I like to macro dose once every 7-10 days. I suffer from major depression/anxiety/substance abuse. Having an almost routine ego death has done me wonders. Also puts a lot of things in perspective for me, and where to find joy in life. Helps silence the dread of failure and shows me to persevere. The following day or two I feel very accepting, and I have a lot of deeper thoughts and reflections.

The catholic church repressed mushroom knowledge, iconography, ritual, etc etc. for millennia. Thats how we became a fungi-phobic society to begin with. Its nothing new. The powers at be don't want people questioning the status quo, because it would then be harder for them to steal and murder with impunity. Fungus knowledge was so suppressed for so long that it wasnt until the 60's and 70's that people even began realizing these mushrooms grow in the united states. ABUNDANTLY.
Of course as soon as people begin rediscovering and exploring this ancient knowledge our toilet paper government had to outlaw it all. Anything to press their thumbs deeper into your fucking eyes...

Another alternative to poaching peyote which is totally wrong and unethical (please don’t poach peyote 😢) is to cultivate your own , seeds and plants that have been cultivated are fairly easy to purchase or trade for , most people who grow them don’t eat them because they grow so slow and are very beautiful and people get attached to them and have large collections but you can graft some peyote to San Pedro or other cactus and get a harvestable size cactus in 3-5 years instead of the 10-20 years , a lot of these plants come from Thailand , Canada , Japan , Europe but can be bought domestically in US as well , growing your own psychedelics is a good way to help with sustainability even with rare plants cultivating and propagating can help specially trading the plants or giving them away so more people grow and propagate them.

I did a lot psyllocybine when I was a lot younger, in those days we used to get them from cow farmers around 5 oclock in the morning and running away from the farmers with trash bag filled with them. During those days I only had 1 migraine in 4 years. 30 years later now I know why I never had migraines in those days.

I love psychedelics. I do. I just don't like how they make me want to be more loving towards ppl when this is kinda my problem to start with. I can't find anyone to properly show me love without cheating on me, or just taking advantage of me. I don't know what loyalty is anymore. I've been burnt so many times I have hard time keeping jobs. I'm so open and receptive when ppl talk positive towards me but after I think about it I get freaked out and it makes me completely back away from them and want to remove myself from them encountering them completely. The one thing the shrooms do help me with is being more confident in being solo. But I still have that longing for companionship. I thought it was miraculous at first but it was only temporary.

see my comment , to get the LSD to affect the Amygdala you only need a tiny dose like 5ug or just 2 mushrooms
If you feel such a low dose, then you have a swollen Amygdala which affects your everyday life
And you are actually in a permanent state of FEAR,

Something to ponder would be, in the same spirit of "who gets to determine who gets a license", Shelby mentions that her Libertarian position is that "everyone should be able to explore their own consciousness and do whatever else as long as they aren't hurting themselves or someone else."
¹ Who determines what "hurt" means?
² Who determines if you're "hurting someone else"?
³ Even more scary, Who decides how much you're allowed to "hurt yourself"?
Isn't that the fundamental philosophy that perpetuates the drug classification and scheduling protocols? That the average person is a "threat to themselves and others" if using, or even possessing, a scheduled substance?
The other operative principle, of course, being to make huge sums of money and seize massive amounts of assets and private property with incentivized impunity. That's the first tenant, for sure.
Seriously, it may be worth considering that more public regulation doesn't usually mean increased individual safety. It just means that more government entities are created to source their operational revenue by asserting sovereign judgment over people performing a task.
I get that most of us lean toward a conservatively progressive form of Anarchism. I'm not trying to be a comment section evangelist.
It's just that, after 13 years in the legal cannabis industry, my personal opinion is that we need to change the context, and choose more appropriate and literal vernacular, when discussing organic substances in their natural essence as "medicine".
It's Agriculture. _Nobody_ is growing Acetaminophen, Codeine, Alprazolam, or Oxycontin in their garden.
Certain plants, and even fungi, produce compounds that cause humans to produce endogenously similar chemicals, and sometimes those reactions are psychoactive.
When lemon scented furniture polish or lavender scented bubblebaths are respectively marketed to be "energizing" and "relaxing", the basis of those claims are the well documented historical uses of "limonine" and "linalool." Pharmaceutical grade medicines, in contrast, are usually odorless; but this is not because of a _war on terpenes_!
My point is that if you go long enough without proper nutrition, it takes a medically minded approach to proper nutrition in order to become healthy again.
But, that doesn't mean that if I've been without food for several days that a cheeseburger suddenly and simultaneously becomes Valium and Adderall.
Moreover, again, my point is really about the vernacular. The clickbait world is rewarding for it daily; but when we're discussing freedom, education, agriculture, healthcare and spirituality- the careless or frivolous usage of sensational words in order to emphasize a point of information is the _Literal Problem_ in our world today.
Here's an example, from my opening statement:
The difference between "freedom" and "liberty" is that the first is an inherently unrestricted ability to move and speak however you choose until you're stopped. The second is an allowance of one's own "free time" to spend ashore while ships are in port according to Maritime Law.
¹ Which would you rather have, Freedom or Liberty?
² Which one has been the spirit of prohibition all along?
Harriet Tubman was right, wasn't she?
_"... if only they knew they were slaves."_
    ✌️💚⚕️🧠🍄🍃💨

11:30 You arent allowed to smoke n drive tho lol, but relatively speaking yes. I tried playing starcraft2 while high from pot and lemme say its pretty difficult. It'd be equivalent of taking the widest turn possible in a car and not crashing, but still increases risk in situations that are not familiar. Safe recreational centers would be cool tho, like an experience center where you pay $200 to trip on 2 grams of shrooms, go to an arcade for free play, get some free assortments of food to try, different music zones, etc for hours. Make it a whole memory. That'd be a cool market.

I think the idea of a license to use psilocybin is stupid as hell! People have reproductive equipment attached to their body that they do not need a license to use. I mean, they create a whole new human being that they are responsible for and they don’t have to have any education or training or anything. I don’t like the idea of the government telling me what I can or cannot do with my own body at all. Period

Has anyone noticed the size of her pupils? Seems she is doing some research during the interview. I knew something was off. Lol. She is still great and so is the interview!

I theorize that psilocybin promotes neurogenesis and allows for establishing NEW pathways that can bypass the behavior pathways that are involved in negative habits.

Hasn't that been scientifically established already? That psilopsybin like LSD causes neurogenesis.

man I loved this interview. I've just been trying to learn how to grow shrooms today and came upon this and I'm so happy I did. Gets you thinking.

It’s been used for thousands of years but they have to keep it illegal and only then start testing trials just so they can make money. They should illegal at all it’s in its natural state that’s their business if they want to market it to those who want liability and scripts .

I don’t think podcast are doing anything to progress the legal side of mushrooms and we should do more to push towards a legalization movement!

We just need decentralization. I dont want to have to buy my mushrooms. Or have to worry about a limit. I grow, for fun and just for myself so I have a lot of stash.

If peyote was legal people could grow from seed and the need to poach wild wouldn't be so much of an issue.

It definitely just depends on the person and dose, many people do it all the time and are just fine, and although many die because of drunk drivers, even many of them make it home every week.

That is why I surrender my driver's license. I use Marijuana medically and I know that it slows down your reaction time SO why would I want to take any chances of harming another human being because I am on a medication that has side effects on your reaction time.

Just as an anecdote to back up what peer reviewed science has been finding, psilocybin mushrooms have the ability to greatly alleviate depression, but can also be misused by people looking for silver bullet cures and do more harm than good. Hopefully Psilocybin will eventually be administered in a clinical setting for persistent depression and ptsd.

    • @azurescenss
      @azurescenss 2 года назад

I don’t think we should say “mushrooms are only good for depression and ptsd” when the research shows otherwise. It helps with a ton of different issues ranging from childhood trauma to alcoholism. This is why regulating psilocybin as a medicine isn’t happening. People want specific cures and if you have ever done psilocybin you will know that sometimes the issues that it can fix are issues you didnt know existed
