  • 9 months on using the Helikon Tex EDC Lite 5 days out of 7 with an average loadout that weighs 9lb. A few changes incorporating the Helikon Tex EDC Compact bag as my gear pouch. Save's time when carrying EDC items that supplement my core, on person items.
Two minor inconveniences highlighted but overall perfectly acceptable luggage for Preppers and EDC'ers.
As always please consider subscribing if you like my content. Give me a like and share. And of course I love to read your comments.

One of the reasons I enjoy your channel is to get a different perspective from overseas. Here in the US we only ever see our own news and what is happening here and some bigger international news, but not how that impacts the rest of the world. It's already off the airwaves. I like that you don't push particular brands, but what works for you, and for us to use what works for us. I have finally decided to use a backpacking bag, 45 L, that I leave in my van for longer trips farther afield (Bug out bag), a mountaintop backpack, 28L, that I leave in my car (72 hour get home bag), a mountainsmith small lumbar pack that I use with a backpack attachment that has bigger EDC and water bottle and leave in my classroom, and a small fanny pack that I use as a sling bag that is always on my person that carries my phone, keys, and smaller EDC. I don't always have pockets (grrr). I don't like purses, and I am not always in my classroom (main office, meetings, prep room, bathroom, fire drills, etc) and didn't want to carry my lumbar backpack everywhere. We live in earthquake country and I just want some things to always be with me, just in case. I also have redundancy, as I tried switching a bag that had it all out but it got tedious. Now I just have extras of the important things.

Thank you for your kind words and for watching. It's greatly appreciated.
It can be difficult finding what suits you best and fills your needs. I've found that once I'm comfortable with something it stays. That doesn't mean I won't try something else but unless it's exceptional I always revert back.
There were quite a few demonstrations yesterday. Primarily pro Palestinian (thousands turned up in London). Thankfully it was peaceful with just a handful of arrests for minor public order offences.
My main concern is once Israel launches their ground offensive. I think that's when things may get more out of hand.
We just have to be situationally aware, carryout due diligence and if possible avoid some areas.
Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I never know what the time difference is.
As I write this comment it's 8.50am on Sunday

@@p2snetwork Yea, I feel that heightened tension in the air. Aside from the war mongering across the world, we have upcoming elections, and they set my teeth on edge due to the rising fascism, and then an ongoing pandemic that is dangerous but that no one is doing anything about anywhere. Thanks for your advice, I will definitely stay aware. And I believe there is a 9 hour difference from my side of the US to the UK. At least it is to Norway. You and your lady stay safe too!

Terrible news. Anticipating real trouble across Europe hen the Israelis go into Gaza. Keep safe. Great that you are thinking and planning on assisting others. I’ve been using the Dragon Egg 25L backpack since the end of lockdown in 2020. Hard use, 5 days a week. Impressed and surprised how well it has held up. A bit of stringyness on the MOLLE slots, solved with a lighter flame and the paracord grab handle unwound a bit. That’s it, solid as a rock. One prep I have been doing is moving maintenance un for my car. I also have a moped which I will use as my only vehicle if we have petrol rationing. I’ve also done some proactive maintenance there and I’ve bought oil, filters brake pads, drive belt, spark plugs etc… All ready for the next maintenance. Take car of yourself and the family. Be careful in the big cities.

Cheers for watching and I agree wholeheartedly with you. The worse is yet to come.
Great idea with the moped 👍
I've got enough oil, filters etc to do a service on both our vehicles and try to keep some in reserve.
Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.

@@p2snetwork PS. I was at the local DIY megastore today. Tools like wrenches, pliers etc.. have been looking thin all year with some sizes of sockets out of stock all year. No torque wrenches for more than a year. Ordered one off the internet. Great source of the small portable gas canisters for those little packable, isopropane camping stoves. €5.25 (£4.00). Much cheaper than the camping stores and internet. Nobody knows they are there, tucked in with the canisters for little blow torches. Could be the same in the UK. I moved on from those some time ago for post SHTF cooking but I send new prepper friends on a budget there. Keep rolling with your great channel. Installed the 3 words App on my phone.
