Irwin's Paydirt from Nuggets by Grant (*Review*)

  • One pound of gold bearing dirt in Irwin's Paydirt. This is a video of Irwin's Paydirt Novice bag. Sold on Nuggets by Grant's website. In this video I use a simple gold pan to pan out the gold from this bag of paydirt so everyone can judge for themselves if it is worth buying a bag. Gold panning at home might not be as fun as gold panning in the field, but during the winter there might not be much choice.

    I'm glad all the youtube prospectors all know each other and help promote each others channels. Been watching you guys for quite some time now and always look forward to the new content. One day I will visit Canada again and I''d love to meet you and pauly.
    (life goals) You both, along with klesh sparked my love of panning for gold and prospecting and helped me through a pretty rough patch in life. But, after 2 spinal surgeries I'm happy to say I am fully capable now of keeping my hobby alive and the amount of information I've learned for you all has helped a ton. Look forward to all your up coming videos!

    Try holding a strong magnet right on top of about 2 inches of water/material but, do not touch the magnet to the bottom of the pan. The magnetic sands will rise through the water, the heavy gold stays. I recover the smallest of flower gold that way and it is so much easier. I am in WA state so very similar to you in Canada. Lots of black sands and flat gold lol. I also pan with a strip of metal on the bottom of the pan and a strong magnet in a housing ( joint container lol ) in the pan towards the center/forward of the riffles ( where you want the gold to go ). The magnets pull the black sand to the bottom and the gold follows quickly. It is all locked with magnetic force until you remove the magnet, wipe off the magnetic sand into the pan, and either clean it or pan it as is. Works awesome and way faster clean up.

    I'm very new to panning - i did it once many years ago with someone else's equipment and am trying to get into it more seriously. I have a couple of questions.
    1) is there a particular paydirt that you'd recommend for a novice who is trying to get basic techniques down in a tub before going out into the wild? I'd ideally like something affordable that simulates more realistic conditions than this (for instance, more black sand than this one).
    2) I've seen a few panners talk about using dish soap to keep the gold from floating, but where I'll be doing a lot of my panning is probably going to be public lands and I want to make sure I'm not hurting the environment. Is the dish soap totally necessary when out in the wild? If so, are there environmentally friendly brands you'd recommend? Thanks 😊

  • @coreymerrill3257
    @coreymerrill3257 4 года назад

    I have tried what my minimal budget can afford me, i have watched a head spinning amount of differant paydirt reviews from differant people including yourself , Klesh guitars ,miller prospecting and golden paydirt reviews. If he ships to Canada, goldbay is hands down the best ROI. Its $46.95 U.S. and he gives a 1 gram gold guarantee for that price.

    • @coreymerrill3257
      @coreymerrill3257 4 года назад

      @CasCade 509 my goldbay pannings acid tested at 22KT , it maybe that was just those particular random chunks.or bad acid in the test kit. I have a 1 gram nugget from them too and that was tested at 24k . once again it could be random or wrong.

    • @coreymerrill3257
      @coreymerrill3257 4 года назад

      @CasCade 509 for me it was the "colorado mine red clay" stuff i had tested. Which was mostly crystaline gold. Dental gold is gold and silver right ? If they use electrolocis to purify the gold, that could be the source of the crystalized silver they had for sale . Personally , I don't mind as long as it is actually gold . I imagine they could set up a small man made "river " in a big fishtank , get a whicked current flowing and drop molten beads of gold into that to make a natural look...just speculating of course.

    i just bought some gold from nuggetsbygrant on ebay and wanted to know if the gold he sold was 100% real? is it worth buying a gold test kit or should i not have to worry about that with nuggetsbygrant?
