Thank God because I know have friends now at 60 years old still walking around stepping and hoppin around like they 20! I've studied the Word too and agree with what you are saying. I've always been curious about the origins of fraternities, and how its rituals symbolic crest and shields were derived. I pledged simply because the fraternity looked like fun and was fun . I was lacking something within and was attracted to being a part of the brotherhood. What I learned was what was required for membership. I never gave it much thought. Thanks for the enlightening me.

I denounced in January of 2022 and renounced my membership with the organization in May of 2022 after being a part of the organization for 19 years. God is pleased with his children not just listening to his word, but actually doing his word and not hardening their hearts. As an old skool HBCU pledged brother of APhiA and a PHA Mason I would say that this brother’s experience is alarming and disturbing. However he is fairly accurate with his assessment with fraternities and their relationship to freemasonry.
they say the same thing about gangs. Just because the structure of an org may be similar does not mean their purpose is the same or that they have a relationship. You could say the oddfellows, elks and others had the same influence but they are less known. I could show you a pic and you'd probably not be able to tell the difference. could be a royal order of gardeners.

Within a relatively short period of time Black Americans formed many many organizations which then produced various institutions, which led to more refined organizations with more specific purposes. Often times individual were apart of multiple organizations each having their own purpose. As an example, MLK was a baptist minister, but was also a graduate of morehouse college, a member of alpha phi alpha fraternity, SCLC, NAACP, and other organizations. Each organization was in a broad sense created for the progress and improvement of Black Americans but the membership was restricted or limited to a more specific demographic within the Black American community. Alpha phi alpha was formed to promote brotherhood, manly deeds, and scholarship among Black American male college students and graduates. However Prince Hall freemasonry was created to help development good men into even better men within their families, communities and country and yet college attendance is not a requirement for member consideration. Finally we must acknowledge that the only perfect institution created by God is Marriage and the Spiritual church. Because man is flawed Everything that man touches or create is flawed and has faults. If you study deeper into the issues that the brother mentioned you will realize that regardless of race color or creed ALL institutions and organizations created by man has flaws. I hope that this answers your question or at least points you in the right direction of gaining a better understanding.

Because 1. It is an opinion and not a fact! 2. It's not important, especially when there are so many prevailing issues impacting our communities for the church to be addressing. 3. The focus should be (if it's not) about witnessing and teaching about the LOVE, MERCY, GRACE and SALVATION of our Heavenly Father, to bring none believers to Christ! Any church that focuses on trying to tear down these organizations has lost its purpose and I truly believe it is displeasing to God, because that is not what He has called you to do! If you genuinely want to see your brothers and sisters become "saved" through Christ Jesus and have the kind of relationship with Christ that will help bring more people to Christ and His church, then pray and meditate on His Word for guidance, because this isn't it!! If He calls me to denounce my fraternity, it is His will and plan because He has another calling for me to focus on. It absolutely amazes me how people who are not affiliated with these organizations have so much to say about them and there members. However on the other side of the koin most if not all members are not worshipping the organization or founders. There is nothing sinful to take an oath to become a devoted member of the organization. I have been dating a que on and off for so long and this is has been my biggest issue with him. He claims not to be super into and freemasonry in his family but he lies so so much, and this man mentioning lying at the beginning of the video, that was confirmation. My ex never ever wants to go to church with me, always fights with me whenever I bring up spiritual things, skillfully manipulative to make me feel crazy, and never lets me go. It been difficult keeping him out of my life and I have asked him to renounce, he said no way. It has such a stronghold on him, and soulties are soo real.

As an old skool HBCU pledged brother of APhiA and a PHA Mason I would say that this brother’s experience is alarming and disturbing. However he is fairly accurate with his assessment with fraternities and their relationship to freemasonry.

they say the same thing about gangs. Just because the structure of an org may be similar does not mean their purpose is the same or that they have a relationship. You could say the oddfellows, elks and others had the same influence but they are less known. I could show you a pic and you'd probably not be able to tell the difference. could be a royal order of gardeners.

@@drehardin great question. If you closely study Black American history you will see that our ancestors realized very early on that organization was key to “our” progress. Within a relatively short period of time Black Americans formed many many organizations which then produced various institutions, which led to more refined organizations with more specific purposes. Often times individual were apart of multiple organizations each having their own purpose. As an example, MLK was a baptist minister, but was also a graduate of morehouse college, a member of alpha phi alpha fraternity, SCLC, NAACP, and other organizations. Each organization was in a broad sense created for the progress and improvement of Black Americans but the membership was restricted or limited to a more specific demographic within the Black American community. Alpha phi alpha was formed to promote brotherhood, manly deeds, and scholarship among Black American male college students and graduates. However Prince Hall freemasonry was created to help development good men into even better men within their families, communities and country and yet college attendance is not a requirement for member consideration.
Finally we must acknowledge that the only perfect institution created by God is Marriage and the Spiritual church. Because man is flawed Everything that man touches or create is flawed and has faults. If you study deeper into the issues that the brother mentioned you will realize that regardless of race color or creed ALL institutions and organizations created by man has flaws.

This what a great video! The sad part about joining a fraternity/sorority is that not enough Christian churches are saying that the BLGO's are a form of idolatry n is not of God! I still don't understand why Christian churches don't address this more. Ugggg
A lot of the churches encouraged said affiliation.
Half of the pastors are in fraternities...I know a pastor who pledged Que after he became a pastor. They don't want to talk about it!
Because 1. It is an opinion and not a fact! 2. It's not important, especially when there are so many prevailing issues impacting our communities for the church to be addressing. 3. The focus should be (if it's not) about witnessing and teaching about the LOVE, MERCY, GRACE and SALVATION of our Heavenly Father, to bring none believers to Christ!
Any church that focuses on trying to tear down these organizations has lost its purpose and I truly believe it is displeasing to God, because that is not what He has called you to do!
If you genuinely want to see your brothers and sisters become "saved" through Christ Jesus and have the kind of relationship with Christ that will help bring more people to Christ and His church, then pray and meditate on His Word for guidance, because this isn't it!!
How DARE you or anyone question my belief and acceptance of the Son of God, the Holy Lamb, the resurrected Redeemer; and the same promises which He has given to you, He has also given to me - even with my being in a fraternity!! If He calls me to denounce my fraternity, it is His will and plan because He has another calling for me to focus on. Not because another Chrisian has personal dislikes and issues with fraternities and sororities.
It absolutely amazes me how people who are not affiliated with these organizations have so much to say about them and there members. If it doesn't interest you, you don't have to join one or even give them your attention; yet you stay up on reading, studying and watching RUclips videos about them; when you end up falling prey to idol worship yourselves as a result!! This is insanity because we all know that that is not what we are called to do, yet it is such a focus amongst black Christians! Why?
If anything, you turn fellow brothers and sisters who are members if these organizations off from receiving the true spiritual and holy WORD that God wants to share with them!!
Because so many of the Preachers are heavily involved in it....And most of the saints are too hence it becomes a 💰 Issue

I’m less concerned with the word “fraternity” and more concerned with the acts of hazing, promotion of sexual immorality, the practice of elitism, and the syncretic oaths and rituals that are practiced within certain fraternities. If your organization doesn’t practice any of the above or anything that God specifically outlines in scripture that He hates, then I agree with you, it won’t matter. Ephesians 5:1-5

For all those former members of the Devine 9 who has denounced or renounced their fraternal organization I wish only the best in their quest to getting closer to God.
However on the other side of the koin most if not all members are not worshipping the organization or founders. There is nothing sinful to take an oath to become a devoted member of the organization. Their are many man made organizations or institutions that are secular. It doesn't mean they are satanic. I hold the founders of my fraternity in high esteem. But I don't worship them at all. I only worship my Lord Jesus Christ.
