Didn't expect to see you in the comments now I want to see you, Ashens and Stip0 reviewing some Dead Rising zombie tat that would be a fun cross over lol
On a website where, whenever a RUclipsr covers a RUclipsr, it's intended to tear them down, it's always heartwarming to see someone try to be more uplifting.
Certainly an overreaction, seeing as deleting your own videos only harms your income and not Capcom's, though it it shady to not toss him a review copy when absolute nobodies are getting it, especially when he has such a presence in the Dead Rising community. It really is like someone didn't want him breaking the game down like he usually does, and that getting in the way of fair criticism of a game we are all wanting to see done right raises some red flags and forces me to question DRDR's quality more so than I previously was.
Why do you think Capcom not giving stipo a code is them trying to "get in the way of fair criticism"? That makes no sense, considering other RUclipsrs that got an early code criticised the remaster fairly.
@@Johnspartan296 Yeah, fair enough. It may be as simple as him not even having even 50k subscribers, which honestly, if you have limited review copies to give, why would you even think about giving it someone who's only uploads have been in the last two months? It does sound like they just want as much people to be exposed to the game as possible. Edit: I just read that he had previously uploaded leaked Dead Rising 2 developer cinematics...? If that's true, he really shouldn't have expected anything, lmao.
@psychopathic_ That's how I see. He's only uploaded 2 videos this year, and the latest video before those was uploaded over a year ago. He's getting barely any new viewers, if any, and Capcom wants exposure for the remaster. Stipo also isn't a game reviewer, he's a dataminer. He just isn't the kind of channel to get an early code.
It's super weird, couldn't they have just gave him an NDA to not cover the behind the scenes content if that was the problem? It's unlikely he would've broken it
This is just a theory, but I feel like the reason they probably didn’t give him a copy is due to the fact that his opinion of the game will be probably more negative than Capcom would like since they keep changing so many things that’s why they never gave him a copy because they wanted to avoid negative criticism even though they haven’t anyways but still
@@BigTea Capcom reached out to him and I'm guessing gave him a copy. Not that it excuses his hissy fit, if anything it looks more like capcom giving into a child's tantrum.
@@subliminaldoomer1966 That tantrum was a bad look, I agree, but they should have thrown the guy a bone from the start for pushing their game for 11 years. I would have been pissed too if I heard nothing from Capcom and then every small reviewer and their cousin churn out previews on the game. IMO both parties are idiots
@@TheAbysswalker True, he has been dedicated for years. But at the same time, I think giving an early copy of your game to a youtuber who's whole deal is datamining for unused content before it's even out probably wouldn't end well. He owns builds that Capcom probably never wanted to be seen. And datamining is looked down upon in Japan, so it's understandable why they didn't give him one.
@@subliminaldoomer1966 I think we both see the logic and emotions behind both parties. Capcom can give codes to whoever they want and STiPO can private all his stuff. It's very possible that they internally blacklisted him due to his data mining. Then again, I watched his last 2 videos singing praises about the new game and paired with Capcom's strict embargos, he wouldn't have been able to show anything special anyway. I'm sure he would have published a positive preview, so it's just a sad story overall 😔
The thing is, you're looking at this from the lens of a content creator who wants to maximize monetary gain. Stipo doesn't want to make bug bucks. This decade long channel wasn't for milking or money. It was a passion project. Luckily enough, four or five hours before this video went up he made his videos public again, so no fears there. But I 100% don't blame him for losing interest. At the end of the day, Capcom can hope for a new audience. But we all know there is no new audience without the old audience. They've certainly spammed me with their fair share of ads.
I empathize his feelings over not getting a code, but he's having an INSANE overreaction, like holy shit...It's to the point where it's getting hard to feel bad, I'm sorry. He's acting like he was blacklisted from ever playing the damn remaster.
i had the same thing as you regarding stipo, he got me into dead rising and interested in beta content as a whole.. i hope he will be ok and fix this its rly a shame..
Never seen his videos but if the reason is that he felt unappreciated by the devs then I can certainly understand him. Dedicating your life to a franchise and not getting appreciation is a harsh treatment.
I only saw some of his videos which all seemed to be great lenses into Dead Rising whether Capcom liked it or not, but he doesn't seem to have the right constitution for RUclips even if he had the passion for the game series and talent to make videos. Perhaps he has some difficulties elsewhere and retreated into Dead Rising as his only escape.
Ngl I use to watch stip0 for years. It’s disappointing he didn’t get early access but he definitely overreacted and embarrassed himself on Twitter and showed him refunding his preorder saying he’s going to have nothing to do with the new game. I don’t think it was fair of him to announce he’s dealing with mental health problems either because none of us had any idea what was happening. I hope he comes back but we all know if he does a bunch of people are gonna use it to dunk on him after he said he’s done.
@@jackperry5205 yea I don’t disagree I think to the extent he should have shared that he didn’t get early access and that’s it. Everything else after was uncalled for and only made himself look bad

bro i am right behind this, the guy should most definitely get a review code for his dedication to the dead rising series they arent gonna care about him looking through different builds and stuff, the game is 18 years old, if they didnt want anyone to see some stuff they would've completely removed it from the games files.
Maybe, but he's lived and breathed dead rising for years. Never fell off, and always had fresh content for a game that came out 18 years ago. That's commitment, and it is sad that it wasn't noticed. Especially in light of all the changes and sensors.. he would have lit that up. Such a shame and I feel for the guy.
His reaction was immature..but he should have been one of the people. That being said, idk what he expected. Most game studios would send Pokimane’s vapid ass review codes if they thought she’d play it. It’s all about how big your audience is.
@@MrAjking808no we dont lol.. nun wrong w the word unalive or telling people to do so.. pdf’s should unalive themselves.. censoring games bc u feel they need to be more for everyone in itself is sexist.. get off corporate meat.
STI1P0's probably the biggest pillar of Dead Rising's niche RUclips community that I know of so I can understand how him not getting a preview to the new remaster would feel like a massive lowblow from Capcom but at the same time his reaction did seem a little overblown in my opinion.
Then again isn't the new remastered DR is heavily censored and some of its iconic features removed for the sake of "modern audience"? Cuz if that's the case it's kinda a disrespect to the original source, similar to the remastered Resident Evil.
This is happening to the dead rising remaster as well. The old actors were replaced, scenes have been cut, characters have been redesigned for "sensitivity" lines have been altered as well.
Corporate oligarchs of today don’t like people who dissect their past work, because those people are the first to spot the flaws of any rework of their original product.
He's back, but i understand his anger, dude has to be the most dedicated fan of the game, he deserve the review copy, he's only going to promote it, knowing his love for the game, and he did
This is really unfortunate to hear. I only discovered his channel for the first time within the last few weeks, so it's surreal to see this happen. I've been playing Dead Rising 1 for the first time and his videos started popping up on my feed. His channel was super cool and I had only scratched the surface of the videos he had made.
Man, I totally can empathize with how he might have felt. probably frustrated and annoyed, or felt offended that he didn’t get a copy. He truly did deserve it, but he didn’t need to get rid of his content man. It’s not just about cap or the developers though it’s about dead rising and its community, the people who play it and love it and have a place in their heart for it. Stippo was one of those people that created that feeling. Come back man it’s okay. I support your content more than I even support Capcom I’m not even lieing.
Bet DR:DR is gonna be bad if THE Dead Rising guy didn't get a copy, Flippy wasn't given a review copy of SR Reboot and he's THE Saints Row guy, Criticisms aside, it probably means old DR fans won't like it (Could be totally wrong, but given DR's track record?)
@@Skona99 I find it hilarious that everyone in the comments is like "Capcom not giving stipo a copy is a clear sign the game will be bad!" because they think he'll hate it, but it turns out he likes it.
Man I just am finding out about the remaster I feel like I have been living under a rock busy with work but I’ve always enjoyed STiP0 content!!!!! No bs just straight to the content ❤
St1p0 is in the right. He’s been holding down the interest for years. Doesnt matter if he was ignored or forgotten He doesnt care about money, youtube is a barley funding platform Him removing his massive views is him removing the people’s possible interest in dead rising
it was dumb of him to delete his videos because the "deluxe" version is already a disappointment anyways, lots of cut content & uncessary changes but its ok, look, new costumes dummies.
he probably got a lot on his personal life that got into his professional life, i wish he would just get away from the public for a while instead of nuking it tho
Never played Dead Rising, never seen Stipo or your videos before now, but I HIGHLY respect the way you did this video. Seeing a content creator have an empathetic discussion like this, it put a smile on my face. Definitely subscribing.
I spent hours watching each of his videos. ST1P0 somehow found a niche and it was enthralling to listen him talk about it. I hope he's reading this. We love ST1P0
I think that Stip0 is right to be pissed & I don't feel bad about him taking his shit down, more power to him cause he was the number 1 guy for DR1 related stuff and they just let him down but also all fans of DR1 down by doing him dirty like that. The remaster isn't faithful enough for me to want to buy it but this was the final nail in the coffin and I don't even know if I could bring myyself to even pirate it at this point.
I do feel bad about it. He always said his mission was to preserve the games history, but it now looks like it wasn't as selfless as he made it out to be if he was willing to completely bury beloved archived used by all of the community because he didn't get picked. Keep in mind, this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE RUclipsr and game, but man am I disappointed. The only people who were punished by his decision was the community, not Capcom. Luckily he saw the error of his ways, I hope he's doing okay and gets back on the horse. Here's the truth - stipo is a dataminer, not a game reviewer. He barely has 50,000 subscribers. He has uploaded twice this year, he is basically semi retired. These are the reasons he wasn't chosen. No company is choosing a RUclipsr who practically doesn't do RUclips anymore, no matter how beloved they are. For all the many shitty decisions Capcom has made recently, this isn't one of them.
@@mr.iiconic He put his videos back up, I think it was just a spur of the moment decision due to his perceived betrayal. I do think he wants to persereve the games history still he just let his emotions get the best of him at the time.
@@FireCrewGAMING He's only "rectifying his mistakes" after Daddy Capcom gave him the attention he was craving. He says he wants to preserve history, yet is willing to throw it all away, which only screws over his fans in the process, when he doesn't get what he wants.
He didn't get a review code bc 1 he's unfortunately not popular enough 2 he's not a Capcom shill 3 he's covered Dead Rising so intense and thoroughly that Capcom didn't want him going that deep on their new game this early. Channels like Sphere Hunter and the ROE are all guys that just blindly praise everything Capcom puts out. It's why their "reviews" have no credibility
You clearly haven't watched sphere hunters review on it then, because she did criticise it. And Capcom caved into stipos temper tantrum and gave him a copy, and he praised it.
@Johnspartan296 well Sphere Hunter is a guy first of all, sorry to break that to ya. You're right about one thing though, I haven't watched him cover the Remaster. I've just seen him shill Resident Evil so many damn times that I just assumed he'd do it for Dead Rising as well. Finally if STiP0 really did get his review code and then praised Capcom bc he got his way then I've lost respect for him. Guess I'll have to wait and see if he calls out all the flaws I've already noticed. Otherwise he's just another gutless Capcom shill like the rest of them.
His videos are back. I can't speak for STiP0 but I would like to think its more of not being reached out to at all rather than being able to play the game early. Capcom ended up reaching out to him. You can call it nonsensical entitlement but I would probably be salty for not being recognized at all too. Wish STiP0 the best.
I think it was disrespectful for Capcom to not send him a code. He IS dead rising. He stoked the embers for years and kept the game alive. He did a lot for the community.
You honestly think Capcom or they higher ups care? At the end of the day they only care about getting the popular content creators to do shill for them & money.
Absolute banger video, IF he ONLY removed the vids BECAUSE of the code he didn't get your end of the video PERFECTLY lays out how he could continue to make content. I miss his videos :(
Definitely agree with the “become the Capcom badboy” angle. Every situation, good or bad, can become an opportunity. He could have paid full price for the game, milked the content to get tenfold returns, really ramped up the constructive (and the troll) criticism of the game and people would definitely listen
I love ST1P0, I really wish he sees this. Like you said, when DRDR was announced, I only cared about what ST1P0 had to say. Maybe he underestimates how loyal his fanbase is, but if he's reading this, dude, I even watched some of your videos multiple times because of how nuanced your coverage is. Please reconsider, your fans think you're faaaaantastic ❤
I love stipo and his passion for Dead Rising, but he overreacted, and now everyone, namely stipo and the Dead Rising community, are paying the price. I hope stipo takes the time to figure things out, then rises like a phoenix from the ashes. Dude's a legend.
They didnt vive it to big content creators. A person with 5k subscribers got a code another person posted hours of footage when it was limited to 30 mins. Also the things he showed were on developlment builds HE OWNS that had debug menus. He didnt have to hack them and it was a almost 20 year old game.
Yeah i started fining it strange when i looked for STIPo´s review yesterday, because if someone will have a nice review for the game it would be STIPO. Then I not only found no review but saw he deleted all his videos. I thought he got into some trouble with youtube. But know thanks to you guys I know he has trouble with CAPCOM. I can understand his frustration, because almost every RUclipsr out there got a copy to review it, but not STIPO. The only guy who made videos with consistency and passion for many years while all other youtubers forgot abot the existence of the game. He kept the love for the franchise alive. If CAPCOM has a problem with him looking into their gaming code, they could have prevented him from doing it ever again via legal options. They decided to ignore one of their most loyal customer, fan and youtuber. I can understand his frustration. I also can understand CAPCOMS motivations, but not their soution to the problem.
"The only guy who made videos with consistency" Except he hasn't. He only uploaded two videos this year, and the latest video before that was over a year old. The dude has a dead channel and isn't raking in any views, which is probably one of the main reasons he didn't get a code. Other reasons probably include the fact that he isn't a reviewer and he has a history of datamining the game.

@@MegaMaxAle I didn't misquote, I used a half quote. Learn the difference. Also, "Now you gave something different for the discussion." Are you just learning how discussions work? It's more about comparison sake, for relevant comparison imagine you spent a decade of your life training sprinting to go to the olympics and then the year you're told "this is it you got a chance" then some guy that ran a marathon once gets your spot instead. Plenty of these creators could care less about Dead rising and will move onto the next game within weeks of it coming out, Stipo would've actually given constructive feedback and criticisms for the devs and long time fans given his experience w the series vs other creators going "oh this is cool" and making a singular video on it, most of which have probably never played the original considering its over a decade old.
@@Mystic_Hatter Very true. Numbers are key in these scenarios which is why Stipo didn't get one. I feel like he could of reacted a bit more mature is all. I notice as of writing this he re-instated all his videos. I assume he would agree that he may of over reacted.

Cos a lot of big game reviewers on RUclips won’t get sent a copy and will have to ask devs/publishers directly for a code or wait for release.
It's honestly sad, to be honest. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. I can only imagine how disheartening it must be to dedicate your life to a series, only for a RUclipsr who primarily plays Call of Duty to get a code, play the game once, and then go back to their usual content. It must hurt. I've seen this happen a lot with Space Marine 2. Almost no dedicated 40K gamers received early access nor a code, while people who know nothing about the franchise did. I do feel that deleting all of your videos is a bit extreme, though. That move would primarily affect your income, and it wouldn't solve the issue. Still, it must be incredibly frustrating to pour your heart into a series and receive no recognition the least they could have done was toss him a code since he's clearly one of their most loyal fans and I hope it hasn't perquaded him to stop uploading.
it's sad because his ENTIRE channel is dedicated to dead rising, while i admit deleting everything is a bit of an overreaction, i can definitely see how he thought it was justified

My bad I meant remastered Silent Hill.
His content is back but its damn shame he had that reaction being heart broken because liked his content.
