You hit the nail on the head. I have watched her audition so many times. I know what she is going through. Not wanting to fail anyone. Of people thinking I'm useless or a failure. It took me half my life to figure out it doesn't matter what other people think of me. That I only have to live my life for me. Not others. She is so beautiful inside and out. I truly hope she has found her peace. Her voice gave me goosebumps and truly calmed my soul.

I just loved this. When she began to sing it was simply amazing. You look at her body expressions and you picture her in a lounge in a pencil skirt and cashmere sweater accompanied by a pianist on a baby grand. Just beautiful. Where’s my rocker?!

She went to BGT telling herself she's worthless??? Dang!! She's got some "balls" for sure! I'm so proud of her. I hope the person that made her feel this way was tied to a chair and forced to watch her performance for 48 hrs straight. I got emotional watching this... she didn't tell anyone about her performance because she wanted to prove someone wrong and she did it the best possible way. Unfortunately those "I freaking did it! I've made it! Who's laughing now?!" moments are shortlasting. She probably told herself she's worthless the next day (ask me how I know....). This is sad 🥺 I really hope she's doing well. She's great! Loved the reaction as always.
Alice also appeared on The Voice around the same time as this and this audition proved to be a beautiful one off whilst she was Ok she couldn't perform this well consistently and she didn't sound as good in her time on The Voice.

Unfortunately you will not see much more of Alice as she was eliminated in the semi finals in 2013. Alice did release an album called Under the Covers in 2015/2016 only after doing a fund me page which I have with a signed photo . Since then she has disappeared from the music industry and keeps a really private life. I love her voice as do many and would love to hear new music but I think that is not going to happen unfortunately. Someone somewhere missed a potential superstar.
She also went on The Voice and whilst she has a smokey tone her technique needed alot of work and she often would sound pitchy she also didn't perform with as much emotional engagement and sincerity on The Voice as she did during this BGT audition and ended up being eliminated alot sooner, she is good but not great and there are much better jazz and blue-eyed soul singers out there like Angelina Jordan and Duffy etc... I just hope whatever Alice is doing with her life nowadays she's happy and has more belief in herself. ❤
I think you're correct. She has a serious confidence problem which has been caused by who knows what. The unfortunate thing is that she gave the music industry up. She could have been massive. I hope she finds happiness in whatever road she chooses.

Similarly, regarding the comments section, I am personally too deep into the ' Alice ' scenario to be objective. Suffice it to say, however, that to the best of my knowledge Alice is living a secluded life somewhere in France. I would like to suggest that you and your viewers seek out, on U-tube, Alice's studio recording ( I don't remember the year ) of the wonderful Prince song, ' How Come You Don' t Call Me Anymore ? ' IT is a black and white video, in a quite intimate setting, and there is Alice, arms flailing, as on the BGT stage, and filling the room with her emotion. For Alice, singing is a full body experience, there are few to compare. I know you will appreciate this performance. KiaOra

Looking it up, a beauty therapist is a salon person who provides beauty advise and recommendations, and, according to the description I read, upsells beauty products the salon. In any event it is a job in which you have to be comfortable with public contact, ot you will not survive it very long. After Sydnie and this one, I'm beginning to think the theme of BGT 2020 something is self-deprecation and acting skills, but hey, them's that pays the bills, gets to set the rules. On the other hand, Alice does appear to have disappeared in December of 2017, so she was drawing from a pretty deep well
