Holy shit, I'm so glad someone else felt the same way about the whole "testosterone anger" thing. I was so short-tempered before hormones, and once starting testosterone and actually seeing/feeling changes, I mellowed out so damn much. In the four years I've been on testosterone, I've only "flipped my shit" once, which was a damn near daily thing before testosterone. Haha.
Women have a much tougher time in terms of mood swings than men because of their menstrual cycle. Yes, men have a lot more testosterone but their hormones are normally very stable. A woman's hormones ebb and flow and can make life an emotional roller coaster.

The emotional transition that trans people go through is super important. Being comfortable with your body/gender is one thing but I feel like being comfortable being around other people - especially as your body and presentation changes can be very stressful. Best of luck as you work on your social skills, Alex. I'm working on it too. Making connections and friendships and building a wider support system can be daunting but in the long run, it's going to make us happier and healthier people

SRI HARI a straight female is a female attracted to men. I don't mean to be rude but I don't appreciate people in the LGBTQA community trying to disregard the terms for hetro people. I get hit on by what men consider attractive and hot women often. I get offered 3 somes often. My answer is always NO. I pretty much hate men BUT I'm still physically attracted to them and not women in the least. This is why I find the FTM in the video attractive because it appears to be a man to me. I would not find a MTF attractive at all. This is straight I am straight. I'm not flexible on this for any reason it is what it is. Those people who don't realize it or whatever is their upbringing. I knew what gay was my entire life because my mother had nothing but gay male friends. My parents met at a gay club because my dad is a player and knew there'd be straight women there all for him. I was born in the late 80's so it was before all the gay pride stuff. Some people grow up in homes where this doesn't exist. In their world there is no such thing as gay just straight. I knew what gay was since I was 4 years old because of my mother. Didn't change what I am because it was shown to me as normal. Gays and straight people were the same to me growing up. I pretty much grew up around gay men. I really can't stand them now because they all seem narcissistic. So it's my own personal opinion even though my mother loved them. I don't dislike gay males because they are gay but I've never met one who had a decent personality. My BFF is a lesbo but doesn't believe in gay marriage. Everything isn't cookie cutter. She doesn't tell her family though because hers like most families unlike mine do not accept it. I wouldn't date a transman though. I wouldn't know this was a female before by looking. I don't think highly of born men anyway. This is how I know I'm straight because I don't even want to like men at all. The idea of being with a woman sexually annoys and disgusts me. Everything I like about men they don't have. Everything I'd hate to see in a man is what women have. These videos are for learning. I made the comment halfway joking. But they look attractive as a man. They look like a man and it's crazy seeing how the male hormones change so much of everything. It's why men are sliver back apes. He took well to the T because I can usually tell FTM because even when some women have been on T for years. Their voice is always OFF.

Hi Alex, Congratulations on your physical transition, you look fantastic and your happiness shines through! I don't know if I am qualified to give advice but I have had many social struggles as well, and one thing I have learned is to give myself credit for every positive experience I have. I can look back and say 'I took a chance and spoke to this person and it went well, sometimes even taking a risk of saying something to someone can spark a whole conversation in a group. I have had social anxiety and have had help with it and taking a risk and seeing how it turns out can be a wonderful experience. just be yourself, there is only one you and you can see from all the comments on your video that lots of people are enjoying listening to your story and are very happy for you. You are very well spoken too.I am older FTM, starting T soon, and I am so happy to hear that T hasn't made you any more aggressive, rather more at peace with yourself. Yo alex! So happy for you, you seem so much brighter in your speech, body language, and interactions with others I've seen in a few videos. There was one thing you said about not wanting to get a job because of dysphoria/anxiety. I have one job now, shit pay, but I still live with my parents, so it's not immediately imperative I get a second/third job, but I mentioned this to my mom. She asked me am I looking for a job, because I have supposedly been looking for a second job since back in February. And I reflected on why I haven't been looking at all, and it's mostly anxiety about going to work and not 100% passing all the time. Before I go to work, I have to basically have 3 hours where I don't do anything before. I have to shower and cool off enough to put my binder on, and then hum and stuff to deepen my voice, and keep my anxiety manageable. I told my mom about neglecting to get a job basically because of dysphoria and fear of not passing, and having to explain the situation, or just don't and have anxiety of whether they know or not. BUT at the same time, I don't have enough income to support starting testosterone, meaning I need another job first to get on T, but I won't feel comfortable enough to get another job before I start T so...? Yeah not sure if I'm asking for advice or just venting. I'd love to hear back from you or many of the other fans here if they feel that what they say will help. Anything is appreciated. Been struggling with this. Thanks!

I'm genuinely so very happy for you Alex! Seeing you hit your one year mark gives me more hope, as I'm in the process of waiting and have been for about 2 and a half years now. Within the next few months I'm supposed to get the phone call to begin the process of starting t and couldn't be more anxiously awaiting that day. Anyhow it's just really nice and reassuring to see that you were in a similar situation and have come so far

The emotional transition that trans people go through is super important. Being comfortable with your body/gender is one thing but I feel like being comfortable being around other people - especially as your body and presentation changes can be very stressful.
Best of luck as you work on your social skills, Alex. I'm working on it too. Making connections and friendships and building a wider support system can be daunting but in the long run, it's going to make us happier and healthier people

Oops since you said you were a "straight female" i thought you didn't know.But what the hell is a "straight" female anyway nowadays lol. Even a lot of lesbians claim to be "straight" without realizing they are lesbian later in life.
SRI HARI a straight female is a female attracted to men. I don't mean to be rude but I don't appreciate people in the LGBTQA community trying to disregard the terms for hetro people. I get hit on by what men consider attractive and hot women often. I get offered 3 somes often. My answer is always NO. I pretty much hate men BUT I'm still physically attracted to them and not women in the least. This is why I find the FTM in the video attractive because it appears to be a man to me. I would not find a MTF attractive at all. This is straight I am straight. I'm not flexible on this for any reason it is what it is.
Those people who don't realize it or whatever is their upbringing. I knew what gay was my entire life because my mother had nothing but gay male friends. My parents met at a gay club because my dad is a player and knew there'd be straight women there all for him. I was born in the late 80's so it was before all the gay pride stuff. Some people grow up in homes where this doesn't exist. In their world there is no such thing as gay just straight. I knew what gay was since I was 4 years old because of my mother. Didn't change what I am because it was shown to me as normal. Gays and straight people were the same to me growing up. I pretty much grew up around gay men. I really can't stand them now because they all seem narcissistic. So it's my own personal opinion even though my mother loved them. I don't dislike gay males because they are gay but I've never met one who had a decent personality. My BFF is a lesbo but doesn't believe in gay marriage. Everything isn't cookie cutter. She doesn't tell her family though because hers like most families unlike mine do not accept it. I wouldn't date a transman though. I wouldn't know this was a female before by looking. I don't think highly of born men anyway. This is how I know I'm straight because I don't even want to like men at all. The idea of being with a woman sexually annoys and disgusts me. Everything I like about men they don't have. Everything I'd hate to see in a man is what women have.
These videos are for learning. I made the comment halfway joking. But they look attractive as a man. They look like a man and it's crazy seeing how the male hormones change so much of everything. It's why men are sliver back apes. He took well to the T because I can usually tell FTM because even when some women have been on T for years. Their voice is always OFF.

Hi Alex, Congratulations on your physical transition, you look fantastic and your happiness shines through! I don't know if I am qualified to give advice but I have had many social struggles as well, and one thing I have learned is to give myself credit for every positive experience I have. I can look back and say 'I took a chance and spoke to this person and it went well, sometimes even taking a risk of saying something to someone can spark a whole conversation in a group. I have had social anxiety and have had help with it and taking a risk and seeing how it turns out can be a wonderful experience. just be yourself, there is only one you and you can see from all the comments on your video that lots of people are enjoying listening to your story and are very happy for you. You are very well spoken too.I am older FTM, starting T soon, and I am so happy to hear that T hasn't made you any more aggressive, rather more at peace with yourself. I have heard that from another FTM but it still makes me happy to hear it from you (one of my concerns re T). Great video! Thank you for sharing.

When I first stumbled upon your vids nearly 3 years ago I hardly knew what the word transgender meant let alone non binary ftm dysphoria etc etc. What I did know is that I finally had words to describe my feelings and for that I thank you! Yo alex! So happy for you, you seem so much brighter in your speech, body language, and interactions with others I've seen in a few videos.
There was one thing you said about not wanting to get a job because of dysphoria/anxiety. I have one job now, shit pay, but I still live with my parents, so it's not immediately imperative I get a second/third job, but I mentioned this to my mom. She asked me am I looking for a job, because I have supposedly been looking for a second job since back in February.
And I reflected on why I haven't been looking at all, and it's mostly anxiety about going to work and not 100% passing all the time. Before I go to work, I have to basically have 3 hours where I don't do anything before. I have to shower and cool off enough to put my binder on, and then hum and stuff to deepen my voice, and keep my anxiety manageable.
I told my mom about neglecting to get a job basically because of dysphoria and fear of not passing, and having to explain the situation, or just don't and have anxiety of whether they know or not.
BUT at the same time, I don't have enough income to support starting testosterone, meaning I need another job first to get on T, but I won't feel comfortable enough to get another job before I start T so...?
Yeah not sure if I'm asking for advice or just venting. I'd love to hear back from you or many of the other fans here if they feel that what they say will help. Anything is appreciated. Been struggling with this. Thanks!

man I struggle with that confidence problem but what makes me feel a lil less nervous when talking to people is that everybody else has this problem as well and there's no person who is 100% confident
