The Waterslide at Shroud Cay, Exuma Bahamas

- An uninhabited island in the Exumas, Bahamas. Only accessible by boat. If you anchor on the lee side of Shroud Cay and then dinghy through the mangrove lined river to the ocean side. You will find the waterslide, named for it's tidal currents that provide a waterslide like ride through the cut. Video taken with a dji Phantom 4, with a 4k camera, only set to 1080p.

It's crazy, i had been there on Christmas Eve 1997 - the island looked completly different back in those days and we were the only ones on the island during our three night stay. I guess every bigger hurricane changes the face of the island again and again. Was nice to see this little island again after so many years, thanks.

The out islands are so different from Nassau or Grand Bahama, crime is almost non-existent. I grew up between the U.S. and Little Exuma. One correction, you brought your boat between two cays and so the body of water is not a river but a "cut".

Fantastic video! We are headed to Shroud Cay today and this aerial perspective is so helpful! It's so beautiful!!
We missed Shroud Cay when we were there, but we only had 4 days on the island. We're going back in June 2018 for a week, and this is a must-see!
We have no other charging system, I like to keep the boat clean of stuff such as solar and wind mills, we do some racing and like a clean deck. We have a 180 amp alternator with a serpintine belt. We have since installed a 3.5kw diesl generator.

I jet ski the hell outta of this islands, ones you seen one they are all the same, good water, good views, relaxing but depends what age you are you get tired of all this and need to move to more populated islands, i guess when im over 70 ill see it with other eyes, for now i need more than just lay around the sand and watch the hours go by
actually well said i am 50yrs old have all the toys still and as much as i want to think sitting there looking at some of the most beautiful water will satisfy iy does only a while then one gets hungry and so on and so on
im 53 and i can relax for about an hour, after that ineed my hair to be set on fire, not ready to do the beach bum full time just yet baaahahahaha

Some mega-yachters are better than others. Our friends tell us of being offered a bottle of expensive booze to move because they were wrecking their view of Conception Island.

Tim CanyonGear That was not a derogatory comment, if they we sailors I would have said they were other sailors. Just stating they were other people. Actually I don't have any problem with mega yachters, they have every right to enjoy it as anyone else.
