Thanks Jonathan. I ended up stepping away from the company I was with to start my own. We’ve been working hard at it so I just wanted to say thank you for your comment. If you have any questions about iRacing or the sim, we are here for you.
The ghostcar is not useful unless you're playing with friends cos it's usually just optop of you and distracting. However, something that made the ghostcar actually really fun and useful (makes track learning much faster) for me in practice was to set an offset. Sets your ghost up the road by X amount. e.g. at 0.4s you can see what they're doing into the next corner and can try something else to see if you gain on them. Also just that feeling of trying to catch up to him (you) does something to you to make you drive/learn faster. To offset your ghostcar " -go do Documents, open iRacing folder -open the app.ini file in notepad. -scroll down about 3/4 the way to the [SplitsDeltas] section -here there will be a line ghostCarOffsetSec=0.000000 if you want a 1 sec offset, change the number value to 1.0, half second 0.5, etc -save and done! Your ghost car will now "start" 1 second (or a value of your choosing) ahead of you instead of always being "inside" you (gross) " Only downside is I keep trying to get their tow on straights :D
Haha. Thanks for sharing. I know you can also change the opacity of the car to make it look more like a real car. It still goes ghosted when you get close though.
A good way to use the ghost car is to practice against a lap file performed by someone with good pace. If you use VRS or another setup/coaching site, this is easy to do. If you're on a league or have a friend with good pace that's willing to share a lap file with you, this is another good option.
So when a car does have traction and abs customization, when you press those buttons, does something come up on the UI to tell you that a change is being made?
It's a personal thing 😅 Some wheels would have them written on. Like PIT, or Brake etc. up to you whether you map your brakes/limiter to it, or press to chat. What ever you feel like/is intuitive.
I don't even have iRacing (yet) and I enjoyed watching this whole video! I'll definitely come back to it when I finally get a rig!
Fantastic video bud. You deserve more recognition for something so concise and helpful 👊

Noob here, is there a way to save these layouts per wheel ?
Good video, thanks! What steering wheel do you have?
Great list!
Thank you! Hope it helped. :)
Are there additional driving views or just from the cockpit?
Thank you.
Good info thee Jose. I'm commenting to help you with the channel
Thank you!
look up would be best used on steep banking when you cannot see fwd far

No. It changes on the dash page of the car.
The look up/down is for if you correctly set the fov and can’t see the dash. It still sucks to use but that why it exists fwiw
Where is the engine map?I can't find it
So stupid to ask for a like before i haven’t seen anything
Wouldn't it have been useful to show people where you put your buttons that you just explained -_--------------
You cant figure out where you want your buttons? 😂
I'm positive 99.9% of this audience don't have 20nm+ DD wheels and hydraulic brakes... organize it yourself 😂
It's a personal thing 😅

Your seat does not fit to your height man 😂🙄
