- How much do FPHL players get paid?
Here is the pay scale for players in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). This single "A" professional hockey league is the fifth level of pro hockey in North America, and the average player earns around $150 a week. Top players can earn between $200 and $300, with player-coaches able to earn even more.
Here are the highest paying hockey leagues in North America ranked:
1. National Hockey League (NHL) - Major Professional
2. American Hockey League (AHL) - AAA Professional Hockey
3. East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) - AA Professional Hockey
4. Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) - Quebec Based Professional Hockey
5. Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - A Professional Hockey
6. Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) - A Professional Hockey

5,000 a year that’s rough
Only during the season. Off season they work regular jobs.
@@k.s.7104even then bro who’s going to hire you to work half the year😂
@@Great_Lakes_Discus they usually coach and also have jobs during the season since most FPHL games are on the weekend.
@@Great_Lakes_Discusyou’ve never had a summer job ?
Ooof, we hockey fans have to help keep growing these leagues
Haha there’s plenty of minor leagues and good junior hockey to support. ECHL players could stand to make a little more since that is actually pretty decent hockey.
Housing is provided but the quality of housing is very dependent on the health of that FPHL club. Many supplement their income with regular jobs in off season.
It’s actually dependent on how much an OWNER respects the talent that plays for him. There is one, who has lots of teams that could not give a single F about his teams.
About ½ the league 😂
“What do you do to afford yourself the opportunity to play professional hockey?”
The fact is that while they do not get paid very much during the season, all of their expenses are covered. They don’t have to pay for housing. They don’t have to pay for food they don’t pay for housing, and the booster club gives them a clothing allowance in most cities. So, by the time the season is over most of them have just pocketed at all of that money. Yes well most of them have second jobs outside of hockey they don’t play for the money. These guys play because this is a way that they can continue playing professionally.
I’d do it (as of right now when I’m 15 years old that is)
Once I retire from the Army I would play in it!
The top teams pay their players more circumventing the salary cap with visa gift cards and things like that. The league doesn’t have an even playing field in that regard. Top players on some teams would have a 3x pay increase on others
Let’s go Danbury Hat Tricks, 2023 Champions baby
Is that the team true crew plays for
Go to Canada play senior men aa and work an oil rig job or at a coal mine. Just as good hockey and can make 150K+
Who is this woman? Knows hockey and should be a model.
My uncle won two cups in fphl
lol 😂 why are you using the Binghamton Black Bears? 🐻 lol
It's really not that tough most guys work normal jobs in the off season these guys love the game more then your or any NHL players this is where you find the boys still grinding for next to nothing for the love of playing professional hockey
yeah low pay but those who tend play do it out of pure love for the sport
And to think Sieve4oilers couldn't keep a job where the pay is only $150 a week.
No one supports the leagues cause for every young guy trying to make it theres 10 guys that arent going anywhere and act like they're the starting line in the chell.
They do it for your snatch.
So this isn't in a third world country? 😮
Calling pro hockey is a bit of a stretch lol
Let’s go Danville
Seems like they play for the love of the game. These guys would be paying to play on a beer league team s. They just want to play
But also they have their transportation their hotel and their food paid for and then they have a little puck bunnies like you that will you know what you will do anyways hit me up hun
These dudes are just prolonging the inevitable. sorry fellas time to grow up and move on.
Not enough
lmao ya it is these are just scrap players
