(You can find a list of those foods below as well as references). First of all you should never be afraid of eating any food in moderation. Your estrogen levels won't skyrocket just from eating 1 can of beans, 1 slice of bread, or from drinking just 1 beer. However, if your main source of protein is beans or you constantly go through 6 packs of beer then you're not doing your hormones any favors. Even in our vegetarian and vegan diet plans we list beans as a source of carbohydrates (as they do have much more carbs then protein) and we recommend other options for protein. But again the point is you can have any of these foods occasionally without overdoing it. Here's a list of some other foods that I didn't get a chance to mention in this video: 1. PROCESSED MEAT - Like refined sugar this is something you should do your best to eliminate from your diet. Not only is processed meat bad for your hormones, but it's also very unhealthy for you in general. CONVENTIONAL DAIRY PRODUCTS - The cows that go through conventional factory farming are injected with hormones and fed a horrible diet that makes them sick and unhealthy. CONVENTIONAL FACTORY FARMED MEAT - This is bad for your hormones for the same reason as the dairy products discussed above. Try to go for pasture raised, free range, and grass fed. Very hard to eat completely healthy these days. I felt strong and masculine eating a combination of Almonds, beef, chicken, Oats, brown rice, Whey, Greek Yogurt, moderate amounts of vegetables. Dark chocolate and occasionally peanuts. I have struggled with digestive problems for years and a Paleo Diet seemed to really help. However I now do a few hours of study/day on top of my full time job and the lower carb intake of Paleo just wasn't cutting it for brain function for me and so I gradually moved to the diet above. A few months later I met a Functional Medicine practitioner and I decided to work with her to completely heal my gut. Through stool, urine and blood testing it was determined that I had intolerances to most of the foods I listed above. As part of the protocol I had to eliminate most of these foods with the exception of the meats and veggies. For starches I could eat sweet potatoes, pumpkin, squash and beans. I can attest that my libido took a serious dive. I was also hungry constantly and felt like my life revolved around eating.
Lift weights, do cardio and avoid processed food(sausage,ham,milk) you be fine, balance your diet and you need all the nutrients. as much organic as possible

I disagree with beans. According to livestrong ‘s article “What foods boost testosterone” by Joshua Mccarron, beans are one of the foods that helps increase testosterone due to the protein and zinc nutrition found in beans such as kidney, black, pinto, chickpeas, and lentils.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t down sides to eating beans. I’m a 66 year old commercial diver and I consume 1Teaspoon of pure salt and a half teaspoon of salt with trace minerals every day. I have no HBP, no deficiencies in trace minerals, no health issues and it would be virtually impossible to have heart failure. Great video! I quit all of those last year, and combine it with gym training; I am losing 1 pound of fat per week! I am now at 161pounds, started at 185. I am 5”7” 37 years old. Basically I eat meat, veggies, rice, and 2-3 fruits everyday, averaging 2300 cal per day. And I also do intermittent fasting 16-8 (no “breakfast”)

The number in triangle is CRUCIAL. 01 is ok if You use it only once. 02 and 05 are best. 04 is good as well. 03, 06 and 07 are toxic. Especially 07 (OTHER) has BPA. What was mentioned about beer, processed food, and I guess bottled water (don’t consume anyway) are true. However, the other contents of this video are false. Phytoestrogens (plant-based estrogens) are only called estrogens because they have the same molecular structure as traditional estrogens. A lot of these studies have been proven contradictory. In moderation none of these foods will actually make a difference and if you've noticed, he's using one sentence from a bunch of studies. There are literally thousands of other studies that say the opposite and when it comes to bodybuilding and diet everybody contradicts eachother. Do this don't do that. Do that but, don't do this. What really matters at the end of the day is your consistency at the gym and amount of processed foods you eat. 1:29 I use non GMO Tamari. Tamari (ususaly) is made with the Japanese variety of the plant as well as having no wheat based additives like soy sauce and is fermented and has some benefit as a prebiotc. it is the GMO soybeans that are the main problem so if you cook with soy a lot this is a potential switch just make sure it is non GMO and read the ingredients and check for wheat additives *EDIT* I double checked my fridge and the San J brand is 100% Non GMO 100% SOY

I disagree with beans. According to livestrong ‘s article “What foods boost testosterone” by Joshua Mccarron, beans are one of the foods that helps increase testosterone due to the protein and zinc nutrition found in beans such as kidney, black, pinto, chickpeas, and lentils.
We never know what really is true now. This says it is bad. This says it is good. What now?

Great video! I quit all of those last year, and combine it with gym training; I am losing 1 pound of fat per week! I am now at 161pounds, started at 185. I am 5”7” 37 years old. Basically I eat meat, veggies, rice, and 2-3 fruits everyday, averaging 2300 cal per day. And I also do intermittent fasting 16-8 (no “breakfast”)

They do make bottled water that is BPA free just so you know. Surprisingly, PurAqua brand at Aldi's is one of them. 👍🏻
There are reports that there are other chemicals released by plastic into water. Just because we dont test for them yet doesnt mean it doesnt exist so why chance it. I use a all stainless steel bottle and save loads of money in the process.

There are other chemicals on plastic that mimic estrogen.
Soy/Soya - When phytoestrogens enter the body, the body’s estrogen receptors treat them as if they were estrogen. Therefore there will be no increase in actual estrogen.

Phytoestrogens (plant-based estrogens) are only called estrogens because they have the same molecular structure as traditional estrogens. A lot of these studies have been proven contradictory. In moderation none of these foods will actually make a difference and if you've noticed, he's using one sentence from a bunch of studies. There are literally thousands of other studies that say the opposite and when it comes to bodybuilding and diet everybody contradicts eachother. Do this don't do that. Do that but, don't do this. What really matters at the end of the day is your consistency at the gym and amount of processed foods you eat. Everything should be done in moderation and yes i eat beans everyday, no i dont have erectile dysfunction lmao

1:29 I use non GMO Tamari. Tamari (ususaly) is made with the Japanese variety of the plant as well as having no wheat based additives like soy sauce and is fermented and has some benefit as a prebiotc. it is the GMO soybeans that are the main problem so if you cook with soy a lot this is a potential switch just make sure it is non GMO and read the ingredients and check for wheat additives
*EDIT* I double checked my fridge and the San J brand is 100% Non GMO 100% SOY
