- I was inspired by @lupitaa71 on Instagram to add a wallet to my mini Happy planner! I grabbed the wallet from Target. I love how this turned out!

I feel you on this!! I'm now using the mini and find that I use it daily--as in I update and reference it so frequently throughout the day because it's so much lighter to carry around! My next move is to find a mini binder cover that I absolutely love beyond just what HP offers. 🙂

I loved this video so much I search the internet and finally found one of these little wallet things. The tabs do not stay glued on even after I used glue to reinforce. And it's about a half an inch too short to comfortably be able to put dollar bills in. From the time I opened the package to the time I threw it in the trash was about an hour
When you use bigger disks in a deluxe cover be careful with the spine. The bigger disks can cause it to lose shape and mold to the curve of the disks.
Thanks for sharing! I have been trying to figure out how to make my mini planner a wallet all month. I’ve bought and returned several items as I tried to figure out how I can carry my cards too. I use my mini for budgeting, shopping lists, cash envelops, and to store coupon/receipts. I have been racking my brain all month on how to not have to carry this and my wallet. This is going to be a game changer! Thanks to lupitaa71 for the idea and to you for sharing it!
Sara Bennett I tried several ways too but finally ended up getting card holders on Amazon for a5 style planners. They're just clear sleeves that cards perfectly, I used the same tabs as her to attach them inside my planner, it works really well and isn't as bulky. I love this idea bc it's pretty lol with just the card holders I didn't have a spot for cash and change. I was just sticking it in the front pocket of the deluxe cover and never had coins. I love giving exact change when I can so I hated being wasteful or just throwing change in my purse.
Everything you do with this planner. I do it with just my phone. Eliminating all the bulk entirely 😉👍🏻

Keep the rings and calendar passes if possible and print out the happya planner inserts or buy them online. And punch holes across top. It can be done with regular hole punch. Sea lemon on RUclips had a video on how to do it if your a visual learner

Do you have a SKU for the Snap In Tabs? Or know where I can find those? (I’m in Canada… so…) Those are SO functional! This is the first time I’ve seen those!!
I’ve been looking for ways to do this! Idea: you can reinforce tho glue with adhesive vinyl over the whole back of the wallet (and punched holes). Or E6000 is way stronger than hot glue.

Sabah Hussain I used hot glue at 1st and it came right off the next day. E6000 worked perfectly!! I have since upgraded to a zoo around Kate spade planner. I removed the rings and put the mini happy planner inside.

Sabah Hussain lol typo yes zip around. Sorry about that. I currently have my mini happy planner in the laurel way planner but it also fits nicely in the grove street and the Wellesley.

This is a great idea. I could use this to put my gift cards and rewards cards from Michaels etc

Was it difficult to keep the deluxe cover closed once you filled the wallet with cards/cash/etc.?
nope not at all. I have cash envelopes and other inserts I ordered, in the back so I only have 2 mos in the planner at a time. But it totally works and looks really nice

I was wondering how the classic discs work with the deluxe cover on the mini?
mwoehlcke they actually function very well.
I have a deluxe cover for my mini planner with the same size rings and it closes perfectly with them in.
It also just makes the pages glide better when they are on larger rings.
Has anyone found a wallet like that in the UK or on eBay?
Did you find that the adhesive things you used for the wallet held?
