    I don't know why so many people are making such a big deal about the MS Bluetooth keyboard, and its functionality. Yes, it's a good feature. But you always could use a BT keyboard with older surface pros, as I have done for years. The surface pro is so functional because it's so versatile. Don't wait for MS to provide a packaged way to use that functionality. Another example -- using the SP in portrait mode. MS needs to design and implement a kickstand that works for both landscape and portrait. Easily done. And when MS does that, all will sing its praises. But until they do, just get a portable tablet stand.

      It's like how Apple introduced something that Andriod had for a while. But now you have a feature that is fully supported by the OEM.

    Nice look at the benefits of a detachable design like the Surface Pro. The wireless keyboard and pen combo is expensive but you can get much cheaper type covers brand new or used, including compatible ones for older models like the Pro 8 and Pro X.

      This may be very true. And the cost is indeed expensive. One thing to consider is that I have used the last keyboard with three different devices. Generally, these keyboards don't upgrade that often so you can count on a longer use of it.

    Great review! I do want to know your opinion on surface pro vs iPad Air.
    I find myself taking better quality and quicker notes by handwriting them. I’m going to only use the iPad Air/ surface pro for taking written notes directly into my work OneNote using the handwriting to text option, so I can then have my handwritten notes in my OneNote on my work computer. Which product do you think would be best?
    Note: my work computer does run windows 11 currently and all of my work applications are Microsoft based.

      This is a tough question to answer. I am an apple guy and I find myself using both. But if I had to choose one, I would use the iPad. The surface is a great all in on machine. However, I use a Mac as my computer and being able to have an iPad for media sharing and access to my content on the apple ecosystem is very important. If you are only interested in taking notes an which is the best. OneNote on a desktop has move features than the mobile versions. And you can run the desktop version on the surface pro.

    So, if u had to choose iPad or Surface Pro? I’m an apple user thinking about integrating windows. But I’m thinking, HOW can I use windows regularly with my apple and not end up letting it collect dust??

      That is a tough question. I struggle with using my surface pro and iphone. However, I have found that if I use my surface primarily for work and use apps that are available on both devices like Onenote, one drive, and Outlook, it works really well. I think the part that is tough is sharing media.

    Around 7:20 you say, that the device is lighter and has a better resolution screen. This is not correct. Both weight and resolution are the same compared to the two previous versions of Surface pro (8+9). The oled screen and the powerful and power efficient snapdragon are the only things really standing out here.

    Hello Branden,
    Thanks for the review. I have a question if you could answer it. I study applied physics/electronics engineering and I am currently using the surface Go 2 from 2020 with the old surface pen that goes with it with onennote to do all my lecture note taking, problem solving, assignments etc.
    problems with it: during lectures i have to write a mile a minute and it can be quite jittery and not so responsive when i have to zoom in/out and scroll down/up with my fingers, it can also randomly get quite hot where the processor is (even though only onennote/onedrive is open) and the worst thing is the screen is quite small so i have to scroll up/down and zoom in/out quite a lot in onenote. Another thing is if i insert the lecture slides and write/notetake over them, it starts to become quite laggy when there is a lot of content/notes.
    I have been strongly considering getting the surface pro 11 with the pen/regular keyboard combo. I am wondering if you think it is worth to upgrade from the surface go 2 to the surface pro 11 in my case? Would these problems persist if I upgraded?

      @bodendorfer  Месяц назад +1

      YES!!! Oh my gosh yes. The pro model alone will solve a lot of your issues, plus having a device that is 4 years newer in hardware is going to fix some of the issues. I would recommend you get the metal tip and screen cover I use. That is going to also improve your writing.
