    Soy has phytoestrogen. Not animal estrogen. Highest intake of estrogen comes from dairy and meat. that is #1.

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 9 лет назад +22

      Because, you comment obnoxiously to someone who is a follower of an animal rights movement that you are eating a steak, which is a flesh of an innocent animal, is rude and chilldish.
      It’s like waving a dead 24 month old fetus in front of a pro-lifer.
      You don’t have to be an American to get disease from animal foods.
      What’s hateful is supporting mass destruction of a plant, species extinction, animal slaughter, massive pollution and deforestation. That’s hateful. Me being blunt is nothing

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 9 лет назад +9

      +Jimmy Stone you're forgetting one individual in this situation. The animals that die brutally stabbed in the neck in fear. you're eating a living being with thoughts, emotions desires and feelings.
      I don't wish bad on anyone. I wish everyone stopped being blood thirsty savages. but since they won't the inevitability of that blood thirst is diet related illness.

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 9 лет назад +2

      Currently 1/3+ world is covered by livestock, major cause of deforestation and pollution . Growing animals for food is unsustainable. You’re right, poor people are starving to death, while cows are being fed 24lbs of food a day so people in rich countries can eat them.
      While I don’t like GMOs, there is no solid proof that Gmos are dangerous. There is plenty of proof that meat, dairy and eggs are dangerous.
      It doesn’t matter how the message is delivered, the message becomes aggressive because people aren’t listening. But the truth is still the truth.
      So killing animals is okay because people are getting killed? That makes no sense. So should you rape people because rape is going to be happening anyways?

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 9 лет назад +1

      The difference is, I’m not supporting the war in Syria. I’m not out there bombing children and shooting people in the face.
      Meat eaters are directly killing animals by paying for their slaughter. Thats the difference.

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 9 лет назад +3

      There is nothing I can do about Syrian children. I do not have money or power for that.
      There is a difference between not helping, and making something worse.
      Like for example. There is a difference between not helping homeless people, and going out and beating up homeless people.
      There is a difference between not rescuing animals but being a vegan, and going out of your way to support animal cruelty.
      I don’t think eating animals kills animals. It does. You’re paying for a product and a service, you’re paying somebody else to kill that animal for you. Just because its for food doesn’t make it okay. Humans are also made out of flesh, just like animals are. So would killing a human be okay as long as it was for food? They feel pain and happiness all the same.

I'm a market farmer and I grow organic chicken, eggs and produce. I build trust with my customers by being transparent. I buy other meat and food for my own use from other growers I know. Regular exercise can reduce excessive estrogen levels in a variety of ways. Physical activity help detoxify too much estrogen and eliminates it through your perspiration. It can also increase your sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), which is important as SHBG binds to estrogens and deactivates them.

    Flax Seed Oil is high in oestrogen (not the ground seed but just the oil). I can attest first hand that large doses should be avoided by men, especially if you are already low T.
    Foods to avoid:
    1.) Soy
    2.) Sugar
    3.) Conventional meat
    4.) Conventional dairy
    5.) BPA plastic and Teflon Pans
    also the video mentions that Milk Thistle will detox added estrogen.

    • @drjoshaxe
      @drjoshaxe  10 лет назад +24

      Great question Elvin Yeo. One of the most common questions I get from patients is “does eating cruciferous vegetables cause thyroid problems?”
      According to the research, it would take a large amount of cruciferous vegetables to cause hypothyroidism and it appears that there is only a risk if someone also has an iodine deficiency.
      One study in humans found that the consumption of 5oz a day of cooked brussels sprouts for four weeks had no adverse effects on thyroid function.
      So my advice if you have a thyroid issue is to consume cruciferous vegetables that have been cooked and keep them to about 1-2 servings daily.

      +Dr. Josh Axe I think that any food in moderation is a good thing, it is unsafe to avoid any food, because our bodies need the vitamins and minerals from the majority of animal products and all vegetables. From what i have read, in moderation good, in excess TOXIC, highly poisonous, to our bodies and our nervous systems. Green veggies are healing, and sustaining to OUR HEALTH.

    • @MasinaTai86
      @MasinaTai86 9 лет назад +3

      I've read somewhere (Google phd lol) that you Should avoid cruciferous veggies if you have a certain type of thyroidism.. I can't remember which one.. I've heard nowhere that these veggies can "cause" thyroidism though.. I think anything in moderation.. I heard broccoli has formaldehyde in it so you shouldn't eat it everyday.. It's good because it helps our liver build up a tolerance for toxins but giving the liver that particular toxin.. If that makes sense.. It's still healthy and safe but not everyday all the time.. Don't quote me though, check up on that for yourself cause I heard it through the grapevine so who knows what info is legitimate these days unless you're reading scientific journals etc..

    Great info. I'm a estrogen dominant post menopausal woman. I am also a pharmacologist and have worked with a farmer who switched his flock to a soy-free diet. I really identify with those CornishX (white) chickens. Both were free range and organic. With soy, they grew to 8 lb dressed in just 8 weeks. With a insect/fish based protein, they were barely 3 lb. He added some flax and they grew larger. I noticed adding flax to my smoothie caused me to gain 2 lb in a week. I was hungry, fat and tired - just like those soy fed chickens. I looked up flax and estrogen and it's loaded. Also, pumpkin seeds.

      Also to add, not judging your Vegetarian lifestyle but rather warning you that the vegeterian/vegan diet has flaws that lead to malnutrition. Your body needs Zinc and B Vitamins which are not only hard but nearly impossible to get in a Plant-based diet. Meat, vegetables, and fruit are all necessary for optimal health. Since red meat and shellfish is high in Zinc and B Vitamins it is recommended to eat Grass-fed Beef and Wild caught Oysters. Its also better for the enviorment since its less money for the destructive farming co that plague the world with bad farming practices.

      Soy lowers your overall estrogen levels. Outcome based studies show that populations with the highest soy consumption have the lowest estrogen levels. This is due to the Phytoestrogen (plant source) blocking the uptake of real estrogen. Dairy raises estrogen levels 10,000 times greater than any other source named here. It's real mammalian estrogen sourced from the lactating breasts of a pregnant cow that's been injected with estrogen to raise milk production.

    Great info. Dr Axe I would recommend also including Maca root since its constituents such as macaines have a nourishing effect on the glands and assists in regulating hormones. In part also I believe due to it's high sulfur content as being part of the cruciferous family its rich in glucosinolates that gets converted via enzymatic reaction into isothiocyanates a sulfur rich compound. Sulfur is essential for hormone balance as hormone transporters such as SHBG have an affinity to bind and transport sulfur bound hormones, get the organic kind low in heavy metals since this is an issue and heavy metals will disrupt glandular function. I recommend Navitas since they buy from Natural Peru company in Peru the only company I know that tests for heavy metals.
