As someone who has driven a car before…. What on earth are they thinking at iracing headquarters? No car drives like the mx5… even on cold tires, heck you can drive on snowy roads and have more grip than that car. I get it… it’s a car that is incredibly rewarding to master… especially if you do a lot of driving on hockey rinks, frozen lakes or margarine. Seriously though, can I get an amen? Honestly the car makes me giggle sometimes by the insane antics.
@@DirtyMike2024 that’s wild! I guess they wanted to exaggerate the forces and reactions on the car, but I can’t think of a reason why, especially considering the towering cost of using iRacing, you’d think they would want the first road car rookies use to be a friendly foray into the esport…. But what do I know..
I tried this car, gt4 and gt3, I found this is most suitable for beginners. I can drive the other two smoothly for sure, but way slower than others and cannot apply the correct technique
@5:31 do you mean by setting something other than autoblip in the settings menu and use clutch and throttle to manual blip?in general, which mode would your recommend for driving mx5, autoblig, completely manual, etc
Autoblip is no good for MX5. Set it manual and learn how to rev match with a manual throttle blip when shifting down to first gear (and sometimes even down to second). It’s the fastest method and gives you the most control.
Thanks for watching. I’m left foot braking, and blipping the throttle as I turn down to first gear (and sometimes from 3rd if the revs are really high).
The car is off balance so you need to use less brake strength and less steering while you brake. Try and brake in a straighter and for longer (with less pressure).
That turn 3 is so hard. Costing me about 1-2 seconds alone 😂

if you look at the setup, the front sway bar is firm and the rear is UNHOOKED. Bro who actually came up with that????

Like the way how you explanate!
Thank you! Good luck this week 🏁
My best is 1:37 and I just started I racing , but took time to figure out the game
Like how the tires are not emulating rubber but blocks of ice?

Thanks for all the help. Do you blip the gas on downshift like you would when heel toe? Or are you left foot braking?

Nice Lap!
