I can close my eyes and transport my mind back to mornings riding to school listening to this song, or evenings riding to wrestling practice in the van with a bunch of older kids, listening to this, Peter Frampton, etc, and lying in bed at night. In the twilight of life I am sorry for the last few decades of kids who missed out on this amazing era of truly amazing music. Rest in peace to those magnificent musicians who have passed. As has been stated: If there's a rock n roll heaven, you know they've got a hell of a band!

Classic Rock and Roll Guitar Solo with Keyboards
That live version was nothing short of FANTASTIC
In my late 60s now. I saw so many Bands from 1971-76. These guys were the Real Deal. Killer musicians, great songs and multi Vocalist Band. This one of the greatest songs from the 70s. Pretty much a Rock Anthem- not your typical 3 minute song
Epic song and performance. I'm so happy you guys are sharing these masterpiece videos!
Lovely clear footage
Glad you enjoyed it
Springsteen's version kind of never gelled like this one does, MMEB nailed it in getting what he was trying to get across. Not trying to trash Bruce but really got this version and they really played their hearts out, so glad we have MS to showcase bands and songs like this...stunning!
This was one of my favorite songs when I was less than ten. I was alive for three months in the 60’s and I have so many great memories of songs from the 70’s!
So thankful these were recorded. Noone would ever believe us if we tried to tell them how good music was back then.
A lot of us are watching. Everytime this song comes on the radio I'm blasting the windows out.
Totally awesome!! Thanks!
You bet!
One of the best damn songs ever made.
Thank you, Mr. Springsteen, for writing it.
Thank You, Manfred Mann, for changing it.
Loved this song! I still can remember when this played at the roller rink, it was great fun!
Bruce Springsteen's best song ever. This live performance is incredible, complicated little number in a variety of ways
Bruce is such a pile of excrement I’m glad his best song got famous because of someone else.
He looks a bit different in this.
Best song ever? Only when he's not the one singing it maybe.
@@Huddle_House56 You're being too kind there.
@@Huddle_House56lol I’m not even that big of a fan but he has some great songs objectively

Wow, you don't ask for much, do you?🙄
I never understood the lyrics, but I loved it anyway!
Chris Slade, monster of a drummer, criminally underrated.
