    PRINT RECIPE ▶ www.justonecookbook.com/best-...
    INGREDIENTS
For the Crepe Batter (I use a kitchen scale to measure the weight)
1 cup (120 g) cake flour (You can use all-purpose flour, too; If you use a measuring cup, follow this method: Fluff your flour with a spoon, sprinkle it into your measuring cup, and use a knife to level it off. Otherwise, 1 cup of flour will end up weighing more than 120 g.)
    1 Tbsp sugar
½ tsp kosher or sea salt (I use Diamond Crystal; use half for table salt)
    2 large eggs (50 g each w/o shell)
1½ cups (360 ml) milk (whole or reduced fat; if you measure your flour with a cup measurement, this tends to yield more flour than if you measure with a scale, so you may need to adjust the consistency of the batter with additional milk)
3 Tbsp (43 g) unsalted butter (melted; melt the butter in a microwave or a small saucepan)
    For Cooking the Crepes
1 Tbsp neutral-flavored oil (vegetable, rice bran, canola, etc) (for cooking crepes)
    For Fillings/Toppings (Optional)
    confectioners’ sugar/powdered sugar
    lemon
    Nutella
    maple syrup
    honey
    banana
    strawberries
    blueberries
    chocolate syrup
    For Fresh Whipped Cream
1 cup (240 ml) heavy (whipping) cream
    2 Tbsp sugar

I own a Japanese crepe shop in Canada and Nami’s crepes are perfect.
Really though all her food is. This should be your go to channel for Japanese food.

@@justonecookbook The name is Wisdom Cafe
      It is in London, Ontario.
I lived in Fukuoka for a few years. That is where I met my wife. Doing Japanese crepes was her idea. I wanted to do okinomiyaki but we started as a retail tea shop with a 150 teas and she thought the little bit greasy smell of okinomiyaki is the wrong smell for a tea shop.
My son absolutely loves every recipe I make by you. He said he can eat your Japanese Hambagu everyday. He eats it every week so it might be true.
Thanks for all the great work you do.

As a Belgian, I approve of this recipe for pannenkoeken.
Usually the first one fails. My trick is to bake the first one with more butter, less for the rest

My childhood I grew up in Japan. My dad was Air Force and my mom is from Okinawa. We lived in Fusa for 10 years. My dad drove a bus to and from Narita airport and I would go with him on the weekends. I always went to the roof where they made crepes and would get one with strawberries, cream, and chocolate syrup! 😋 I’ve never had a crepe live up to that since and I’m 44 now. I’ll have to try this recipe!❤

I’m Russian and crepes are very common in Russian kitchen. We usually fill them with farmers cheese, meat or chicken. I loved your recipe, it’s basically the same way we make it. Just mine don’t always come out the way I expect them to be. Thank you for a great recipe.

I've been watching one Japanese crepe making video after another recently, so I started craving crepes lol. But I found out that where I live they're never filled with cream and served in a cone shape like in Japan, and they're also pretty expensive. So this video recipe couldn't have come at a better time, it even includes different topping ideas including the classic Japanese style, it's perfect! 😫 I've watched this channel for a while now but never dared to follow a recipe, I'll be following this one for sure haha. Keep it up Nami and team!

I've been making crepes (My father is French-Canadian) since I was about 5 years old. While there are some differences in the technique (French crepes usually have very little brown colour), the recipe is very good. This looks delicious, and I love the style difference. French don't usually include sugar unless it's a dessert crepe, but I *always* put some sugar in. And it's pretty common knowledge among crepe makers that the first one is always terrible! I look at is as "it's just seasoning the pan correctly for all the ones to follow". Love your videos, I'm a new subscriber.
