      I hope to GOD that they do come back in a limited fashion. I get it dedicating the time and resources but shit man !!!!! I think the problem with content today is people inhale it as it’s made and you’re expecting more and more. I would be lucky to get a hand full of episodes in a year. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

    Tbh I don't think the show ended on a good note. I am 100% sure that it was fully bankrolled by Bamford and when he realised that it doesn't do anything for his business he pulled the plug, not even bothered to bring everyone together for a final episode. You can tell that both Adrian and Andrew were a bit aghast and disappointed in their last video(s).

    It’s was pure entertainment from the chemistry between the actors and their bias towards certain brands. It was slightly frustrating in that the subject matter kept repeating itself and there was a real missed opportunity to dive into the archives and educate the masses about past horological great (I’m a massive 70’s Omega fanboy). Personally I thought that many of the comments to the show were unkind and become too personal which perhaps may have affected the actors (George especially)? It’s a great miss and I do hope the guys get back together for the occasional show.

  • @daniell2217
    @daniell2217 28 дней назад

    Personally, I loved AET. Looked forward to every episode. IMO, GB’s insecurities undid it. GB’s money allows him to avoid all but the most pleasant ‘work’, to bankroll products no one asks for or wants, and to purchase sycophantic accolades. Unfortunately, it cannot buy the talent to become the artist GB clearly wishes he was. I think AB and AM eventually tired of pretending GB’s ‘artistic viewpoint’ was a valuable contribution. GB then got offended b/c his artistic merit wasn’t being given its due deference, and he withdrew his financial support.

Then there was a huge part that was dedicated to self-promotion or praising one of the other guys' business, be it straps, watches or media and it was done in a very obvious, over-the-top manner. A bit of a circle jerk. Don't get me wrong, I like the guys, the podcast just wasn't for me.

    Bamford - given his super caked-up background - was actually ok but he did need to invest in a Roget’s Thesaurus and bone up before each show. Which he didn’t. Bit lazy. The A & A were fine but, although there were overtones of the original Top Gear format, they didn’t gel. No matter. Onwards and upwards. I’ll keep watching Adrian. Andrew needs to re-set. And none of us need to worry Mr Bamford, do we: he’ll survive, I suspect 😉

  • @MarketingGuy

    It's pretty obvious in the last About Effing Time video that Bamford has broken everything up. Listen to the way they say their goodbyes.
    I have had it confirmed by a source very close to the guys, without even asking directly about it, that it was George. He just didn't have time for EFT. I quote "George is a big shot". Andrew and Adrian should move on and do their own podcast/show. Andrew is doing it right now with the "Time+Tide Tribe" channel.
    I'm pretty sure it was one of the motivators for Andrew to move to the UK and he genuinely loved their community.
