#10 toxicity....metallic taste in your mouth. I told a Dr. years ago that whenever I was around chemicals I would get this taste in my mouth like I had just licked a tin can. Our entire family (of 4) had multiple symptoms that were caused by hydrocarbon poisoning (our oil tank filter leaked directly into the crawlspace of our home...3-4 feet deep saturated in the red clay). What a nightmare. We are a lot less sensitive to chemicals now as that was 25 years ago.

ever since I've been getting allergy shots (4 years) I've had this constant, horrible taste in my mouth. The allergist says it's not the cause, but I do have a lot of post nasal drip. The taste is so bad it wakes me up all night. What do you think?
Had a mate with a metallic taste in her mouth. Advised her to get blood work done for I suspected since she stopped consuming meat her B12 - not getting or not consuming enough. Sure enough she had a vitamin B12 deficiency. The metallic taste went away after incorporating B12 in her diet. Do note: there are other causes of a metallic taste in ones mouth. Kidney failure, sinus infections, women's hormones - pregnacy, iron supplements and other medications, chemo to name a few.
Zinc overdose. Tasted like I'd been chewing galvanized pipes.
I haven't really gotten myself tested and I'm in my 30s now. I experienced this when I was in highschool, got a pineapple candy flavor in my mouth that would pop up randomly. Lasted for like a week or so and then just stopped happening

Oh my goodness ever since I was diagnosed with diabetes about four years ago I’ve had the worst taste in my mouth and an abundance of saliva.
Some days are worse than others, but it is generally an annoyance.
Wouldn’t you have less saliva with a dry mouth?
I am lactose intolerant. I normally drink almond milk, but I ran out of almond and needed something for my latte so I use 2% and I was bloated had diarrhea and bad lower abdominal cramps and then 2-3 later I got this sour taste in my mouth even when I brush my tongue won't go away

My 5 yo son had his tonsils removed and 2 days later he had thick white stuff on his tongue and when he would spit, his saliva was thick like syrup. I had never seen thrush before so I called the dr and they (stupidly) told me they had no idea and just said to carefully brush his tongue. Well his tongue bled immediately and he cried from pain and I didn’t even hardly brush. So then I decided to treat it like thrush anyway even tho I wasn’t sure since he’d been on antibiotics for the tonsil surgery. I opened a probiotic pill and put it in a glass of water and had him swish it around. Within an hour his tongue was back to normal - no white stuff
Medications can throw off tastes. My blood thinner threw off my taste temporarily. That being said,food actually tastes better now that I don't consume sugars and carbs.

my wife suffers from something called Burning mouth syndrome, a burning sensation in the mouth tongue and lips aggravated by certain things but constant, a metallic taste in her mouth as well. Her blood work came back normal but through her own research has found that 3 things contribute greatly to this... if you are a Women, over 50, and menopausal(of which she has been for 6 years now!) Dr. Berg can you do a video on this or can someone give us feedback if you have heard, or dealing with this and what you do to combat it. Thanks

I don't think it was any on the list but I have this strange peanut taste thats been there in the back of my mouth for like 2 weeks, it doesn't even hurt at all and comes randomly in terms of strength.

I was poisoned by a neighbors perfume that she was wearing and for months I had migraines. I washed all my bedding and clothes and hair etc etc. for months I could still smell it but there was perfume anywhere. I detoxed say few times a week with coconut oil pulling and Epsom salt baths. Even hot lemon water. Then one day out of nowhere my mouth feels like someone poured that same perfume in my mouth. It lasted over a week. Again I continued the detoxes mentioned above. A month later and no more phantom perfume smells or perfume taste in my mouth

Hey Dr Eric. Thanks for the content. What about if you have GERD and Gastritis? I have a terrible consistent taste of oranges in my mouth and I have pain on the upper right side of my gut and also a lot of acid-like sensations. It feels like I had too much orange juice or alcohol. Doctors haven't found anything wrong with my liver or gallbladder. Just inflammation in my stomach. Hence my concern. Not sure what to do here.

My "odd taste" is sweet! Back of the mouth, daily. Especially in the morning. I'm not complaining. I've had the "too much zinc" flavor before and the "what's rotten?"...
I also have a Very Sick Liver (HCV for 50 years) that won't tolerate very much of anything, but doesn't seem to mind fasting and cruciferous vegetables.
You need to take bile salts for your liver.
Apple cider vinegar would be a first step I'd think. He has quite a few videos on this.
@@audraandrews4281 Still looking for bile salts without added ingredients. My liver doesn't tolerate adjuncts after **50 years of HCV. ** Added ingredients cause pain and can make me sick. If you can find some Bile Salts on the market that don't have lots of goodies added,or hard, colorful tablets, please let me know.
@@rawwoodgifts8117 Did that for a whole year. Tore up my stomach something awful.Quite painful on an empty stomach. I am currently drinking CLOVE tea which seems to be helping. Betaine HCL taken with meals helps the burn, and I suspect it's H. Pylorii that is the culprit in this case, since it will actively suppress the acid production when it takes over.

Yes! When I went low carb, I had that horrible taste in my throat/back of my tongue!! It did go away but for several weeks to around a month it was very discerning. So glad that’s done.

Before I went keto I couldn’t tolerate ACV; it seemed to aggravate the Candida. But now I’m on Keto and doing IF the ACV is helping heaps.

I have a friend with the same problem. But unfortunately just one of so many. She was finally diagnosed with Scalaraderma several years ago poor baby takes 23 types of medications daily. I fear she will either die of an overdose or liver/kidney failure before the damn disease takes her.
I send her Dr. Berg videos all the time hoping changed behaviors could eliminate at least half the drugs she takes. Knowing the other half that treat her Bipolar and Scalaraderma she will probably have to take until God heals her.
I went into acute renal failure in 2019 and noticed a strange taste in my mouth then. Never had that happen before the issue or after recovery.

So this question has nothing to do with the video, but I have no idea where else to put it. I have been intermittent fasting for about a month now. I started 23-1 about a month ago and decided to go to 47-1 a couple of days ago. All I drink during this time is water, sometimes with a bit of lemon juice, but primarily just water. I do drink a lot of it (3 to 3,5 liters a day). Does that interfere with the fasting?

Hello Dr. Berg, can you please provide us with more in depth explanation regarding “KEFIR WATER”? I reside in the Philippines and my friends and family drink it with a ratio around 4 parts water, 1 part kefir grains & 1 part muscovado (cane sugar). All we know is it’s an ancient drink made by shepherds a long time ago using fermentation and is supposed to be very healthy for the gut and supposedly without any side effects. Please educate us properly regarding this if you can. And what is kefir exactly? Is it a mushroom? A bacteria? Please make a video about this.

You might try flax seed oil… it has lots of good nutrients and will really help your problem.
