Lucy's pitch control really stands out in this one. Several long holds of notes and not a waver to be found. A lot of singers drift up or go flat but Lucy hangs right on to the pitch and then slides right on into her vibrato seamlessly. Outstanding. Chill inducing again. MORE: Once again, that very last note after bringing us down to earth again was so soft and smooth it pierces right through me. It's like the cherry on top or the period and the end of a fantastic rendition.

Lucy has a family support system. Shes a perfectionest, and a beautiful soul. Going to college and looking towards a education. Her song Hallelujah is played in the Movie A Wing And A Prayer, during the rescue landing of the plane, also credits at the end. So proud of her. Thank you for an amazing and accurate review of Lucy's latest song. I agree, Lucy is in top tier performing today. Her technical singing skills are beyond what most professionals with decades of experience have. Her enunciation, pronunciation, note placement, is crystal clear. We as listeners don't have to wonder what did Lucy just say. Her breath control is so transparent, we never see her take even a short breath.
Some of her long holds, especially when she goes full forte, have listeners wanting to take a breath for her. Lucy can move between chest and head effortlessly and transparently. Amazing vocal range with complete pitch control regardless of low or high. Her vibrato never varies more than a 1/4 note above or below base pitch. She can even deliver perfect vibrato when she is mouthing sounds. Try singing ooohhh's and aaahhh's like her.
Lucy Thomas has so much talent that it can't be contained. Just when we think there can be no more surprises, Lucy shows us her incredible vocal finesse and a new singing style. I lost count how many different and distinct genres and styles Lucy can perform flawlessly. Never put Lucy in a box.
It is refreshing to see and hear real talent. Especially in today's flood of talent-less performances on the internet. So many rely on gimmicks or hide in studio. Auto-tune and lackluster physical deliveries that make us scratch our heads.
Lucy Thomas has real talent and it not afraid to use it. 1 mic, 1 camera, 1 take start to finish. Her physical delivery connects in a deep and emotional way with her listeners. There is something to knowing you are good and knowing you belong but expressing it correctly to a camera is an art that one has to learn. Lucy is loosening up and she will be unstoppable when it’s done. There are already moments in some of her songs where she gives the camera a seriousness and listen to me look that gives me chills. I think Lucy and Martha will retain their balance in life and not fall into the pitfalls that so many promising young talents have fallen into. In my opinion, Lucy transcends the current list of young artists that are out there today. Hi Larry...Yes, don't let it go to your head but I think you are an excellent reactor. You believe every word that you express. There is no pretending here. I really do like the passion with which you appreciate Lucy. I don't think she is going to be tarnished by fame. First of all, her family has provided loads of love on both Lucy and Martha. Secondly, she was raised with Christian values. Thirdly, she has grown up on the family ranch and is a country girl. And lastly, she is in very good hands with Chris Broom who himself is a Christian. And furthermore, Lucy has a pure heart and an Angelic soul. Put all that is a beautiful package with astounding talent and you have a genuinely humble Lucy. Her focus, passionate expressiveness and commitment are icing on the cake. And yes, all the other Divas out there have their work cut out for them as Lucy begins to set foot on the world stage.

Riffs and Runs are common in certain genres. Some famous singers are known for giant ones up, down, and all over the scale. It can be distracting and even exhausting to the listeners. It is Vocal Gymnastics with each singer trying to outdo the other.
Lucy’s precise note placement, perfect enunciation, and physical delivery are so crystal clear that listeners never have to wonder what she just said or meant. Listeners are not left wondering where this is going. Fans already know that Lucy treats each song as a Novel, having a beginning, middle, and end. New listeners will immediately be able to relate and know exactly where they are in Lucy’s story she is telling us through her singing. Many of us don't want the Story to end.
Lucy has a very unique technical vocal skill. It is used effectively several times in “Brand New Day”. I first noticed it several years ago in a different song when Lucy was younger. It was so unique that I pointed it out to Lucy. I am so pleased that she is using it again, and it has only gotten better. Then warm ups with perfect Riffs and Runs that add, not distract
Prelude at 00:50 simple run then start of LTA at 00:58 (and tomorrow)
LTA at 2:07(and tomorrow) a short run and another LTA at 2:10 finishing phrase (tomorrow)
Perfect key change, more perfect scales
Perfect run at 2:40, another perfect LTA at 2:46 (and tomorrow)
More perfect key changes, slight runs, perfect LTA at 3:25 (and tomorrow)
Lucy can effortlessly change key or jump an octave or more.
She finishes and we won’t forget the performance we just witnessed.
Notes about Riffs and Runs:
Riffs and Runs can be overused and actually distract from the performance. I call it Vocal Gymnastics and they can exhaust the listeners. The sounds tend to be muddy and the listener is not sure where the song is headed. Riffs and Runs are more common is certain genres and some singers are known for giant ones all over the scale. Many other singers abuse it to cover up their sloppy singing.
Notes on LTA (Lucy Thomas Accentuation):
This vocal technique requires extremely precise note placement, more precise enunciation, and more precise performance skills. Riffs and Runs can be learned with practice. The LTA Technique is far more difficult.
In LTA vocal technique, each individual note is distinct. Pitch can go both up or down and often goes both ways within same word or phrase. The individual notes are short, maybe 1/16th's or even 1/32's but can be longer. The notes are very precise and you can hear each note easily and distinctly. Also the notes may not be in same order on scale and can jump between notes.
Even the volume can jump up or down between individual notes. I have heard it performed with words and phrases, even when mouthing sounds. Add perfect vibrato on top, you will immediately notice the difference between LTA versus Riffs and Runs.
You will remember LTA (Lucy Thomas Accentuation) as a new baseline measurement for real talent. Less than 1 percent of singers can perform it, over 99 percent cannot. The fact I have never heard it in the over 50 years I have been involved in music except for Lucy Thomas probably means no one else can even perform it.

It’s like WHAT THE ? How is this possible, how does she keep improving at this rate. It gets to the point where you n everyone one are looking for the words to describe her n we can’t find the perfect word. I knew she is to appear in a musical called ROSIE sometime in 2024 but didn’t know about the TV series WOW. I wonder how many followers she was on Instagram- ? I’ve never checked? By this time next year she will be WORLD FAMOUS and be holding the No.1 position in the world. I totally get what u say when u say you don’t want her to be lost to the crazy world out there in the industry. I understand your worries for Lucy. I hope her mom and sister hold tight to her, because Hollywood will try to eat her alive. When I look at early videos of Whitney Houston, she was also a sweet young thing, very talented, grew up singing in church, and even had cousin Dionne Warwick already in the business who could warn her what fame could do. Yet she still ended up with Bobby Brown and drugs, and died much too early. I fear for Lucy. I hope she stays strong, because she is too good to lose.

You asked about whether Lucy was on the Voice or American Idol. At 15 she was on a talent competition called the Voice for teens. She was out at the semifinals. A recording company signed her up and look at her now.
Larry, the exact show was a the Voice kids and was held in 2018.
Your reviews are spot on.... Lucy is the real deal and UK's best kept secret is finally getting lots of air time. 2 years ago, there were a handful of review channels... today there are dozens. Even as a much younger performer, there was something so special and mature about her voice. That comes with hard work and lots of practice. Her voice has become recognized and her future is so bright. Her team has a lifelong career planned doing what she loves to do... performing.
You picked the right words to describe how Lucy's has to be heard, then it is hard using the right words. Say too many nice things and some artists stop working. I don't see that happening with Lucy. I think Lucy knows the difference between coasting and working. No one wants something you didn't work for. Lucy has skipped the tats, piercings, and wild hair.

Lucy demonstrates her vocal finesse in ways that leaves no question about her vocal skills honed over 10 years already. She has real talent and is not afraid to use it.
