I love the mission briefs because they include three acts, which complements Captain's Log game loop perfectly. I often have a hard time deciding when to advance to a new act and these are invaluable for me. Plus, the content is great!

I am doing a solo campaign, but from a merchant trader perspective instead of Starfleet. These briefs look useful as the Captain Log initial tables are all not ideally suited to a trader captain not in the business of patrolling, saving the galaxy, etc though they will render aid, etc. Perhaps an expansion of tables for the more esoteric campaigns for Captain's Log such as a civilian merchant campaign, a time travelling/dimensional focused campaign, etc can be done. I am watching the first season of Picard, and the Merchant captain in that show is focused on money naturally, asking Picard for more.

Using Captain's Log for independent campaigns / merchant campaigns / non-Starfleet sounds like a great topic for a video or two. I've add that to my to-do list. Thanks for the idea! Hope you enjoy playing with the tools in the game.

Not specifically, but I’m confident most of the briefs could easily accommodate a new captain.
