a 90 a70 supra is a good choice too! Super underated, the 7m gte version makes 238 hp stock and you can find one in fairly good condition for 8-10k, its dirt cheap for a high performance car because not a lot of people paid enough attention to it

While a cool car over all, when it comes to the 7mgte, plan on saving your pennies to disassemble the engine to have the block and head decked to the appropriate RA for an MLS head gasket. Be prepared for a ton of maintenance since they are old now. They will still handle pretty awful because of their surprisingly bad suspension geometry.

About half a year ago I was searching for a car to work on so I could fix it up by the time I can drive (i'm currently 13) Now I have a 1993 Foxbody Mustang Hatchback GT and although it isn't the quickest, It's really fun and the noises it makes are amazing.
I feel like a 2008- 2012 fusion sport deserved to be on here! (That’s what I drive) it’s fwd with 265 hp and it only weighs 3200 so it’s 0-60 is 6.2… its not the coolest thing on the planet but I think it’s a great starter if you want a sports car! Sounds surprisingly alright too
I love the RX7 FC and the idea of a rotary, but man am I mechanically illiterate. Can't have your cake and eat it too, I guess 😢

Sc300 comes with 2 engine configurations, the 2JZ (NA) and the 1UZ (NA v8) which it shares with the LS400 which imo is very slept on aswell. The LS400 looks so good lowered on some wheels and people run bags on them often. Not to mention the LS400 is well known to go over 500k miles reliable asf.
SC300 only comes with the 2jz. You’re thinking of the SC400

Dude I’d 100% buy and daily drive an SC400 if I wasn’t too broke to handle its abysmal gas mileage (also the fact that I want something I can drive year round/in winter as well and it’s RWD), it’s such a sick car

SN95 Mustang with the 3.8 V6 is really good for less than $10k. I have one and love it.

Good list but was surprised to see the Ultima on it but no B15 or B16 Nissan Sentra SER Spec - V. Both use an Ultima engine in a lighter car, both very underrated.

I actually think he should add 0-60 and torque numbers with what rpm the hp and torque are produced, most ppl don’t care about facts and are just looking at options or trying something new
Naw bro this is what a list should look like if you just want a reminder of all the cheap cars
I think when a list is made about cars with cheap upfront costs the cost of maintenance has to be included. Otherwise we end up with a Porsche Boxter and BMW 650 in the same list as a Honda Civic. The Boxter especially is an absolute nightmare to work with from what I've read, everything is squeezed so tightly.
The c280s a v6 btw the c36 was the inline from the previous years I also an amg actually bought a 98 last November she’s awesome and I really don’t see myself getting rid of it it’s supercharged with the sport as well picked it up for 2300 no rust just cosmetics and a little bit of ecu problems

Love my c5, It’s not just one of America’s best 90s cars but it has all the coolest features from the jdm legends! Targa from the Supra, rx7-ish styling, flip ups, round tails etc

I regret ever selling my rsx type s. Really wish would have held on to it. Bought it new and sold it after 220k trouble free modded miles! Still one of my fav cars I’ve driven

If you were to recommend a second hand sports car for a first time driver what would it be? (4 seater)
For a 4 seater I’d go with the BMW 335xi. They make 300hp, are AWD, are available in coupe, sedan, wagon, or convertible, are decently reliable as long as you get one w low miles and don’t up the boost too much, look good, sound good, ride good, have a nice interior, and most importantly, are still under $10k while being very fun and classy as well
c5 can get sideways too with its 50/50 weight distribution

instead of putting the accord on the list twice you couldve slid in the hyundai tiburon check it out! one of the most underrated and underpriced cars out there.
Diff generations of the same car are usually massively different which is why I do that sometimes, and yes you’re right the Tiburon is another good option, I’ve talked about it in some of my other vids before!

All of Honda's 4-cylinder cars since 2001 have had a K-series engine. Most of them just have "VTEC-E," which keeps a valve partially closed to improve fuel efficiency.
But yes, the K24A2 in the TSX (and the K20A2 in the RSX Type-S) are the performance engines and they have VTEC as we typically think about it.
Many might disagree, but if youre doing a K-swap...don't use just any K-series. I would get the K24A2 out of an 04-08 TSX, or K24A from Japan, and swap the K20A2 head onto it.

I WILL NOT STAND FOR THE E30 SLANDER, if taken care of its really reliable since there is basically nothing that can break and if it does its most likely a really quick fix and the parts are cheap too so its not an issue and speaking of comfortability i would say its really comfy and i say that after driving one across europe for 2500km and also i personally love the interior and prefer it to modern cars even tho you said its outdated.
Well outdated doesn’t always mean bad, some ppl are into classic interiors which is totally fine, and yes I know they can be reliable but let’s be real here, it’s gonna be pretty hard to find a reliable one w no issues nowadays haha

Tc is slept on idc I push that baby daily, never had any check engine light, I be pushing 90-100mph consistently not a smooth ride but a fun one, honestly if u do simple mods ands tunes the tc is a very nice car, I have beaten Hondas, Volkswagens, bmws, a 300…maybe it’s just me tho🤷♂️might turbo mines or end up engine swapping if anyone has ideas on that lmk

I have a budget of $7,000 for my first car and I really want to get a BMW but kinda scared because of what everyone says with the reliability. I plan on mostly daily driving this car tho. What bmw would you guys suggest?
Are you willing to do maintenance if you fix things up your self you would save a bunch of money. About the reliability, literarily everything is made of plastic in a bmw which is why they break so much

Any of the naturally aspirated straight 6’s from bmw are usually decent so like 328i or 330i E46, 328i or 325i E36 I would say are two of the best options. Just watch out for those subframes lol
