- Avenger 220 has been the only true blue Cruiser in the Indian segment it offers comfortable riding position which is designed for long distance touring and is priced very well.
Avenger 220 bs6 has no real competition because the rider dynamics and the overall design of the motorcycle is very different from what we have seen in the Indian market.
Avenger 220 can be heavily modified in the aftermarket, so if you're looking for accessories or any other custom design changes you can do it easily as The Avenger 220 has been in the market for ages and every day there are new accessories that are available for the bike.
Bajaj has launched the avenger series with two different variants Avenger 220 cruise and Avenger 220 Street both the bike sport the same engine but design changes and also change in the rider dynamics.
Both Avenger models for the year 2021 in bs6 Avatars has undergone lot of changes and sports a fully digital instrument cluster and few other changes which make it look a little more modern than before.
The top speed on The Avenger 220 has also been very good and you can Cruise all day in triple digit speeds without any issues.
The other great point on Avenger 220 is the average of the bike, the mileage on the bike is constantly more than 35 to 40 kilometre per litre. the bike is very fuel efficient and very easy to maintain.
The biggest drawback and the problem of Avenger 220 is the single channel abs which causes a lot of problems to get the bike to stop at the right time.

I own Avenger 220 street for last 6.5 years, completed 50K. I usually go for long trips every 6 months. My longest continuous ride was of 36 hours from Agra to Hyderabad (1.3k kms), Super smooth after such a ride.

Finally a Perfect review, I have been riding the Eliminator 180, Avenger 200 and will be upgrading to 220 Cruise.
Some more positives is cross wind driving stability is good, mild off reading is good, but 2 up, the back bottoms out.
Cons very well documented. I have driven the other 2 without ABS, but with engine braking and careful riding one can manage

My workplace is around 50 kms away. So I cover almost 100 kms everyday. Will its engine will be able to bear 100kms everyday even if I don't go beyond 70 km/hr?

Very.nice review. I have purchased one on 31 Jan 2022 after lot of research. This is my 5th bike. I m 67yr young. I too feel rear disc breaks and ABS would have given me more confidence. B S 6 Bike is far better than earlier versions

@@akshayarya880 It is so simple dear. I suggest you if you have enough time and budget of 2.3 -2.50 then only go for meteor because after purchase you have to invest in accessories too. Rest of all 1000 rs petrol when you'll take your bike.😅 Otherwise avenger is not that bad infact it is a proper cruiser.

Hi, need your help to resolve this issue I am facing with my Avenger 220 cruise 2014 model. I am unable to shift my gear to neutral while halt at signal or any place. Because of this, I have to keep the clutch pressed on 1 st gear until the signal turns green. If I don't do this, then I have to stop my bike on 1st gear and then bring it to neutral and then start. This is very frustrating. I even replaced the clutch plate as advised my my mechanic but the issue still persists. Please someone advice.

I own Avenger 200 for last 15 years. Awesome bike with the best looks. For engine smoothness do your bike a favour and use Motul oil after first 10000 KM, it will fly!

I wish Bajaj would put the N250 engine in this, with a bit bigger light. Also increase the rear tyre size to 140/70/16 and the front tyre size to 100//70/17, with dual channel ABS.
Also a sharper rake angle reducing the wheelbase by 50mm and a higher ground clearance by 50mm.
Also a monoshock rear suspension, if possible.

Bhai mera ek avenger cruise bike hai 2017 model ka. Toh problem ye aa raha hai ki ye thik tarah se pick up nahi leta. Kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hain jaise ki petrol kam ho raha hain. Maine clutch disc change kara, bike ka CDI change kara phir bhi ye pick up mein problem aa raha hain. Any solutions bhai please share.

@@shawnawasthi i am 6'2" i am owning avenger cruise from 2016. Run over 50000kms did not find any discomfort except if I ride at a stretch for more than 1.5 hours i feel pressure and pain in my coccyx bone and i know that i am tall more than enough to be seated in this lowseater.

Avenger 220 is best bike
What you told about breaks are correct. I own avenger cruise since 2019. Bike cruises well but brakes dont give confidence. Many a times engine braking has saved me. Even front disc is not good as in pulsar.
Another major issue is back seat. It is so thin that one cannot sit for more than 30 minutes😅

Definately, i am 5'9, just three inches small from u and my dad has older model of avenger and i will buy this particular new model crusie 220, worth the money, better than every other bike in this segment and can go anywhere offroad on road city ladakh wherever u want to go u can go easily and comfertably in style

I have 2018 avenger 220 cruise…its engine vibration is out of the showroom has never been resolved and it vibrates too much..!
Its only driven 1774 kms as i am an NRI so i barely come to india and ride..!
I have also complained that any gear doesn’t have that sweet spot to cruise…it always feel like either i need to shift gear down or up to make a smooth ride but it never gave that sweetness..!

It was my dream bike, purchased it last year and now regretting like anything.
This bike has a lot of issues like gear skips, terrible to handle in the city specially with pillion. I am 5.9" but experience back and thigh pain if I ride it for more than an hour.

*The only proper aggressive cruiser motorcycle at this price
*Looks and feels like Harley Davidson
*Good amount of torque and power
*Good mileage (if you ride smoothly)
*Less service cost
*Less maintenance cost
*Good for short height people (they can handle and control it easily)
*Good headlight
*Accessories are cheap and very easily available
*Suspension are soft and comfortable (you will not feel jerk on speed breaker or on off-road)
*Looks good because of retro design
*Comfortable seat and riding position
*Side mirrors looks good and they also provide you with a wider field of view while riding
Disadvantages:-
*Gear quality and design is poor
*Fuel indicator isn't accurate
*Single channel abs
*Windshield isn't tall enough to protect you from wind if your height is 5.8 feet or above
*Difficult to control at low speed on cities or traffic especially while taking U turn
*Build only to ride on highway not on city
*No tubeless tyres
Pillion seat is hell sitting on. Rest everything is good.
