Funniest Story Ever: Our Fight Back in the Day! 🥊🥊😂🤣🤣💥Buddy McGirt vs Andrew Council

In 1995, former world champion Buddy McGirt and Andrew Council faced off in the ring. McGirt was a former WBC welterweight champion, while Council was a rising contender. The fight was close throughout, but Council ultimately won by knockout in the ninth round.
Fast forward 16 years, and McGirt and Council are reunited backstage at a charity boxing event in Beverly Hills. The two men catch up on old times and share some big laughs about their fight and life in the boxing world.
In addition to discussing their fight, McGirt talks about his time training Clifford Etienne (The Black Rhino) for his 2003 fight against Mike Tyson. It's a fight that's memorable because it only lasted 59 seconds!!

This scene was was captured in April 2011 backstage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The camera crew seen in the background were shooting B-Roll of Michael King's amateur boxers warming up on the mitts for the Mario Lopez produced feature documentary "CHAMPS". The charity boxing event was put on by "K.O. Cancer" for "City of Hope" and featured a celebrity bout between Mario Lopez and Jimmy Lange of "The Contender".
This is a hilarious video that features two of boxing's most respected veterans. It's a must-watch for any fan of the sport.

My favourite thing about these stories is hearing your laugh in the background!
Fighters are fascinating characters but most interviewers ask the most bland questions and you can tell the fighters don't feel comfortable opening up. People don't see the camaraderie and fun that happens in the gym behind the scenes.
I'd love it if you could do a series of these boxing stories.
