I love how each episode ends with you encouraging and praising the athlete. Your videos are not only really interesting, but it’s also great to see you show this kind of compassion.
This seems to be the trend for the ENTIRE sport and its one of the reasons I happened to stumble upon it a few years ago on youtube quickly became a fan. The entire sport just seems to be filled with people like the narrator of this channel.
@@v8Buster87 yeah, I'm finding now that most of the content, even when not necessarily angled to be educational, has some skill or knowledge to be gained from watching. I'm absolutely addicted to magnus midtbo's videos right now (started climbing about a month ago)

I've never had an interest in climbing but recently I think these have been recommended to me through watching Olympics-related videos- but wow! I live these videos!
Great analysis and editing. 🤘Had not seen those comps, nor was I aware she had neck surgery (2016). She is now an iconic “recovery athlete”. Curious to see if she will be competing this year internationally and in USA Climbing ABS.
I am starting to enjoy climbers and listening to the struggles, even though I couldnt relate physically but we face problems in real life too similar to th bouldering
Hahaha yes we know, she's saying that Alex is doing something wrong just a second before she gets her mouth shut, and then... "she's gonna have to commit to the double dyno"... WRONG AGAIN. That is some "inside the box" thinking right there.
@@santiagodsl but predicting how someone will climb is pretty hard - if you have a different hight, strength and mobility you cant always be right. Just saying.

Right? Like it just seems like there is nothing to climb step or grab on... like maybe theres a lil bump in a wall and somehow they can climb just with that
Climbing gyms are VERY approachable. They are easy to just walk in and try. Everyone there will know you are new and either give you space, or give you help. Seriously the most chill atmosphere you'll find. My GF is afraid of heights and she is addicted to bouldering now.
Ive never seen a woman do a 1 arm pull up nor a slow muscle up, that was amazing. Her beta is creative too which i love. Are other female climbers also that strong?
Hi I just found this channel and I am rivited. Does anyone have any good sources for getting info on these sports (boldering, lead, speed, ice, etc) and where could I watch/stream the compititions? I'm super curious and invested now and I want to learn.
Beta is climbing jargon that designates information about a climb (such as, "get your feet up").[1][2] The complexity of beta can range from a small hint about a difficult section to a step-by-step instruction of the entire climb.[1][3] In rock climbing this may include information about a climb's difficulty, crux, style, length, quality of rock, ease to protect, required equipment, and specific information about hand or foot holds. For mountaineering, beta may include information about the length and difficulty of the approach, availability of water on the climb and the approach, ease of exiting the route before completing it, descent information, perhaps even useful logistic information for climbs in foreign countries.[citation needed] Sometimes beta is also drawn, in the form of a beta-map.[4][5] It is common for climbers to have different beta for the same climb. In other words, more than one possible solution that can get the climber to the top. These can vary in terms of difficulty. It is not uncommon for climbs to get downgraded in their difficulty rating once easier beta is discovered.[6]

I totally agree. By ending each episode with this type of conclusion and reflection take this series to a 10/10.
:)
I think most reaction videos are terrible, but I would love to see one of the Beta Break climbers watching a video about them.

Heck yes! If possible you should definitely go try out climbing once it's safe in your area to do so! Then one day we'll climb together!
I was there for that! The crowd was seriously psyched for everything Alex was doing because it was so cool to watch
