Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would write a message to answer some of your questions.
If your cookies are turning out unlike the video, please do try to resist from making changes to the recipe as it will affect the final texture.
These cookies also need to be baked after the dough has been made and you won't be able to freeze them for baking at a later time without affect the consistency.
Another factor to look out for is to ensure that your eggs are whisked to the right consistency and thickness. It will take some time but it is key to get them fluffy. A hand held mixer may require a much longer whisking time than a stand mixer.
Lastly, if your melted chocolate is too hot your batter may be a little softer, so just let your melted chocolate cool slightly before you use it or you can let your final batter sit for a few minutes to firm up slightly before baking.
Hope this helped.
Sara :)
Hi i have question, is it possible to make this cookies without thermometer? Since the final batter needs to be in certain temp?
@Buttermilk Pantry can I get the measurements in cups please?
here are the measurements for the ingredients in cups, i tried my best!
3/4 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids)
1 3/4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
the white of one large egg
1/8 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/8 cup all purpose flour
it's hard to tell for cocoa powder, but about 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup
hope this helps!
Chloe Dykxhoorn Yesss! Thank you so much this definitely helped!!
Thank you so much, Ms Chloe. :) Can we make a vegetarian variant of it too, without eggs?
@@A.Spirited_Solivagant i havent tried with vegetarian options, but for brownies you can generally substitute 1 egg with 1 teaspoon baking soda + 1 tablespoon vinegar (combine separately then add to recipe) or 1/4 cup applesauce! i haven't tried tho these just generally work. i hope that helps! and pls, no ms, if you don't mind!
Hi what kind of cocoa powder? Dark or light
@@berry1897 it doesn't say in the recipe, but if it helps dark cocoa powder is gonna give a deeper flavor and is usually better for baking!
I just tried this recipe, and it turned out soooo gooood! So chewy, fudgy and less sweet just the way I like it!
ingredients :
130g dark chocolate
25g unsalted butter
65gr white sugar
25gr light brown sugar
1/4 tbs salt
1 big egg
1 big white egg
15gr all purpose flour
30gr cocoa powder
I just made this and it turns out to be more brownie and less cookie. it looks and tastes like brownies but in small pieces. it doesn't look cracky on the top like in the video but it still taste very good 😻 thank you for the recipe!
My soul is happy while watching! 😊
The music and the video itself are soo soothing and somehow satisfying 🤤
I just made these and they’re delicious! The texture is wonderful and rich, not as dense and chewy as a traditional brownie, kind of between a brownie and a good chocolate mousse. I added a few grams of espresso powder as I do that for most chocolate recipe, but other than that I followed instructions exactly. I would strongly recommend to use an ice cream or cookie scoop to form the cookies though. I used two spoons and they didn’t smooth over and don’t look very pretty.
I made these when a chocolate craving crept up on me sometime last week. Even though i made them for myself to eat slowly over a few days they were gone in two; my fam loved them!!! So good. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing :>
I just made them, they turned out really delicious!!
I make this cookies yesterday! was so delicious!! my family eat them all hahah! Thank u❤️
So glad you and your family liked them!
4th time making this! love it! although sometimes the texture didn't turn out right. tips: make sure to melt the choc properly & slowly so it'll be smooth & not dry, let the choc cool before mixing in if not cookies will spread & be flat
Thanks! This has been my problem for several times now and i dont know what i did wrong, but now i realise that i wasn't letting the chocolate cool so thanks a bunch
Hi saw your post thought it might help me solve my flat cookie issue. I made Aldi boxed brownie cookies which I love but turned out flat so then thought I would try homemade cookies from this guy's recipe they looked perfect and delicious. I just made his recipe similar recipe like this one same ingredients pretty much same technics. But the guy told me to mix my eggs for 1-2 minutes with a mixer but this lady says different and after I melted my chocolate & butter it was smooth when I poured it in my egg batter I didn't know to wait for it to cool a little. Was upset and disappointed they didn't turn out but they still taste good. Was trying to figure out were I went wrong I saw you made them a few times. Maybe I can remake them using your advice and see if they turn out. So did you ever get yours to turn out and not flat. Thanks for the advice.
I made these and it turned out amazing thanks!
I tried them today and they are so good, it’s incredible! I don’t have a stand mixer so I used a hand mixer, and it worked perfectly (it is a quite powerful hand mixer, it probably helped!) I baked them a little longer because my oven is huge, I often have to do this. Anyway, thank you for this recipe, my family enjoyed them a lot and it cheered us up in these difficult times.
It's so nice to hear that, glad you and your family enjoyed them :)
Hi, may i know what kind of cocoa powder you used? Natural or dutch? And how many days the cookie survive in room temp?
@@berry1897 use dutch, it's darker and adds more chocolate flavor
At what degree and how much time should I let them in the oven?
@@kaylavip6127 I think he mentions it at 3:22 180C for 6 mins
I just made these and they are absolutely my favorite. I am a chocolate lover so they hit that mark big-time. Absolutely delicious. I made them according to the recipe, but there are so many versions you could add to them for different flavors or make them into sandwich cookies with icing inside. I love your videos!
Thank you so much for the kind message :) So happy to hear that you liked them!
Cookies are amazing brownies are amazing together it's a blast!! Loved it
I have made these several times already and it's so yummy 🤤
I am only 14 which proves how easy this recipe is to make. 10000/10
Love salty and sweet combos!! well done.
Thank you 😋
Looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Can't wait to try them!!!!
The cookies look incredible! A treat to the eyes too!
I tried this recipe last week. Everyone loved it. Thank you for sharing this ^^
made these today and the consistency of my egg mixture was not the same as yours but mine crinkled beautiful and had a gooey centre!! thank you for the recipe
I haven't tried the recipe yet, but I can tell it will be amazing. I just subscribed to your channel after watching this video, it's so well made, aesthetically pleasing!
amazing in grace
Just made these. Do plan ahead and have your tray ready if it’s cold where you are - the mix starts to firm up quite quickly so my second batch did not spread as much to form nice rounded shapes. They are very rich - you need a glass of milk with them! Next time I would like to make another batch with some finely chopped nuts in them for texture.
i made these and theyre so yummy! my fam kept on coming in the kitchen to eat them, and they finished before i got to put em on a plate!
I added salted caramel icing from M&S. Put a dollop in each cookie. Omg so good..
this is perfect
Perfect!!! Love your video
Thank you so much for the recipe:)
this video makes me want to put my life together
My mouth is watering 🤤
Hi Sara! Love your video and how visually helpful it is for those of us who are attempting to make it! I'm going to be attempting this tomorrow and I'm just wondering (not that I'm going to modify any baking recipe at my first attempt) if I were to add some chopped nuts to this, would it work out well? If yes, do you have any recommendations for appropriate nuts, a rough estimation of the amount to add and when would be a good time to add them to the dough? Thank you so much for the assist! I can't wait to try them out!
Wow.Wow.perfect brownies.👏👏👌🍫
Love your channel ❤️
Yum
I'm definitely going to try this recipe. Probably going to add some nuts, choclate chunks and of course I'm going to double the recipe hahaha it is really a dream this dessert.
yummy!
Thank you so much for the amazing recipe. I finally made it today and it was quite a success. However, when I took it out of the oven, the bottom part curved in like a dome shape. What caused this to happen? Only 1-2 of them stay flat on the bottom.
For those with hand mixer or a small cheap stand mixer like mine, I personally beaten the eggs for 20 minutes in total, 5 mins medium speed and 15 minutes on max speed (was gonna stop at 10 but didn’t feel like it was thicken enough). I also reduce sugar to 65g in total and it turned out perfect for me, I would say the original amount of sugar isn’t too sweet for most people though.
Hi this video is great! I want to ask so we dont need any baking powder?
Looks delicious, can't wait to give it a try in our channel
self isolation food for the soul:D:D
Tried and tested! This recipe is legit 👌🏼
I’m glad! Some other channels are complete liars.
@@katya5573 yeah your right..most of the time when i follow a recipie from utube that almost fails...idk what kinda profit those liar utuber gets by not uploading the full recipie video 😔
@@tabassumtuba2594 personally I usually go to the comments and check for comments that say they tried it and it worked. Those recipes are usually real

Thumbnail: well helllllo there.
Me: Clicks and the screen shatters. Lol. Greatttttttt vid btw!!!!!!
Yummy👌🏻
Thank you for using grams as the measurement 👏🏼
That's what baking should be....
I'll totally skip any recipe once I see cup measurements, ounces & esp BUTTER (WTH is 1 tablespoon of it)....
Superb it maybe tasty
This would have been a great asmr vid 😏
130g dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids)
25g unsalted butter
1/4tsp salt
1 large egg (approx 54g without shell)
28g egg white (approx 1 large egg white)
25g light brown sugar
65g white sugar
15g all purpose flour
30g unsweetened cocoa powder
Thank you 💕
Your Welcome❤️
Very nice upload. Take care & stay safe.
Hi, can i use palm sugar instead of light brown sugar ? Thank you ☺
I dont have a thermometer to measure the temperature of the melted chocolate + butter. Can i let it cool for approx 5 mins (considering SG's weather)?
Hi. I would to ask on how to achieve the cracked portion on top? I am wondering, because sometimes the cookies are just like yours but sometimes they were not :( I wanted the cracked on top and shiny at the same time. Please advise. Thank you ;)
damn can we talk about the videography tho 👌🏻
how many does this yield? if i want to double the recipe, what needs to be changed?
excellent my friend
Hi! Thank you for sharing this recipe. Tried it today and the taste is amazing. The texture is just not the same. I baked it for 6.5 minutes and still uncooked so left it for about 5.5 minutes more. It was better but the outcome is flat and too soft. May I know what have i done wrong?
Thankyouu for sharing this recipe 🙌🏻😊 but I have a question, Can I know how long this cookies would last? If I put them in a bottle
Hi I dont have a measuring device. Can you explain in terms of cup size?
Nice mam kya egg ko remove nhi kr skti
Tried this recipe today and IT WAS GREAT! It’s not very sweet and good for first timers like me, looking to bake in small quantity to try out! Very very very chocolatey but LOVE IT❤️ the outcome is just like what’s in the video and not something else😂 Thanks for the recipe!!
So happy to hear that, and yes, they are definitely indulgent and chocolatey ;)
Great recipe! But real question, no baking powder needed?
What If I pipe the dough to make it more large? Is it gonna work?
Is there any way we can substitute the size of the egg, like can I use two medium eggs for 1 large egg?
Can i use this recipe for square shape brownies?
Can i ask one question? I followed all your video instruction but the final batter is quite melt so i don't need to put in the refrigerator before putting them in the oven, Am i right?
Please note that i love your recipe and will practice more.
Thank you for sharing a recipe and techniques😋
WOW production quality!!!
One suggestion is maybe refine music to something more gentle, minimalist, perhaps natural.
yeah, i agree with the music part.
I agree, I always question their choice of bg music D;
I had tried this recipe last weekend. Unfortunately, my cookies volume couldn't increase. Shall I put any baking powder? However, the taste were good.
Can I also refrigerate the batter prior to baking since it's a bit runny. If so, how long? Thank you.
Hi! I tried making these but the tops of my cookies were just porous, not shiny with pretty cracks like yours. Any idea why?
I’m scared to make them bc I live in a hot country (Mexico) and what if the consistency is not correct😣
Can i ask you something, when the mixture is ready can we put it in the fridge before bake it?
Can i add chocolate chip or nuts on top?
I have made, mine is still not dried completely. It’s still wet. Should i bake it for few more minutes?
I have siemens oven & i have baked on 180 c for 6 mins on preheat setting.
Can I use compound dark chocolate?
Hi Sara,
I just bake this recipe today but mine not shiny and crack. Can you tell me how to fix this? Thanks
Should I pre heat the oven
Hi, can I reduce the amount of white sugar? So it will not too sweet because I am using 57% dark chocolate
I don't have brown sugar, can i just use the usual white sugar?
HI , love your video. The only thing I noticed you don't use baking powder, that is the perfect for me.
I have a question, I have a small oven, I want to make half of your ingredients.
Will you able to give me the half of ingredients? Especially the egg...how ?
Please and thanks~~~
I tried many recipes but this is AMAZING!! Thank you for sharing. Is there any chances you could double the recipe? I would appreciate it a lot!
I double n triple it! Can be done!
Where did you learn this recipe?
hi just want to ask if how many cookies can be made in this recipe? hope you can reply to my comment thankyou
Hi..may I know why you used two egg whites ? Thank you for recipe.
I have tried many many timesssss carefully, it turned out different from the video but the taste was good.
Not sure this recipe is accurate
130 chocolate
35 batter
65 white sugar
25 brown sugar
54 Egg
28 Egg white
1/4 tsp Salt
15 all purpose flour
30 cacoa
180 c for 6min

Hello! Is your oven a convection oven? Would you recommend switching on the oven fan for this recipe? Do I then need to adjust the temp?
Hi, my oven is a convection oven. The FAQ section on my blog has details on the oven modes that I usually use.
Is it fine if i dont have brown sugar?
Can i make the recipe without brown sugar ?
What if i put it in refrigerator first?
Can we skip egg? Replace it with what ?
hi please,,how much cookies it gives?
I dont have brown sugar.. is it okay if i skipp?
how many cookies does this yield!!
I want to make this but the last time I tried to convert from grams to cups it was a mess.
Can I use chocolate powder instead of cocoa powder ?
Can you use oil instead of butter?
