  • Yeti’s flip top lid with a straw is a neat addition to the Yeti line. Designed for cold drinks, you can now flip and sip without worrying about spilling your drinks. Aaron does a flip upside down test and shows how it fits into the Rambler line of Yeti products.

      Thanks for your review. I bought this lid based on your information. I hadn’t been able to find any real world information on the lid and your review was great!

    Thank you for the excellent reviews you do. I’ve been drinking hot drinks with a straw for over thirty years now. You may remember the days before car cup holders were common, and the usual resting place for your take out coffee was held on the seat between your legs. I used to drive a cab, and after one too many cups of hot coffee splashing into my lap, I noticed a coworker using a coffee stirrer to drink his coffee (stuck into a small slot in the cups lid), thereby removing that problem. It was a small step for a man to go from stirrer to proper straw. As an added benefit, when I used to have a mustache, using a straw helped to ensure the mustache stayed nice and clean. 😃👍🏻

    hey i have been searching and searching and i cannot find ANY info on weather or not you can dismantle the rambler straw lid?
    i was cleaning mine and decided there was no way they wouldn't make it dismantle able so just popped my drinking portion out of the base.
    seems fine and does not leak when left upside down but i do see some signs that the plastic was "pushed" along by the little prongs. have you found any info on this?
    btw GREAT VIDEO! very informative thanks!

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  4 года назад

      You can yank off the straw of course but pulling the flip top - you probably can, but I don't want to break mine. It probably just snaps in.

  • @jeffgenchi5863

    Mine works great on my 36 oz rambler, however, my wife's 26 oz rambler builds pressure with water and will only bent when the straw is opened. I am going to replace the check valve and see if that helps. We only use water and ice in ours. I hear mine vent a bit while carrying it closed but my wife's does not and will shoot pressured water at her or the kids.

      Mine will shoot out the top if you change elevation. Unless you drink frequently.

    Hi Sir !
    Has its insulation function been reduced? When using this cover and the base lid, does the heat retention function be changed?

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  4 года назад +3

      The heat retention is really good with this lid. Its nearly the same as the screw on sealed lid.

    Can this lid be used without the straw to tip up side down to drink. I think alot of people might want to know. Thanks

    • @conductorcammon
      @conductorcammon 4 года назад +1

      Yes it works without the straw.

    • @purgasoj
      @purgasoj 4 года назад +3

      Yes I use it exclusively without the inner straw. You just have to flip and tip to drink without the straw. Then flip it back down to avoid spilling as water obviously will come out if it falls over with the flip part up and no straw on the inside initiating the suction.

    Is the straw long enough for the 64 oz rambler?

    • @alexedwin3130
      @alexedwin3130 Год назад

      Yes the 36 or 32 is the smallest one you have the cut the straw for anything bigger than that you do not need the straw

    can you use it without the straw and just tip it up?

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  4 года назад +1

      In theory, yes. However, that doesn't work for me because the flip top requires suction to really work correctly.

    • @purgasoj
      @purgasoj 4 года назад +1

      This is exactly how I use it. No inner straw just flip the top and tip to drink

    • @ALinsdau

      That’s a rough one with sensitive teeth. I have torched my tongue when using a straw, so it’s something to be careful with.
