Thanks Clint !!! I have the 5 and 3/8 and absolutely love it! Morgan's maintenence had a video a few months back and the orange box had it for 99.00!!!!!
Just got it 10 days ago from HOME DEPOT with the Free 8 AMP RED LITHIUM Battery and Returned the Battery Now the SAW is only $130 and with the 6 and 12 amp FORGE BATTERIES it's REAL NICE LIKE
I just got the m12 a few weeks ago. good in a pinch for bigger stuff just like you said. BUT... I chucked a steel demon blade on there and it rips through super/unistrut, metal conduit pipe, 1/8-1/4 steel bar, worked awesome for that project! Also agree with the high output 5.0 a few cuts drains the 4.0 regular battery quickly. 5.0 has much more capacity for the m12.
Both great options (as well as the new 6-1/2" FUEL) amazing the Power of that M12, pretty sure it's got more juice today than the original M18 circular saws.
Go Clint! Love my M12 Blade Left, 2.5ah Battery. New Diablo Blade cuts PT Deck Boards like Butter Too bad it didn't have belt hook like the M18 6-1/2 😪
I just picked up the 12v drill driver set and was blown away, these new 12v tools are CRACKED for their size and weight. Definitely have to scope the 12v circ saw out.
Always look forward to your videos! Love the fact that you always add humor to your content unlike the vegan cookie guy!! Thanks for the work you put into all the episodes!! Well done as always..... Lifetime subscriber!
with a name like Clint how could I not like this Channel!!!! Been watching for a few years. Love the Content!! I have been in the Residential Remodeling Business in Boston for 27years and finished switching over to all Battery about a year ago, Milwaukee off course. Only corded tool we use is the Microwave! LOL! Now Clint, do you think its that much of a difference from the last model? I just dont know if it would be worth the purchase right now??? The 18volt I mean, because the 12volt by what your showing is a whole lot better than the last model. Thanks, Clinton T. That
I have no Milwaukee tools yet (hilariously my collection is mostly ryobi and ONE festool 😆). I’m interested in the 5 3/8” saw to use in combination with the milescraft track saw guide to create basically a super lightweight track saw for accurately breaking down sheet goods, if the saw is compatible with their guide. Does that sound like an appropriate use for this tool? I’m basically an artist/hobbyist (hence why ryobi has mostly served me well), so nothing crazy high volume would be needed, probably just a few sheets of 1/2” or 3/4” plywood broken down every few months. Thank you for the video! Also, having spotted your comment about vegans not being funny, I would say it depends on the vegan in question, I’ve definitely met the “up tight humorless” variety as well as the “absolutely hilarious and will make you hot cocoa on demand” variety 😁! [edit] you might have answered my question later in the video, maybe not meant for sheet goods?
Those look like pretty nice saws. I’m glad you mentioned about the eyesight thing, because I have an issue with seeing smaller writing and numbers up close nowadays. Would definitely have to break out the cheater lenses.
@toolreviewzone how is the sightlines for a right handed person? Im used to blade left saws, so worried about visability. Does sawdust stay off the line of sight more on the right side blade as opposed to say a rear handle blade left? Thanks in advance
Did you mention the Milwaukee model numbers in any part of this video? Anyway, you covered a lot of stuff but that 7 1/4 circular saw; what is the model number? Maybe I missed it sorry
No worries, i believe i places the links in the description and attached them to the shopping bag in the video as well. If not, let me know and I'll get the info to you
I don't get the hate for blade right saws. I'm right handed and use a Dewalt 20V saw with blade right. It also has a viewing window through which the blade can be seen. Do people not know that there's a notch on the shoe that shows you where the blade is cutting? 🤔
@milwaukeetool i really wish you came out with a blade left new gen sidewinder with the thick kerf blade. Yes i know you got a new gen rear handle which was much needed but come on ! Blade left and s new gen of the m18 miter saw and new gen table saw please! Ohh ya and lighter framer lol
I went milwaukee 2 years ago and the only tool I don't like is the circular saw 7' 1\4. Heavy and the visibilty on the saw is terrible. I like a Flexvolt better.
I guess these would be useful for contractors where corded tools are inconvenient but for an average diy guy I have a hard time justifying spending so much money for the convenience of a non corded tool. I have corded tools that work great after decades of use and guess what you don’t have to ever get a new battery which costs more than what I bought the corded tools for 😊
Only downside I note with its build is (in common with many others) a really thin ‘no meat’ rear shoe support. No issue in regular use, but if you want to add say a rear support for a rip fence or a screw through hold down to a jig, well there is nothing you could drill/tap or otherwise affix to at the back of the shoe….it is flimsy, but enough.
@@AllTattedUp13 I've used the HP line and Milwaukee and couldn't tell the difference in quality or longevity. Now the non-HP I'm sure is a bit different.
@@MurseTech64 they're owned by the same company bro. Milwaukee is more for us tradesmen that use them daily and beat the shit outta our tools. Ryobi, nothing wrong with it. Just not ment to stand up to the daily use and abuse. More catered to your weekend warrior diy ppl.
Because there is no true 20 volt. At full charge an 18 volt battery will produce 20 volts, but it drops down to around 18 very quickly. Thats why dewalt calls it “20 volt max”

I also got mine, but haven't put it to use yet. Just got invested into a few milwaukee tools.
I was wishing he'd included that size since that's the size I was considering.

Thanks for this, I really want that m12
Informative vid just what i was looking for 👍

I hope they make this with blade left. I got their new 6.5 and love it.
Have you run the new m18 with a Forge 6.0? I just picked up the saw and have a few forge 6.0 and wonder if its actually worthwhile buying the 8.0
Thinking about getting a M18 saw with a jigsaw as a kit at HD. Thanks for the info
Great video Clint TWO saws real nice like, and taking on a wasp! I just know you do it for us😁
Not all heros wear capes brother
Real nice like...wish I held back on buying my older gen m12 and m18 circ saws.
I have to try that saw mainly for the increase bevel angle

Been interested in getting some m12 saw for when I’m sheeting roofs
"This saw is for a baby!" 😂
I like the wasp kill as well m12

The m12 doesn't have 6000 rpm, FYI. It's around 3800? You can tell it is a bit slow spinning.
I don't get the hate for blade right saws. I'm right handed and use a Dewalt 20V saw with blade right. It also has a viewing window through which the blade can be seen. Do people not know that there's a notch on the shoe that shows you where the blade is cutting? 🤔
There’s more reasons than just sight picture to prefer wormdrive saws. In the professional carpentry world wormdrive saws are king.
I need to see gen 2 fuel circ saw vs dewalt 60v flex volt circ saw
LOL, No Pilot Holes! I get it. :)

Can you do the Hercules vacuum video please
what I can't understand is why don't all manufacturers make ALL their circular saws compatible with their own guide rails?
nice saws. why you car key in hand put in pocket.
I wish the 7 1/4 was blade left
Me too, since when did these companies start making left handed saws as a standard for right handed people. Talk about gas lighting
@@Rider.WhiteHorsehope this is a joke lol
They make a wormdrive 7 1/4

Would love to see how it stand against dewalt 60v and the flex saw
I can’t tell you from experience they blow the flex out of the water

Hey brother when are you doing a review on the new Ryobi edge battery
This week 👊
@@ToolReviewZone awesome 😎
So the M12 is for framing dog houses?
That 7 1/4 looked like i stalled with that 12.0 on there. Thats not good
Then you force the cut on the last ones so it doesnt stall

That Pittsburgh-esc accent is obnoxious.
There is no f#$king way that new saw will beat a Dewalt 578.
Can't justify buying these over the Ryobi HP line
If you're in the trades and your tools are your bread n butter. It's fully justified 😂

Milwaukee tools are still 18V instead of 20V.
So are Dewalt 20V Max. Congrats on being stupid.
