Betty's Hershey's Chocolate Town Chocolate Chip Cookies

Betty demonstrates how to make Chocolate Town Chocolate Chip Cookies. Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies, and this recipe from a Hershey's 1934 cookbook is a classic!
Hershey's Chocolate Town Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375°. Mix together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. In a separate bowl stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add dry mixture to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
