  • Check out our secrets for a fabulous faux #marble floor. Our drab concrete porch was transformed with non-toxic products. Concrete dye with a bit of paint was marbleized on to concrete prepped with white vinegar, then topped with a water-based sealer. -- Stephie.

    I was prepared to like and subscribe after I heard your absolutely unhinged intro music, but your detailed and easy-to-follow explanations made it a sure thing.

    Stephie, your product list is not clear for this. Can you please clarify? You say Behr concrete dye in Jungle Moss, but! then you say Kilz in tropical foliage??but it is not listed..can you please make a more detailed list?

      Hi, Joyce, I'm glad you caught this. I updated the list. My favorite Behr concrete stain has been discontinued, so I listed another water-based stain that I would try the next time I paint green marble. Also, I corrected the green primer item (I'd listed another discontinued stain by mistake). Any dark green primer, floor paint, or concrete paint would work. Basically, I do the marbleizing with the paints/primer and then use the blue-green stain on top. - Stephie

    I love how this turned out. Could I used a solid concrete stain water down to create this look.

      Yes, but the problem is finding a water-based stain. Most wood stains would need to be thinned with very stinky solvents.

    can you gloss this ?

    • @LoveForACountryHouse
      @LoveForACountryHouse  2 года назад

      Yes, you can definitely gloss it. You can control the amount of gloss by mixing gloss and matt sealer, or use straight gloss. We show how to mix sealers in our tinted sealer video here: ruclips.net/video/u-bPTadVE3g/видео.html
