  • do you think the playerbase numbers going down have a big role in the game feeling more sweaty or more competitive on average? I think the average gamer is better than ever before and also more people play with friends and sweatier players or friend groups tend to compete amongst themselves in terms of performance and tend to play together making it rough especially for solo players (you can still get easy lobbies sometimes it just feels more few and far between than when the game launched...) I think most of the people left are more diehard fans of the game and occasionally you will see a newer player

Honestly man, this is the realest, most down to earth take I've heard on this game yet. Especially the idea of just playing till you start to get mad, and just stopping. I've had that problem where I just keep getting pub stomped by sweats, and just want to win ONE game. Big mistake. Then I lose my shit after a 5-8 game losing streak, put myself in a bad mood, and feel embarrassed that I let the game get to me that much.

There is a certain irony about saying their are only sweats left while the background game play has you running around in Echelon with an MP7 slide cancelling everywhere. You've got several variables you're not considering here. Everyone was new at launch so casual players will always do worse than player who can across from other games with similar mechanics like COD. You've got a lot unlocking weapons and learning maps so initially at least there is a skill gap but several weeks in that has now been closed. I'm about as casual as they get and I've been going against players who ran several betas I didn't as it wasn't available on the last gen console. I upgraded for this game so I came into it fresh not know shit about it. I actually took the time to unlock all the weapons and do the challenges. When compare to those that knew the maps going in and only unlocked the meta they've had an advantage for weeks. That isn't the case now though because I'm not hopping corners with no attachment crap anymore so you might lose to me where it was a win at one point.
I think what will sink this game is the netcoding issues. Doesn't matter you're skill level feeling a gunfight is out of your control is a problem. Fight it often enough you will walk away from the game. I'm really enjoying it but they need to get a handle on it.

    • @dartlinfps
      @dartlinfps  27 дней назад +5

I have to play good in the gameplay or my words hold no meaning to these teenagers... the netcode REALLY hurt the playerbase and alot of casuals even left bc of that despite most casuals on cod not noticing desync etc (it was just way more extreme over here I think)

@@antheman5156 I've heard the saying but how does it apply here? Look at the background footage and fast forward to the scoreboard at 6:47. They are destroying the enemy team, 4 of which are single digit scores without any hill time. Then I look at him running a broken meta playing for kills with minimal OBJ time complaining about how the game is nothing but sweats. I'd counter that with no just look at the game play you used while point out he might be part of the issue being meta reliant.

    • @KlngVJames
      @KlngVJames 25 дней назад

@@onlyonemag7606yea but hes a decent player but hes not a great player, nor is he a beast. I do agree with you that he is someone who needs to be on the hill more if he wants to better his playstyle and increase his W/L ratio. Your talking about someone who didnt even strafe not one time in the video. Which is why is whole team is stacked cause the SBMM knows he is decent and that how they pair people up. They knew the qX prince guy top fragging on the other team is the best player in the lobby which is why he has no help. No disrespect to him but you get the point.
Yes he is using the mp7 and it is meta but this game is so balanced that in pubs you can run anything and demolish people. Its about the user and not just the guns by themselves.
As i said in my comment, people really worry about the wrong things and devs will listen to wrong people just to make all their games worse overall.

That's just how gaming is nowadays, there's casuals yes but a lot of gamers in this day and age are either people sweating TTVs with soulless expressions on their faces or just people taking pubs too seriously. Not hating on them trying to win but it just seems like everyone wants to be a pub stomper or streamer now unlike in the early 2000's where that archetype of player was rare to come by. Regardless of SBMM being in the game or not, it'll still be sweaty because of the genre and audience the game advertises to. Which is the Call of Duty fanbase and arena shooter fans from all over, like- not trying to call people out or anything but a lot of people who complain about people sweating are the same individuals who use intel suit, ACRs, and Mp7s. I've seen multiple times in lobbies where I'm just chilling with my brain off sniping and some echelon using something tame like a mp5 switches to an mp7 or ACR out of retaliation. Going back to the first point, just how pvp gaming is nowadays. The lobby balancing is all about skill rating anyway, so if your rating is above 3k then fully expect to carry noobs and go against sweats. Although, what keeps me playing the game is the variety of lobbies I get. The only ones I back out on is Echelon HQ because that map sucks imo.

The "problem" is that people want to relax in a PvP game. Take Tekken for example: 1v1, me and you, better player wins. The same can be applied to FPS games: Team vs Team, better team wins. People seems to never think about that and PRETEND to join a PvP game and relax. Players want to win, and will do everything in order to do so. The argument "back in the day" doesn't make sense because i can assure you on Unreal Tournament there were no free wins (and it had no sbmm because of the server system), and i remember CoD was sweaty even back than but probably most people didn't care much to speak about it.

I dont know if they lost like 80% of playerbase instantly or if its something else, tied to frozen stats and team balancing for example. Seasons usualy bring people back, not lose them. But this one is the most broken one Ive ever seen in videogames. 0 problems in preseason and now game is crashing(even after patch and DX12 off), CPU overheating if DX12 is turned on (ryzen 7800x3d 81temps is crazy), abilities bugging (sometimes its not used, sometimes it greys out), spiderbot is even more annoying, my netcode/hitreg is worse than ever before - and I never had noticable issues except few deaths behind corner, profile stats are frozen in time from patch day and I am suspicious that it influences team balancing because it got worse too. Im casual PS5 EU player, typically 2 hours most evenings, going ofr camos (slowly). Playing only console.
I agree stacks is a problem (it should me clearly marked in lobby if stacks are playing). When team balancing you will end up with the short stick if you are above average. Pair that with sometimes sub par hit detect and it can be frustrating.
Thats why I play manly TDM. Stacks are fewer and I can “mind my own business”, holding my own.
Honestly I like the game overall, its fresh air after 5 years of absurd COD sbmm, and it will be better overtime.

I’ve been around fps games since bo1 and to be honest you just have to adapt and play for fun but play to get better at the same time in order to keep up with the “new causal level” because to be honest casual players eventually will get better and better and you have to evolve with them or you’re going to be below average

Before I was able to kill a lot and do not get kill too much, now it's rare the match where I make more than 50kills without die 20 or 30 times. Not to mention when you are playing solo, and in thw other team they are playing in party, them you know that you have two choices, or leave, or get smashed by them. I also encounter lot of cheaters, yesterday I found one named Killy1x this dude was killing everybody with mp7 and any distance, it was in Occupy and the map Pueblito, at the end he finished the game with 105-20...very normal. I went to check out his stats and he has the (very normal) average of 50 kills/match.

it's all on the developers honestly, they feel ok with many things solely because they will have solid base of players for the next 2/3 years.
this game is sweaty because it gives NOTHING to do but to sweat. we all want prisma camos because is the only shit you can do basically so you gotta stick to kills.
many many games start solving this by the minute but since it's ubisoft and they feel alright by having a second tier competitive mp like r6/for honor they don't do nothing.
shit even splitgate had unlockables with weekly challenges and party modes, this stale will not kill the game but def will not compete in numbers with cod on december.
there's always a solution to everything, like even fortnite solved the sweat thing by adding zero build. granted, it came years into the game but also the problem became a problem years later.
rotational weapons and map, missions, unlockables, new gamemodes every month (like the finals do, even tho it's death it's not because of content) etc, and people will not reach the skill plateau so soon.
but nah, they just gonna give the bare minimum even tho they have all year one content basically done.
"BUT THE GAME IS NEW THE ENGINE IS NOT READY YOU GOTTA RIDE MARKS RUBINS DICK BRO TRUST ME"
ARE WE REALLY GONNA HAVE PATIENCE WITH FUCKING UBISOFT AND A CODLIKE GAME? THEY HAVE THE CASH AND THE NUMBERS TO KNOW THEY CAN THROW AWAY CASH WITH THE PROJECT, GET 100+ WORKERS THERE BY THE MINUTE AND DO GOOD SHIT.
like come on they could just hire a 3rd party studio to solve netcoding but nah they have time lets just give nothing to our playerbase.

It’s crazy how different peoples perspectives are. In my 100+ hours on the game. I’ve had maybe a handful of matches where there was any difficulty. Even now the game is as easy as ever. The only difference I’ve noticed is that people are starting to catch on with the movement. I tend to understand I’m an anomaly (9.1kd, 90% win rate. But I don’t get where this consensus comes from that the game has lost so many players. The game still averages between 5-700k daily players. The game is still top 10 on the charts. People are just learning and adapting if anything. But people arent leaving as much as y’all think they are.

I just notice a ton of players "holding hands" some would call it playing together but if im solo and my team is not coordinated it feels like I'm 1v3 multiple gunfights and then when I go to flank one of the 3 players usually hears me and somehow all 3 guns are directed on me once again almost as if they made a callout or have a ping system i dont have in game lol
I like the randomness but as a players who is only EVER solo, I don't want to go against 4 ppl with ttv in their name similar levels playing coordinated af while my team is drooling (not sure if you are on controller or kbam, but I see more ttv when I play kbam than controller) I want a merc moshpit or a free for all mode where I can feel like I'm not getting "jumped" by 4 kids in a discord call

@@dartlinfps yeah I get that. I’m a solo player as well so I knew from the start that stacks would be something I have to deal with. Luckily most stacks are only above average players with around 2kds. So they’re generally not too hard to farm the entire game. The dev team is working on a ping system so that should make things better for solos. Not sure if I agree with a mercenary playlist. Ive seen it do more harm than good (apex, destiny, splitgate etc). Yeah the mnk group will always be the minority in shooter titles. The majority of the playerbase exists on console anyways. Combine that with input based matchmaking like you said and queue times are definitely hurt. I say fk it and force everyone into lobbies with each other regardless of input or platform. Im not talking about you exactly, this is a common theme that happens in every FPS game.
When you read gaming forums, you’ll see the general population complain about things that are very subjective, rather than it being an actual issue that needs to be addressed.
It shows theyre out of touch with the raw reality of the state of the game they play everyday and their voices are always heard.
People dont see the beauty in things and they complain about it just to make it worse for the whole ecosystem in general.
    It has yet to fail!
Also, the guy who beamed you with the vector was probably strafing cause it minimizes recoil in every game.
( i don’t even have to move my right thumb unless theyre close)

that's probably true, when I play on controller I notice my shots losing accuracy when I'm not moving, left stick aiming is the biggest thing ppl don't take into account... the amount of ppl I see complaining about jumping and wanting JUMPING completely removed from the game is silly

Yeah it's really bad now. The sweats know just where to hide now to avoid being hit. Also casuals will only stay if they feel good about the game. Getting shot around corners and hit reg being an issue will drive away all casuals.

I like seeing the opinions of a casual player bc I am not a casual and I’m not sure how they think, I’m one of the guys always pub stomping before I play ranked or to level up my guns so for me it feels like there’s ONLY casuals playing this game bc I’m always slamming, usually there is one or 2 really good kids in the lobby besides me at least every other game and the impact they have is so big that that’s probably why it feels like it’s ALL sweats, bc there’s is always at least A sweat in every game, also I’ll say ranked is absolutely unplayable rn so if you are a casual I would just completely stay away, not to be rude or sound cocky but I get slammed an half the time and I’m the guy in the pub games dropping 80s every game so ranked right now is just a hacker and sweat absolute shit show, might get better soon we will just have to see

The fact that there is no sbmm is one of the main reasons this game has a player base at all, you have to think, if people are playing bc there is no sbmm what kind of player are they? Sbmm helps bad players and hurts good players at least at a first glance that’s not my personal opinion but anyway the type of player excited by that is sweats bc now they can slam pub lobbies like they used to so that’s the type of player this game attracts

I think with the hitreg higher damage per bullet guns dominate esp 1 shot weapons, marksman rifles and the m16 are insanely strong and so is the ak because if there is packet burst mid gunfight, sometimes you get super bullets which basically does the damage that was supposed to be dealt over time all at once (if you ever felt like you got sniped by an ak this is why, it can feel that way even without headshots)

it's honestly annoying and it will kill the game if not remedied, you got ppl saying "skill issue" here and there the problem is even if they're as good as they think they r eventually they'll have nobody to play against, I just saw a video of a ranked game amongst the "best players" and dude was using an exploit for infinite nades at the start of a round, what a joke, I wouldn't put it past that same person cheating and even consider doing an exploit like that to be cheating tbh...

Don’t think the game is done for quite yet, I’d give them a chance to make some fixes and most importantly get the net code to a good state.
Having said that, totally agree that it’s been rough particularly since season 1 launch. I’ve stopped playing and will come back to it in a couple months, when hopefully things will get sorted out, cause between the dying behind walls, spider bots, sniper rifles randomly shooting with a delay after I pull the trigger, pumping full mags into certain players and them not dying, as well as many other little issues. It’s just more frustrating than fun to play at the moment.

This game was horrible at season 0, servers issues, cringe movement, annoying exploits, horrid graphics...etc. I think that has made a huge percentage of the casuals leave, including myself. If the devs gave us a good game, not a game that's broken in literally every aspect, then it would have been so much different I think. Also, sweats and streamer have ruined pvp gaming in general. Streamers are nothing but sweats who have nothing to do except to play the game for 8 hours, and kids who watch them want to be like them, because the media and industry made these streamers, who are really no lifers, super stars.

    • @OzkanArac

Activision is doing this same thing for 2 decades now. They know what the community wants and it is simply not what the vocal minority cries about.
They're making billions every year and unless Ubisoft somehow got turned off by money, they'll follow suit. Ubisoft, if XDefiant gets big enough, would learn the same things Activision already learnt and will do the same things to maximize the money coming in.
No SBMM is a nice hook, for veteran players. But it does nothing but chase away the casual. I think Ubisoft would do all the same things once they learn where the money is.

Tbh I think they lied about the Sbmm until rank 25. I think it was EOMM. I clearly remember multiple times playing in the welcome playlist just to get a feel and custom to the controls. I realized pretty quickly that the way they play is exactly like cod people always in ur routes the uncanny feeling of the games playing itself almost. On top of that they also got a lot of data that apparently stated a lot of people used the “”sbmm”” playlist. Like ofc,the game just released people are trying to learn ect. I ended up not playing after I played the beta for a while when I heard s1 dropped I played again and could clearly tell a big difference before and after the s1 update.

My thing is, I’ve been getting watched with players I played against 2-3 days prior lately, it’s weird. I did play a game 2 days ago where the whole other team went double positive. Other than that it’s been smooth sailing, maybe they can balance teams out better.
