I have never related to a video more. Thank you for sharing your experience of doubt and acceptance. I struggled for a long time just like you with those feelings and I finally took the plunge and started T. I am now about three weeks on T and not much has changed, but the weight lifted off my chest each week with each injection tells me I made the right choice, and one day I’ll make it just like you. Thank you Aaron!
I've recently learned about trans people from other YTers. I'm not super great with all the pronouns and lingo yet, but I'm learning. One thing that sets you apart, is I feel you're so genuine. Your videos are as much for you as they are for us. It's like a diary that people can read for insight into you and your life. I really dig your style. Thanks for sharing this, I can relate so much with everything you mention. I'm almost eight months on T and although I love all of the physical changes, the psychological ones are just as important, and maybe even more. All of my life I felt like there was some sort of barrier between me and the other people, it kept me from being treated like a human and often made me feel like I was part of the furniture. I was very anxious about starting T because it was the first time I was going against my family's wishes, and I didn't know if I had it in me to fight without them by my side. But I did it, and I couldn't be more glad that I did (even if it meant getting dump by my partner). I can also relate to feel exhausted now, something that I couldn't point down until I heard it coming from you. I now understand it's due to all the effort the past year took on me. I wish you all the best xx

no hormones, no top surgery just stuck in the uncomfortable body constantly called a bearded lady.
I know it will change one day, know I'll find common folks someday but it's so hard to keep hope.

So, I cried at a couple other points as well, but that was the one to break the dam. (Damn, son. The feels.) I've been really struggling lately, but knowing that I share similar struggles with others like yourself has made it at least bearable. I want so badly to experience the feelings I quoted above, and watching videos like this makes it feel possible.
Thank you for all you do, both with Chase and on your own. You've come so far, and I'm so grateful that you've been sharing your journey with us sprouts.

Dude I fucking feel you. I passed my one year on T this past January as well and I was exhausted. I couldn't even make a video about it until April. It was very hard to be present even though I was proud of how far I had come. But I'm happy to say that 6 months later I'm feeling like I am actually recovering and finally feeling the freedom of being me, outside and in. Thanks for this video, it is always a bit comforting to hear that others are feeling the same. Best of luck to you and sending positive vibes your way!

With family that don't accept, but one friend that stands by my side, I know I can get through this. What you said reinforced the role my best friend has been for me when you spoke about Chase, and I was able to point and say "that's what you are for me".

What an incredible video. I connect with a lot of the things that you have said in the video. I'm pre-t and have been out for the past three years in high school and have honestly been completely miserable. All of my family has told me that by delaying college and going on hormones the moment I turn 18 this summer I will be making a huge mistake, and it has really messed with my head lately. Thank you for putting yourself out there and help other trans guys like me to realize that there is still hope

I'm sitting here anxious as fuck about to make a doctor's appointment (luckily I can do it online so that helps a little) in order to try to start my transition. You and Chase are helping me so much. I probably wouldn't have been at this point where I feel like I'm certain enough that I can go through it without you guys... even if I'm hella anxious about every little possible negative aspect about transitioning. Thank you so much. Really.

This video is amazing. It's so beautiful! I'm really, really happy and proud for you. I have quite a ways from starting T, at least five years, but knowing that some day I'll finally be me, it keeps me going. I don't have a therapist, because almost every single kid in this town thinks that they're trans. I think it's kind of funny that so many kids would think that they are trans, but I also think it's awesome because they're exploring their gender, and that's great. But, I can deal with the name calling and the excluding, but the more they do it, the longer I have to wait, the more drained and exhausted I get. Every day I'm more and more not there. But I got a girlfriend, and that's awesome. She also wants me to start on T, because she can't wrap her head around how much insecurity I get when I'm around other teenage boys with their deep voice and facial hair and I'm there with my round face and high voice and bumpy chest. Yeah, she's great. She's the only person who sees me as a boy.
Maybe this should be my sign that I need to go on another year as well. Who knows what'll happen in another 12 months?

Words can't really express how much I appreciate the level on which you address the mental health aspects. I know it comes up a lot, and people *have* to touch on it, for obvious reasons, but you cover it in ways that are really underrated. And you talk about a lot of the stuff that most prefer to leave out, or keep to themselves, because it's easier to leave certain thoughts and feelings in the dark. So thank you

i know this video was uploaded almost a year ago so you’ll probably never see this, but like,, thank you for existing. this video brought up a lot of points that hit close to home but i never hear trans guys talk about (ex. about losing credibility w cis people, only having name and pronouns pre t). it was nice to hear that someone else has the same thought process. keep doing what you’re doing 💛

To articulate and discuss your mental/emotional challenges and triumphs not only helps reduce the stigma but really makes a connection.
