Forget Avenger! I DID LADAKH ON MY PULSAR 150!! I saw that the Enfield was really struggling in the ups and during water crossing where as my bike rally did amazing. Never stuck during water crossing or never did I face any issues!!

Actualy hum sab ke mind me ladakh ya uske jaise off roading places ke lie royal enfield hi mind set ho gya h bt wo zyadatr jagah me fas jata h bcz uski sabse badi disadvantage h uska weight..islie uski jagah jo halki bikes h wo easily sab tarike ke off roads streams sab par kr leti h..bt wohi RE apne weight ki wajah se fas jati h..islie soch badlo desh badlo..

Did you experience any discomfort in back, like back ache after a point? That is my only concern and confusion between going for a normal bike / sports vs cruiser bike.

I have done it already in 2014 on avenger 200.. Well Avenger does it effortlessly and its self start works brilliantly in first attempt be it Pang la or Khardung la or dras without pulling choke.

So A big thumbs up to bajaj...its awesome to see that RE riders felt good on bajaj bike... So if 220cc Avenger can do it then Dominar 400 can definately do it with ease
The bike can....Most of the times it's not the ride that is not up for the task, rather it is the rider who falls short.
Even I believe that Dominar will stand its ground as a beginner's sports-tourer.
However, I would lie to see how it stacks up in the build quality and panel gaps department, which has been Bajaj's Achilles' heel traditionally.
Waiting for a comprehensive review.
Another bike I would like to see develop more is the Hero Impulse. They should put in a stronger engine, luggage carriers, and beef up the chassis and suspension. Would be interesting to see what it would be capable of.

Hands down fan of Avenger 220 pick up. Man can't satisfy that thirst even driving Hundreds of Kms at crusing speed of Car. That Silencer Sound amazing (2015 Red Avenger ppl just keep looking even today at its shine & steel).
To complete the trip you need confidence & I know many they completed the trip on scooty. Use the bike with whom you are comfortable. There is no any best bike to complete trip only ur confidence .
Shahbazur Rahman well said but scooties and bikes like re 350 experience trouble on steep slopes and their brakes and body take a heavy beating compared to other bikes
True!! A guy in my locality completed ladakh trip on a tvs ntorq 125....its rider's confidence.....
Company should work on few things -
1. Width of pillion seat.
2. Horn sounds like a parrot (needs a sharp tone horn).
3. Front suspension is not much capable.
4. Handle height should be 1 inches more so that everyone can customize it according to their sitting posture.
5. Front tire size can be increased by 5 to 10mm.
6. LED headlamp can be provided in place of halogen (although the light of the headlight is best in class)

What was the top speed of Avenger 220 and 160 on high altitudes?
I also want to go on long trips...I also own a Bajaj Avenger Street 150..but I don't know how would I find a group of guys with the same mission? since I don't have anyone in my friend list who is interested to go to Leh Ladakh..
Sir give me your sincere opinion on how good is an Avenger 220 for a 67 years old rider who wants to do it from Kanyakumari to Ladakh solo.
Need suggestions on fog lamps. Almost everyone would fix them on the engine guard. I want the fog lamps to move along with the turning of the handle. Is it feasible to fix the lamps on the rods above the indicators?

it always depends on the rider, people have been there on their scooters so why not street 150?
Avenger not comfortable for tall riders, causes lower back pain. Split seats would have been a boon on the Avenger. Also on a 4 or 6 lane highway the Avenger 220 lacks punch in maintaining anything 100+ kmph. I see the short gearing of the Avenger 220 the biggest issue, slightly taller gearing would help maintain a relaxed triple digit highway pace.

Best n my favorite bike,, only one minus point with this bike when mountain drive its long wheel base it create effect on ground clearence.. although its a point for comfort balance

Also, please don't compare Avenger with Royal Enfield becoz both has different price tag, different engine, different maintenance etc. So Avenger with 100k budget is one of best bike one can count on.

I would suggest you to go for Street 220 rather than 150 as there is a mere difference of 15,000 rs between both and obviously 220 has more to offer.

Dear all the viewers -
1. Bajaj avenger seats are extremely uncomfortable, I used extra cushioning after manali.
2. And the tyres they providing is extremely slippy.
My first leg tour was on avenger, but due lots cons I only use thunder bird for long distance trip.
one thing I hate about bikes is that it makes my shoes dirty.
