Exactly & the racers ought to do it more often without being afraid but we have always seen over the years so many racers wanna taunt those who double bulb them.
Because she's won championship she thinks she's entitled. She's turned into a bit of a cry baby. It's race day. It always cracks me up when drivers get upset if somebody double bulbs or deep stages them. It's part of racing , your trying to win.
She’s definitely a woman who has a hard time with some of the negative comments and feedback because it makes her respond and people know it, naturally they will do it to get a rise out of her. I personally feel she’s on the defense all the time plus on some social media she fires back when someone pokes at her. Not so much lately because she’s been running well but I’m sure in this case it was no exception to feel this way based on past experiences
I'm not a driver, but I feel like a double bulb before pre-stage gives you the advantage? You get to control the staging process after that. I'm interested in your thoughts about it.
@@xPr1m3 In reality it gives no advantage other than psychological, because it's an unexpected move which sometimes throws the driver in the other lane off his or her routine. The 7-second clock before the tree times you out doesn't begin until BOTH drivers are prestaged and at least ONE is final staged. Glenn was a bit quicker at the tree during that race but Enders lost primarily because her car experienced tire shake at the hit, which of course had zero to do with Glenn double bulbing. Face it; Erica Enders has an arrogant side; always has. Not always a bad thing; you gotta be tough to survive in this ultra-competitive class. Perhaps it's served her well over the years but she's not someone that everybody would want to sit down to dinner with.
@@cll1639 I probably worded that wrong. If the other racer double bulbs before I pre-stage, then I control the tree. I can wait and prepare to pre-stage, and then final stage as normal. The only issue I can think of is in a Top Alcohol class, for the clutch cars that have to rev up before they final stage. Anything with a 2-step shouldn't be a problem.
@@xPr1m3 Right...racers control the tree until both prestage and then the 7-second timer takes control. And you're correct; any T/A car with a 2-step won't have a problem with the timer.
I mean NHRA racers gotta stop being so soft, if it is allowed then why do the racers always try to avoid doing it or apologizing if they do it by accident…..I guess Erica & many others would hate Tricky Rickie Smith because that’s how he got his nickname.
Im sure Ill get alot of thumb's down on this comment, but, I liked racing better when the men drove the cars and the girls backed the cars up wearing short shorts
0h well she’ll get over it, I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose. Seems like her and Matt Smith have slot in common, If she doesn’t win she’s gonna bitch about something. I’d really like to see her leave NHRA.

Is there a vid of Erica's side of the story? I don't think she feels she's entitled at all. I think she just wants respect and to not be treated as a joke like what I see from this guy.
On the contrary, if someone tries to mess with you on the starting line, that could mean they feel that they need an advantage because of how well you're doing.
You must not watch pro stock very closely. Dallas Glenn is an exceptional driver. He's won 4 races this year. He leads the points. He tattoos the Christmas tree. Don't get me wrong, Erica is a great driver too. But why is Dallas a joke?
@@xPr1m3 I can promise you that needing a starting line advantage is the last thing Dallas is worried about. They don’t call him Double O Dallas for nothing.

Double bulb 100 percent legal
It is. I feel like some of this has turned into unwritten rules of drag racing, like baseball.

I agree she’ll get over it or not. If she doesn’t win, count on her complaining.
Norwalk 2007. Erica double bulbed Greg Anderson. Greg got timed out, and she won.
Eh, I’ve had it flagrantly done to me before I was even pre-staged. Didn’t appreciate it, simply dealt with it and moved on.
