision.

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Год назад +1

      No, his swing had space to return the arms under him through impact; he was short with long arms, I am tall with short arms; that is why we look different. Moe had told me that there was one spell of time where he was hitting it 30 yards longer than usual and then it went away; this is the reason right here!

    • @todd7706
      @todd7706 Год назад

      Moe does not have the knee bounce but I do like how he teaches to keep the right heel down through impact. For me it keeps my hips from spinning out and helps me to square the club face. I appreciate how Moe simplifies the swing with less moving parts.
