Another Master Class performance from Lucy, She has vocal and visual perfection. As she says she won it all , no time for less. Thank you for another great reaction
Lucys voice....her tone and colour is unmatched. Her singingskills is masterclass and beyond. She is simply a wordlclass vocalist. Beautiful from inside and out. She`s got it all. I wish her all the best in the future. Thank you for putting some great light on Lucy Thomas. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.
I hope, Chris, either before or subsequently, that you played this video all the way through - in order to fully appreciate the perfection with which this cover was delivered! I got the chills from the first 'one moment in time' 60 seconds in (where you made your first interuption) - chills that remained with me until after the end of this 5 minute masterpeice! Very few, if any, other vocalists today have the ability to do what Lucy has achieved here! I am, like all Lucy supporters, frustrated by the slow pace of public recognition for this unique talent, but maybe this is all to Lucy's ultimate benefit and potential longevity?
Hello Chris, thank you for your lovely reaction to Lucy singing " One Moment In Time " this is such a remarkable cover from the Great Whitney Houston Classic, Lucy again makes it her own she is just an amazing singer /performer she is just so good. Take care, Barbara.
The whole idea of this song 'is' the gradual build up in order to shadow the build up into winning the gold medal & Lucy does that perfectly,I have listened to this song by Lucy on so many occasions & it still gives me the shivers & that is something W.H.'s has never done for me,Lucy is extraodinary, yes the high & low notes are beautiful, but it is also the subtle changes she makes in her delivery of each song that seems to be so natural to her!,& on top of that she is such a beautiful soul!😊
I agree she has everything needed to be a world famous performer but I am happier to see her steady growth and development the media is full of superstars that the public left behind and moved onto the next.big thing. She is building the rock solid base for a lifetime career. And It's not like she is unknown and she has a large dedicated following.
Well Chris, I will be at that concert, all the way from Adelaide, South Australia to see this once in a lifetime vocalist. This song is a very long song at over 5 minutes and there is no way to shorten it without corrupting it, which Lucy would never do. It takes time to build to the magnificent crescendo that Lucy delivers. I agree with you that Lucy deserves the fame and fortune that will, in time, come her way. Thank you for your entertaining reactions and ongoing support of Lucy.
Larry, since Lucy tends to make songs her own with a few personal touches it makes her unpredictable sometimes. Example: You said "here we go" but she didn't. However she did really hit a little further down the line. As-far-as reaching up, Lucy tends to be conservative of her voice so she does not reach to the extreme. But the emotion in her voice and body language gives added feeling without reaching or screeching. This is a very silky-smooth rendition; brings chills and tears to me( as usual ).
Thank you Chris for again providing support for Lucy. It is frustrating that the world is as yet unaware of what Lucy is capable of and yet I think Lucy, her family and Chris Broom (Cavendish records) have it well in hand and it will happen, gradually and in a way designed to avoid the pitfalls some others that have rushed to the top have suffered. In the meantime we are so privileged to be able to follow and support, as we can, this outstanding young lady and her unique talent.
Yes Lucy will get there in her own time,it has been a gradual build up over several yrs & that is the best way,the day will come when Lucy will be delivered to the world, can't wait for all those that still don't know about her to hear what they have been missing!😊
Hi Chris So glad you got around to this What an absolute perfect flawless rendition of this iconic song . I thought after Unchained melody she couldn't get any better But boy was I wrong she brings us this master class of musical ability. Lucy is untouchable and deserves to be known Worldwide. I think this concert in London is the one that is going to launch her .They have pulled out all the stops for this she will have a full 30 piece orchestra and the venue there is not better place in the World than Andrew Lloyd Webber´s Theatre Royal right in the heart of the West End. This is the venue people dream of performing If you make it here your made. And I am pleased to say I have tickets for this show I missed Manchester But I would not miss this for the World and of Course I will let you know how it goes Chris. I am sure she will get to California. Thanks for this great reaction stay safe mate.
I felt the need to compare the 20 years old Lucy with the 25 year old Whitney Houston. Granted, they both can sing (lol) but Lucy's voice is noticeably richer and just plain more gorgeous than Whitney's voice ever became. And Whitney's was fantastic.
Yes indeed, many will argue against your sumation Re:Lucy & W.H. but they will be plain wrong!,Lucy is extrodinary!,can't say she is the finest vocalist out there, but she is certainly 'my' favourite!😊
I just started the video and I’ve never heard Lucy, so this REALLY set my expectations! 😂 and the disrespect on Whitney is a no no… depending on how I feel after this lol
@@jacobshipman5579 Well that comment is inherently subjective. Lucy's voice has gotten richer as she matured. As for disrespect, Karen Carpenter was my all time vote for best voice for fifty years, and then along came Lucy. lol Everyone in the world is free to like the most whom they like the most, and for me it's Lucy Thomas.
Your dog analogy is amusing. I prefer the horse analogy "Chomping at the bit" but Lucy seems to create this slow increase in intensity through the song, which has become her trade mark to whatever song she sings. It's almost expected now. Great reaction Chris, as usual.
I agree the world does not know her yet. It will be interesting to see how and where she takes her singing career. She does have the song "Brand New Day" for the forth coming TV series and Rosie the Musical that she is involved in. She is singing in London at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in October. As good as she is, I do not know that she will necessarily have the broad appeal of a Taylor Swift but she certainly has her niche. If she only does covers and musicals she will be limited in her exposure I believe. If she goes real mainstream and starts doing her own pop songs or something akin to it, she will get much more exposure and fans. I would love to see somebody do an updated live studio interview with her about her career so far and to ask some real probing personal questions so that we can get to know her more and get a glimpse of where she wants to go. Right now she can write her own ticket. She may not want to blow up and become real famous.
Lucy doesn't need to take most of her cloths off on stage. She let's her singing do the job--- an outstanding job. Also let's be honest, Lucy would sing these pop stars under the table -- no topless dancers in the background as a distraction, just a great voice!! I think after Rosie, I see her getting some good songwriters together for some original work. At twenty years old, she has a lot of time to experiment with her art!
I want to hear Lucy sing Whitney's, "Didn't We Almost Have It All?" ... That is my Favorite song by Whitney. I can't picture Lucy singing that last line any less as beautiful as Whitney.
Seoul Olympics Song in 1988, by Whitney Houston, Listen to the Lyrics of this Iconic Song, all about the Athlete's ONE MOMENT IN TIME, Lucy just KILLED IT
You keep working on that adjective. I realized about six months ago you can search and search but the word hasn't been invented to describe Miss Lucy. Perfection falls short so good luck.
Est ce que vous avez oublié Angelina Jordan? 😁 if l were a boy...acapella.....et Bad valentine...un original....elle travaille presentement avec Toby Gad....bonne soirée.
Lucy did the song proud and I think no person can do it better. But... Lucy's magical voice didn't help for me this time (sorry Lucy, it is NOT your fault!). I can't explain why that is, but I just do not like this song.
I have actually daydreamed about a show with Dimash and Lucy singing duets. Can you imagine? Evidently I can! LOL Duke, an old hippie.
So excited that I've managed to book tickets for her concert in October.

Yes indeed!😊
Lucys performances perfectly flaweless that every moment will takes your breathless away.
Yes Larry, you so said. Lucy is clearly one of the best vocalists in the world. Pure, precise and great power.
Her vocals are effortless. Softness and power, clarity and pitch and the best lower register of all female vocalists I have heard. ❤

You should go to England and see her in concert this October.

I can watch Lucy for hours.
Simply exquisite ✨
Has matured beautifully
Finally.I was waiting to see your reaction and response
I ❤ Lucy

Great as always 😊
👋😊
I'll be there on 22nd October and I'll be seeing her at a Meet & Greet session the next day.
Please say a sincere hello for me.
Hopelessly smitten in the mitten.
I still haven't come down from the concert and meet and greet. I haven't got words to describe how good it was.

Would love to see you react to Happy Ending by Mike Stud, amazing reaction and video as always Larry!
Well......hello there😊
Hello to you too mu friend! Hope your weekend was a blessed one!
👋🤗❤️
Lucy Thomas has completely replaced Whitney Elizabeth Houston and gives her the hound in this song
Have you heard Lucy doing I Dream a Dream from Les Mis :-)
Yes, I just released the reaction! GREAT cover!
Hey Larry, you need to react to Hanumkind - Big Dawgs
Larry why are you so late on Lucy Thomas reviews. "I Dreamed a Dream Gone Bye"
Est ce que vous avez oublié Angelina Jordan? 😁 if l were a boy...acapella.....et Bad valentine...un original....elle travaille presentement avec Toby Gad....bonne soirée.
Angelina WHO?
@henkhessel3fine vocalist,but not Lucy!651
Great review. My only complaint is Lucy's volume is extremely low.
Our Lucy is not a racehorse Neither is she a dog. Behave. 🤣
Ha, ha. But possibly a well trained thoroughbred.
lol!

She's a lovely singer, but until she has some real life emotional experience she's just a great singer but not exceptional.
