Ground loop issue, common in car audio, just means you have a poor ground somewhere. If it existed prior to installing this it might be a headunit issue, the preamp can produce static as its going out. If this only appeared after installing it means one of the grounds have a poor connection.
Whats up Julian. No man i never had a fuse blown because of the head unit. You should check the the butt connectors if you use any. If you did and find it a little loose, get rid of it and connect wire to wire and use heat shrink tubes instead.

The aftermarket screen works perfect but the old screen on the bottom now doesn’t turn on 😢 problem with the extension? But wouldn’t that mean the mew screen shouldn’t be on as well?
The harness to the screen has nothing to do with the extension for the clock screen. Some come together as a unit just to keep it simple but they are 2 different connectors. I would say its the extension. When you have everything out turn on the car to see if it works. A lot of times the extension is too short and when you put everything back because its under tension the extension gets pulled and gets disconnected. If that its the case you have to play around with the wires so that when you assemble everything the extension have a little bit of play so its not pulling. Also put it back to stock to check that the screen its not damaged. It’s very unlikely to happen but it can.
Test it before putting it in its new location meaning with the radio out turn the car on and see if it works. If it does and when you put everything in its place it doesn’t. It may be that the harness its too precise in length so you have to play with it because its getting disconnected when you put everything in place. sometimes they are very precise in length and when it gets disconnected when put back together. Also check that the harness is not getting jammed. But if it doesn’t turn on when you testing it (before put in place) than the harness is bad. Talk to the seller so they can send you a new one. Brother some cars have an amplifier and if it is not getting power you will get no sound. Look on the back of the head unit to see if you find an amp wire. Usually it is going to be blue with a white stripe but make sure because the radio antenna is also blue. If with you were giving extra set of harnesses check them too because a lot of time one is for cars without amplifier and the other one has the extra amp wire. When you find it connect it to a positive from the OEM harness that would a red wire you can use a t trap to make it easier.
