Love your full shot videos..... but would love some more chipping and pitching videos to clean up those missed greens. Crazy how you can save par with a great pitch after making a mess
58 or 60 with 6 to 8 degrees bounce and the grind that has the toe and heel ground out of the back of the sole to open it easily. See Henry Salvo’s answer! 👍
The printout of what is said on the video is blocking out the critical part of the video "the ball and the club hitting the ball" This could be modified to a less imporeant area of the video. Thank you. Pat Cosgrove
Shawn, I hope all is well. Been a full 10 months since I started golfing, and started watching your channel. The grip, and the explanations of the swing compared to hockey which I've played for 30 years and baseball have helped me score my best round, an 81 from 6700 yards. My problem right now is I'm stuck over the ball. I don't have a move that feels comfortable enough to lead me into my back swing. It's different every time, and sometimes it's like I'm in jail over the ball and I have no idea how I still hit a decent shot, but I know it's just going to get worse if I don't address it. You've got me this far, I need a little help here. Thanks in advance! Mike
Looks like you need soft hands to do that, but amazing chip shots 👍 It would be interesting hear his thoughts about golfswing. What makes his swing so accuracy and reliable?
Absolutely love hearing your concepts Shawn from another (highly skilled) golfer - other than yourself. Just another point of reference when it comes to describing feels and explaining what tasks work for them!
All your content is excellent Shawn, but for me this may very well be the best stoke saving instruction ever from anyone. I play in Vancouver in the winter and Florida grass in the winter has caused me great distress. It boils down to technique and now i will know what to work on. I was doing it wrong. Thanks guys.
@@jdheelfan predictions is where it’s at! You are getting ready to swing in the direction of the target, which club will be able to collect the ball from that lie? If the grass is deep, you don’t want to hit the ball into a wall of grass! 😝
Yes, you want to have 8 degrees bounce or less at 58 or 60 degrees with the Z-grind in Callaway, M-Grind in Titleist and the Cleveland wedges are awesome too, those are the ones Jammie has; zip core Jammie?
Thanks for all of the help over the years , my full swing owes everything to WIG and I'm quite happy with it! Chipping I still struggle with unfortunately. How do I incorporate his advice that he gets a lil wrist in the shot to feel the club and his ball position? Seems different than the standard WIG advice?
Just adds to the portfolio! Short game is an art! Start with a 6 pound sledge hammer with the short chip-long putt and you can’t miss! You have seen that on premium right? Did you try it?
Thanks Shawn! I'll keep working at it, I think I'm just being too "rigid", because I'm having issues with it. I suspect I need to get my hips etc more into the swing. I was a Premium member for a few years, saw you twice in New Jersey and Williamsburg back in 2016/17 ish. Getting back into the game more after a lay off due to career changes. Full Swing didn't take much tuning up at all. Thanks again man, you were a pleasure to be around and I enjoy your enthusiasm! Only stop for golf knowledge, your thought fits in so much with what I know from meditation/philosophy even! Glad to see your success!@@golflessons
We got John Carroll in Naples at Talis Park, Ricky Serrano in Maryland at Cat Tail Creek Country Club, Edouard Montaz in Paris and Jammie Lett in Alabama, myself in Quebec, Donna Norman in Toronto at Richmond Hill Golf Club, Cody Vanderford in Dallas and Justin Tang in Singapore…working on a bunch more!
When are you coming back to Charlotte, Shawn? This is very applicable content for me. My problem is being short sided and into the Bermuda grain when the greens are rolling 11. Usually I just accept that I’ll be 20 feet from the pin.
Best golf videos on RUclips!
Can you have Jammie do other chips and pitches por favor? Like when not short sided etc...
These are for short side chips!
@@golflessons Yes that's why I was asking if you can have Jammie show the other types of pitches and chips.... thanks!

A person who can chip and putt is a match for anyone! 👊💪👌
J. Michael Riley is my son. Thanks to both of you for working with him!
Hi Fred! Your son was amazing to work with; a real pleasure! And my son’s name is Riley! 👍😀👌
J is such a great guy!! ALOT of game and some great things ahead 💪. Thanks for watching the video!

@@jammielettgolf5154 He sure thinks the world of you. Thanks again!
I use the new Ping ChipR for these short sided, over the fringe shots!
What degree club is this best used with? 60 degree? And you mentioned an open face, so you would need to aim a little left of hole?

Right on Bruce! A man with a plan! 👍👌👊💪
Seems so simple!
Jammie makes it look crazy simple!
At Brushy Mountain we have the Bermuda rough around the green that is so long you can't see the ball at all when it settles down.
Saw a few of those during the round; had to lay up on a par 5 on my second shot because of one of those! 😝😝
Still made par but worked for it!
@@golflessons I always try to hit a 3 wood or hybrid when my drive gets in the rough on our PAR 5s. It never works out.
