This is going to prove enormously useful for a lot of people, I think.
100% - just took a stab at using one of the TOS living campaign scenarios using captains log - i think i need to really read up on the peculiarities of captains log and where it differs from the main game , especially in terms of abstracting some of the things like extended tasks, combat, etc... I had rolled up a medical officer using the lifepath roller and i think its fair to assume that you will be abstacting a lot if you're not playing the captain, at least unless the given scenario doesnt have a strong focus on your chosen discipline. dont get me wrong it will have something, but i cant help but feel if youre using scenarios designed for "regular" STA you might want to run a "captain" and not just an officer aboard a ship, or elsewise "run" some supporting characters who will share the spotlight
Congratulations on the upcoming release. STA has always been very difficult for me to get to the table as it requires quite a crossover of fandom between RPGs and Star Trek. Looking forward to running Captain's Log as a solo RPG but fantastic to then be able to dip other players in and out if they want to try it out. Thanks!

@@Calamindir Weird. Maybe they need to contact Modiphius to figure out why their distributors are slow to get it. It’s at the main warehouse and ready to ship direct from Modiphius, anyway.
Thanks for that! Do you think that is necessary to read the entire mission ahead of playing or can it be played scene by scene, act by act? Also, which mission would you recommend as the first one to start trying with Captain's Log?
I think reading the synopsis so you have a broad understanding of where it's going would be useful, then jump into the first scene and get started. Use the other scenes as encounters to taste, but be willing to go your own way and make the story your own.
As for recommendations, hard for me to pick. We have over 100 standalone adventures in one format or another, aside from the 200+ mission briefs. Check out the descriptions on the webstores and see what calls to you. "Remnants," "Call Back Yesterday," and "Back to Reality" tend to be mentioned a lot by fans.

I've noticed that Modiphius has STA character sheets, but do you know if they have/ will have Captain's Log sheets?
Already do. They're part of the download package when you buy the PDF or get a free copy of the PDF with print purchase. If you bought the print edition, email support@modphius.com with proof of purchase or a picture of you holding the book and they'll email you the PDF. The character sheets and supplemental material are part of the download package.
