Came for the race but the advice about break in period was like gold to me! I just bought Street 220 yesterday and was heart broken when the dealer told me not to go above 45 for next 1000 kms 😭 now I can breathe much better and will just be careful for 1st 200 kms and then adapt to my natural riding pace. Thanks a lot bro 🤘
Maybe 1000 kms is too much. You can certainly go up to 60, which you can go in high gear. Just don't rev near red line, engine might give trouble in future if you are planning to drive it for longer period. Engine break in is not bullshit.

Had a Bajaj Avenger 220 cruise (old model) 7 years and still running great though was thinking to upgrade to 220 abs one, feel its better than RE classic, thunder bird etc and even pocket friendly interns of initial cost, maintenance and mileage which usually matters alot after 2 years of ownership.

2 days ago we also had a race between Avenger and Bullet on Yamuna expressway and there also Avenger won. We were driving both bikes with pillion and my avenger went upto 115 km/h and My friends bullet till 105-110 approx. But when my friend drove my Avenger he agreed the ride quality and comfort of Avenger on another level.

Makers suggest to run in lower speed for at least 500km , because there can be a material failure in newer build vehicle, it can be a brake wire or even a clutch wire or a bolt which was even not tighten properly, so it is recommended,,,,,

Are bhai...u r comparing two bikes from different segment. Bullet is for comfort not for racing. Y cannot expect avenger to giv this comfort. I am riding bullet for last 25 years and its best for cruising. Let me share my experience. I have completed all India on my old bullet. Never disappointed.

@@rishu6870 I agree....they r in same segment but bullet is a quite old model. The engine has changed but the model and the push rod technology is still there. This is because when U need a strong bike and with a good thump. That takes away speed to a good extent. Bullet riders never bought it for speed. It was always for feel. I used to ride my Royal bullet 62 model at a speed of 20 just to enjoy the thump. But now the audiance is different and they need speed. Therefore I appreciate the effort put by Enfield to raise up bullet 350 speed so that it crosses 100 kmph. I think that is the best balance. And I can guarantee that the engine life of bullet is the best compared to any other bikes in india.

Avenger carburetor engine was way too fast compared to the new BS6's FI version. But smoothness is unmatched since its speed and pickup are a little compromised and also the windshield is performing better on a new one with design and extra steel clamps. However, I would suggest you also match the weights of the rider to do a race comparison of vehicles since it has a substantial impact on the performance of the vehicle.

Break-in is important as the bedding in of piston and seal of piston ring to the wall is crucial.....you break in with redlining bike as well(as done with moto gp bikes) but if you want to ensure durability take it slow..... Rayan from FortNine© channel explain it scientifically.

Avenger got Pulser 220 engine. Once the fastest Indian.
It just the technology. Avenger's engine is tuned down it doesn not have that power and torque like pulsar. So it doesn't matter what engine it got
