Depends on the school. Most are less, some are more - but not much more. Still staffing shortages in private schools too - so it can't be a lot more.

It’s less. Private school teachers make less because they’re not funded by the government, only by tuition
100%. I’m going into the teaching field and I’ve talked to public and private school teachers. Defiantly going to public school. Also private school teachers don’t have pension or benefits after they retire.

True! They also tend to have shorter work days as the students often have a lot of random subjects & extra curriculars which are taught by specialists
Private school teachers often make a lot less but also have fewer hours because the students tend to have a lot of extra curricular activities, language classes, different arts & culture classes, different sports etc.

The school I go to is private, but also has a church so the 10,000 a year some of the kids are putting into it( I have a grant) is all going to the church so the teachers make $30,000 a year the average for my county is 45,000 for public
